This wire wrapping tutorial features a simple wire wrapped bead link, where the wire encases the bead with a pretty wave effect. Materials you will need:
0.7mm (21g) wire - for the links
Or, 0.6mm (22g) or 0.8mm (20g) it's your choice.
1mm (18g) wire - for the clasp
Flush cutters, or nail clippers
Bail making pliers or round nose
Chain nose pliers
Flat nose pliers (optional)
Bench block and jewellers hammer (for the clasp)
Ruler

Lovely! Your video came at just the right time for me too. I made a triple strand wire wrapped beaded bracelet this weekend, and I couldn't get the clasp right. I put it to the side until I could go back and find your other video that showed how to make it. Now I can finish my new bracelet. Thanks for sharing!
Ah that’s wonderful to hear ☺️ I’m so pleased you found it useful ☺️

Great ideas and thank you for sharing your skills.❤

Thank you! Amazing tutorials 💖
Thank you so much for watching 🥰
I love this bracelet Samantha. I added 2 dangles on the loops between the bead to give it sparkle. Each dangle consisted of two 3 and 4 crystals. It turned out gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this beautiful bracelet. ❤😊
Ooh that sounds just lovely 🥰 I’m so happy you love it
Thank you for sharing ❤️ lovely 😊
My pleasure 😊 Thank you so much ☺️

@@samanthalatimer1 Most definitely, Thank you 😁
They're fabulous 😮❤
Excellent video!
Thank you 🙏
Hahaha I’m making this one with my rose gold wire and beads alternating white, light pink, lilac. Darn me though, I get so wrapped up (pun intended lol) wrapping that I forget to attach it to the previous one before wrapping it so perfectly. I had to attach the last one I made backwards. Boooo 😢
Noooooo! 🫣 I call these “design changes” and look upon them as unique interpretations 😍 Those colours sound gorgeous though ☺️
@@samanthalatimer1 I’m wondering if I should combat my braindeadness by attaching them with the tiniest jump ring between the links lol.
@@CelestialPopCollectiveOfficial I think anything goes! It will look beautiful which ever way ☺️
Loooove your channel!😊
That’s sooo kind, thank you! I’ll be back soon with lots more (as soon as my house move is done) 😍
Hope you made a tutorial for the original swirly center, it’s lovely. Made my bracelet with beads from a broken kyanite bracelet that was just beads. This made it look so much more elegant! I paid a pretty penny for the kyanite and wanted it to be fancy. Thanks for your advice. I will wear it proudly!
Kyanite is gorgeous so I’m so glad you repurposed 🥰 I’ll make a tutorial on the swirly component soon 🙏
Its beautiful
Very kind of you, thank you ☺️
Thank you VERY much for this tutorial. I had some pretty 6mm Flower Agate beads... and decided they would be perfect for this bracelet. Your video was easy to follow... your instructions were very easy to see and understand... and my bracelet turned out beautiful! I definitely will be making more. Thanks again for sharing your skills with us. 😊
You’re so so welcome! Thank you for your kind feedback.

Yay Lisa! That’s wonderful 🤩 I know when you start, you’ll be hooked, for sure 🥰
@@samanthalatimer1 I've dabbled a bit with beads but never used wire before. I've subbed to your channel, just bought some 18 gauge wire and now binge watching you videos. I'm loving this. xx

Wow how straightforward the instruction was and you make it look easy. I am going to want to make one or more of these thank you for your time and clear instruction. I appreciate learning from you.

I am enjoying your videos. This is a lovely set! ❤️
That’s so kind of you, thank you ☺️
Lovely!❤💙
Thank you so much ☺️
Loved the video. Great direction. You make it look so easy. Tried a couple links and realized my wire gauge was too big and tough to wrap. I found some smaller gauge wire and it was a bit easier but I need to keep practicing so my wires don’t look beat up. It’s a challenge to use a tool in each hand at the same time (I’m not very coordinated) but I’ll keep practicing and folllowing your example.
Oh I know what you mean with the coordination thing… it takes time but you’ll soon be an expert, I promise 🥰
Thanks for sharing
So welcome 🙏 Thank you for watching 😌
Your video just showed up and I wanted to watch it. You are amazingly easy to follow. I love the bracelets and the necklace. Oh and I would love to try the spiral component too.
That’s very kind of you to say… thank you! I’ll be doing a tutorial on the spiral component very soon 😍
I would love to see you make that center component!
That’s on my list! 🥰
Such a fun design. I really like the simplistic beauty. I will tackle your technique and I will also make a few anklets aka longer bracelets. Some of my clientelle have beachfront vacation homes, they even wear waistchains. New Subscriber.
Thank you for subbing, and I hope you enjoy making your anklets 🥰
Great tutorial; you make it look so easy and I can't wait to have a go. I'd also love to know how to make the spiral. I detect a North West accent Samantha; are you from anywhere near Widnes in Cheshire?
Definitely north west but not Cheshire. I hail from the north west coast 😍

I luv this wrap bead idea! What wire guage & size jump ring did you use at the ends of the bracelet? ...just out of curiosity. Looks like 18 guage wire & maybe a 6-8 mm jump ring.
Your videos are so easy to follow and your video work is fantastic. It's like being in class with an instructor! Thnx so much for sharing your talent.
Hi Susan - that is so very kind of you to say, thank you so much.
You’re correct… 1mm or 18 guage wire and, if I recall, 6mm jump ring. You have great eyes 🥰
Why do you use copper? I see alot of beading or wire work is always copper. Can you use silver wire?
I love your designs! You definitely have a gift for creating beautiful jewelry!!❤❤❤
Copper is affordable and pretty so I guess that’s why 😍 You can absolutely use silver or anything you like ❤️
I want to learn the big spiral in the center!
I’ll do a quick video on it soon 😍
Are you using dead soft or half hard wire here? thank you
Soft 🥰
Can I use 8 mm round stone beads instead? I could prepare 6 inch wire instead of 4 and half to compensate
Absolutely! I think the larger beads would look beautiful.
Hello! New subscriber, really enjoyed the tutorial, thank you! Can i ask, what size beads you used, to get the cutting measurements for the wrapped loops? And how do you measure different sized beads to the length of wire needed? Best wishes, Anna.
Hi there and thank you for subbing ☺️ So I used 6mm beads here, but you can use any size really… 4mm up to maybe 10mm. As for the lengths of wire, you pretty much just go by eye. For the 6mm I maybe use around 3-3.5in lengths. You want to ensure you have a comfortable amount with which to wrap. So to begin, I’d advise using just slightly more than you think you’ll need, until you get the hang of it, and then you can make the lengths a little shorter. I find if you use a longer length, your wraps are much neater and more uniform 🥰

Thank you for taking the tome to answer me! Regards, Anna.
Bonjour, merci pour ce superbe cours. Je l'ai fait avec agate mousse pour ma fille qui ne le quitte jamais , il est très solide. J'en refait de plusieurs tailles de pierre . Merci encore❤
I was glad you included the bit about work hardening. Might be good to say that too much work hardening actually can lead to brittleness.
I use a pair of hard plastic bench block slabs, as well as a leather hammer and a plastic head hammer or plastic jawed pliers instead of metal tools for the come-in-with-ers to work harden when I don't want to flatten the metal.
For findings, flattening can be good to provide more stiffness in a certain direction. Sometimes the hammered look is not desired, and the directional bias is not desired, and the softer plastic tools allow for work hardening like that. The hardening is slower, btw. A very hard wood can work for this as well.
If the wire presses right down into the wood it is too soft.
Back in the 90's I made a good amount of wire wrap jewelry. I had a wrapped bead bracelet design that sold very well among coworkers.
In fortch the pattern could work loose after many wearings. I may resume wire wrapping and am looking for a different wrap pattern. I may try this one.
BTW, I used sterling silver wire. Even more popular than nice stone beads, glossy black (American) football/ rugby ball shaped glass beads were the most popular. Black is so versatile, and contrasts nicely with silver.
I recommend trying that color combo, whether for personal use or resale. It is very appealing and versatile.
Hi Dennis
I very much appreciate your experience and your very kind words. I do use a leather hammer for some items as you’re quite correct in that it hardens but keeps the shape of the wire without the flattening.
I do love the flattened look for some pieces. It’s really good to have your experience, so thank you for taking the time the time to give us the benefit of your knowledge.
OH! Another thing to be aware of is that since the findings are lighter than the beads, they will tend to float to the top of the wrist. If you're ok with this, it's a good idea to make the findings worth looking at. Alternatively, you can weight the bracelet near the clasp/ findings. I experimented with some extra wrapped beads that dangled from the findings. I also made a need from heavy gauge silver wire that was heavy enough to keep the clasp hanging at the bottom of the wrist. Each option has pros and cons. Of course, using sterling for ballast is kinda pricey! The next thing I was going to try was to substitute a wound sterling silver wire bead for the beads on either side of the clasp so there would not be anything dangling.... Of course, still kinda pricey. Making sterling silver dangley beads lets you make them an optional add-on that you charge for. Those that want them can have them, those that don't won't have to pay extra, and gives your bracelet a wider potential market.
Do you use dead soft or half hard wire?
I use dead soft for the copper ☺️
Can you write up the steps...one by one to these bracelet
I’m sorry I can’t write the steps. There is only the video instructions 🙂
Where do you purchase your wire from?
Hi Dianna. I’m in the UK and buy from the Scientific Wire Company, an online store ☺️
Where do you purchase your raw wire? Thanks 😊

Which design do you mean, Aslinda? I’ll try my best to help 😊
@@samanthalatimer1 the one with black beads wrapped by copper..it was wrapped individually and connected together
@@aslindaahamad2122I’m so sorry… I’m not sure what you mean? These components I show here can be used for any length chain, so can be used for bracelets and necklaces … you just make as many as you need for whatever length you need 😊
I tried nail clippers and the wire won. It broke the clippers!
Ah no! That’s really unfortunate! The clippers I use are super strong! Flush cutters for you, then, lovely ☺️
