  • Welcome back, lovely souls.
Learn how to make wire wrapped coil beads, and how to link them together to make a copper wire wrap necklace or earrings. This beginner friendly tutorial will take you step by step through the process.
Today, I thought I'd throw caution to the wind, and introduce myself. A very nervous couple of minutes showing my face (ARGH) and then I show you how to make lovely copper coil beads, which you can use for all sorts of jewellery projects.
I'd like to link a couple of wire artists' channels here, as they were invaluable when I was first learning to play about with wire, and I'd like to credit them here, for their time and generosity:
The very beautiful Yvonne at / @backtoearthcreations who is so very talented and generous with her time. I urge you to check her out. And, the lovely www.youtube.com/@LilyTree/videos who is such a talent, and I loved watching her videos when I was starting out.
    Materials for today:
    1mm copper wire (18g)
    0.4mm copper wire (24g)
    0.8mm copper wire (20g)
    Flush Cutters
    2 x chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers or 6-step pliers
    Rule
    File for rough edges
    4mm beads of your choosing
    6mm beads of your choosing
    2.5mm knitting needle or dowel
Hope you have a lovely time making these. They're so versatile and you can use them for all sort of jewellery projects.
    See you next time x

Hi Samantha-thank you for your great channel and lessons. I’m just getting started-I have lots of supplies but many of the RUclips videos with other creators are overwhelming and go too fast. You’re easy to understand and keep me motivated to keep going and not give up. I’ve actually been afraid to start, though I’ve been collecting supplies for over a year! Thank you for your supplies list. I’m going to put it all together and get started in the morning. I’m excited to get started, no longer overwhelmed! I’m in the US but just love England! I was there in 2016 and saw a lot of the country. I loved every minute of it and wish I could get back lots more often. Hopefully again, soon. Just wanted to say hello and tell you how much I appreciate your teachings. Enjoy your weekend and thank you so much for your help and encouragement. Wish I lived closer. Would love to have you help me in a class. No classes near me here. Will be watching your uploads! 💕Bonnie

Hi Bonnie 🥰 Oh this is lovely to hear! I’m so happy you feel motivated to start your new craft and I just know you’ll LOVE it and be totally hooked like the rest of us 😅 I have tried hard to make my videos slow and deliberate for just this reason, but I’m also in awe of a lot of the wire artists here on RUclips as they’re amazing, aren’t they!!? I don’t have the same talent, but there’s always room for simple and elegant things, I think 😍 I’m glad you liked your time in England… were a complicated country, for sure, but I’m so proud to be British and I love my country very much. Have fun making, and please do let me know how you get along ❤️

I will keep you posted on my progress. You have good reason to be proud of being British. Everyone was so lovely to me there, and your country is so beautiful! Enjoy your day 💕

Thank you for another wonderful tutorial. I can't wait to try my hand at this, I just love the style. The coils look so easy to make. Right now, I'm making bohemian necklaces. This way, I put my two loves together, crocheting and jewelry making. It's fun. I wore one when we took my dad out for his birthday, and the waitress fell in love with it, so naturally, I had to make her one too. I am looking forward to your next tutorial and getting a glimpse of your part of the world. Beautiful scenery......

I trialled doing the tutorials in my lounge, so the sound wasn’t great on this particular one. Sorry about that. The rest of my videos are done in a different room, so you shouldn’t have any problems with those ☺️
