Thanks Neville for the second update of Andrew's restoration tour. Absolutely outstanding. Really good to hear from him again. Looking forward to your next update. Best wishes to you Neville and all the guys at East Kirkby. 👍
Thanks for another great year of reporting on the outstanding work going on at East Kirkby. It was a pleasure to be there for Andrew’s lecture and a great pleasure to meet you again. All the best to you and yours for Christmas and the New Year.
Thanks for part 2 Neville, and thanks to Andrew for the excellent talk. I didnt realise how much the rivet club was raising. Just think, if everyone who watches this video joined imagine the difference it would make to the project.
AS always an excellent tour. Chris gives a really good account of what is involved in the restoration of NX611. Keep up the good work both you and Chris. I look forward each week to you videos.
Thanks again Neville....interesting as always. Thought Andrew might have mentioned your RUclips channel though !! The information gained through it is invaluable. In the meantime please accept my best wishes for you and your wife for Christmas and the New year. -:)
How is 611 rebuilt to flying condition fuselage protected from damage whilst offering taxiing ? . Great video as always thanks . Hope I'm still around to see her fly .
Wonderful ! And being Part 2 - I would expect the sound to continue to be excellent (except when your man in back just had to drag the ladder loudly). What is the word Andrew used (around 08:24) referring to the material around the rivet hole which had to meet minimum requirements ? I didn’t catch the British term/pronunciation of the material of the purple rivets ? Thank us for watching - THANK YOU for filming, being a person who has earned intimate access, and sharing !
Hello Neville . Another terrific talk from Andrew . And thankyou for sharing it with us ! I do wonder why Andrew doesn't taxi the Mossie and the B25 (? ) and dedicate continuous , uninterrupted time for 12 months to NX6111. Thanks Neville and thankyou Andrew
Will the restoration team be available to rebuild other Lancaster sections or parts once NX611 is completed, for example the NX664 centre and cockpit sections? It would be a shame to lose all the expertise of the team once NX611 is flying again.
Fascinating but that chap moving the stepladder, it was almost like a statement “let’s make as much noise as possible whilst Andrew is talking and why not string it out as long as possible “ really found it distracting, I wonder could he have moved the ladder later or at least been a bit quieter ?

Great video thank you Neville! Merry Christmas to you and many thanks for your dedication to this noble cause!!
Why not have “ buy a former, intercostal, stringer etc . Then you can watch her at air displays knowing you’re part of her ?

Terrific video, as ever...is or has Keith retiring/left the project? Lovely bloke 👏

johndavey72 The mosquito is privately owned by Tony Agar, and i think, the B25 is under restoration to taxi standard.
Dave must be holding his breath while the new former is being passed around :)

Hi Nev, another great video as always . When Andrew uses the term 'aluminium ' does he actually mean 'duralumin'?
It seems strange that structural parts of the aeroplane can be placed in a manner that would allow them to be damaged after referbishment.
Here's to another 227 videos 😅
I meant Andrew. I dont know where i got Chris from.
