  • After last week's video "Body in the Bog" I have been contacted by some incredible people who gave me the coordinates to ANOTHER CRASH SITE, out on Hatfield Moors. Please join us as we try to pu the pieces together to discover WHAT plane this is, and why it crashed there... During WWII the body of a young airman fell from the skies and landed in the Hatfield Peat Moors in South Yorkshire. His remains were discovered by Peat Cutters on Thursday 23rd July 1987. After 6 years of research, and a look back at the incredible bravery of the Polish Air Forces based in the UK, have we unearthed who is the body in the bog? This video is dedicated to the men and women of the Polish Air Force during WWII, and is in memory of 305 Squadron, Vickers Wellington Bomber operators who carried out many successfull missions out of RAF Lindholme and RAF Syerston, as well as the memory of their little dog Ciapek, who might be the key to unravelling the mistery! 'Ziemia Wielkopolska'.

    PSCR3 = Avro part subcontracted to the Pressed Steel Company.
    R3 is Avro.
    The rusted 'square' part is turret armour, the rusted bottle shape is part of aircrew 'walk-around' portable oxygen set-up.

    It's really important not to disturb the wreckage, best to report to MOD anything you find new, there is a department that deal with it. :)

      Fully reported and items that were handed in to me are awaiting a destination to be sent to and I will drive them there myself 🙏🏻

    Square metal object at 5:30 is a piece of armoured metal plate, along with a few others on the ground at 6:30. I have one from a Hawker Hurricane and it is stamped with manufactures marks. I'd suggest cleaning the surface with a wire brush and having a look in angled light. It is of course possible that more than one wreck is located at the deposit site if they were dumping items from a large area.

      Yes ive heard it ‘could’ be more than one plane 🙏🏻 the area is so inaccessible I wont be going back, and I’m genuinely not the right person for the job so handed all information over to the aviation authorities

    I do think a proper head stone telling the story of this Lancaster would be a good idea. And a small museum with all the parts label d found belonging to this Lancaster from alison sadler England 🇬🇧 😊

    7:10 Rear gun turret twin gun mount That landing gear knuckle looks like the aircraft had its landing gear down at the time of the crash

    I know of a couple of stories one come from a good source the other not so good but I think original they both came from the good source. There is a plan crash in some woods on the far end of the moors also there was a tail of a plane that would come out off the ground in one of the peat bogs every now and then. Sadly the man that I know would be good to talk to is no longer with us. I’m guessing the person who you talked to from Lindholme Hall was a lyons? They owned the place for a lot of years

      @willmxkid7033  6 месяцев назад

      Yes one of the sons, you mention a crash in the trees? Ive been given some information that the W5557 known Polish site might not be that plane but R1073 instead which killed two pilots from RAF Finningley. R1073 was the tail that appeared and was excavated in 1974 removing further human remains (but not all of them) 👀 W5557 is said to have hit trees, do you know where abouts on the moor ‘edges’ this would be please?
