That Skyward Sword Wii channel was used to fix a game-breaking bug that occured late in the game if you talked to a certain NPC. If you did, other events in the game would never trigger and you would unable to complete the game as a result. That's what that channel was for. It was essentially a 'patch' you had to download from the Wii Shop to fix it.
@@qqjonson1234 This was the Wii. It didn't update automatically like the PS3 or 360 did. @@qqjonson1234because the Wii isn’t capable holding game data. It plays the game straight off the disk. It never installs to the system at all. 12:23 fun fact: the wii + internet channel is legitimately just a video about how you can connect your wii console to the internet, and it only came installed on some wiis
Alright so, coming from someone who worked at a game store for over a year, when you test Wiis you NEED to use a gold disc. Super Smash Bros Brawl is the best example. Gold discs are always the hardest to read and I've come across MANY Wiis in my time that worked perfectly fine with mario kart or wii sports but just absolutely would NOT read a gold disc. Always test your disc drive with gold discs first. That also includes ps2s and backwards compatible ps3s that had to read like 4 different disc colors.
That gritty sand is indeed likely from the magic eraser. They really aren't all that magic; they're just really super-fine abrasive pads. If you use one on glossy paint (or molded surfaces) you can see the scratches and gunk it leaves behind. It can be washed off, but that finish will never look anything near new again.
So funny thing. I was fixing a Mario special edition Wii system that had a broken disc drive and when I took it apart, there was a DS game stuck inside of the disk drive. I took that out and it worked fine. That's the weirdest I've come by.
6:32 That sneeze was too funny, I know it's edited just to save the viewers from some colossal/not very pleasant sneeze or if it would of been too loud on the mic, but man that Wii must of had not just any ordinary dust in it but some kind of fairy dust in it or something to make the sneeze come out so petite like lol.

I remember buying a Wii console from Goodwill, and it turned out there was 3 disks crammed in the disk drive. The drive didn’t end up working, but still! 3 free games! lol
I once had a WiiU with Lego Batman 1 in the drive. Would have been a cool feature if the WiiU had been able to play that game, but the backwards compatibility didn't cover the Nintendo DS. Both game and console were fine once I removed the cart and plugged it into a DS.

That second one with just Super Metroid. I am willing to bet that whoever had that Wii bought it second hand (or was given to them). You are probably getting it third hand. Bubble Bobble was originally an arcade game that came out in 1986. I remember playing that in the arcade as a kid. Of course, there was an NES port, which you are seeing on the Wii. Either the guy with the poop message on the wii had to take a poop or he thought the Wii was garbage. Either way, perfect nominee to showoff for the 61 pound box of Wii's 🤔
In regards to the console that only had Super Metroid and no Miis, I can actually understand back in the day some people who might get a Wii just for the Virtual Console titles, though it does seem strange if that was the case that there would only be one single game downloaded.
I once found a copy of Lego Batman in a WiiU. Ok, yes, the WiiU was backwards compatible, but not to the DS. Console was fine otherwise and the game also worked once put into a DS.
@@headerahelix You're right, there were DS games on the Wii-U's eShop. It could play downloaded DS games, just not physical ones. There also was a Wii version of LEGO Batman, which would have been compatible. But the DS version sure wasn't, and somehow the fact that a disc slot is not a cartridge slot was lost on whoever put that in there

Bubble bobble is quite a well known game, one of the first to have multiple endings
Bubble Bobble was my jam back in the day
I wish there was a 3D remake of Bubble Bobble. I used to LOVE that game. It's a COZY game.
Let's go ahead, Let's go ahead, Let's go ahead, Let's go ahead, Let's go ahead, Let's go ahead, Let's NOT go ahead anymore.
Let's go ahead and start this up. It started. Let's go. Now let's go do something cool. That was neat. Let's go. Let's stop saying let's go. We stopped. Let's go.
i remember this dude when he used to put ps4/xbox one/whatever discs into other consoles or really anything with a disc drive... i still remember you putting that $1 bill into your xbox one and saying "maybe it will desposit into my xbox account and can use it in the store" lmai
That sneeze sounded like a blow off valve from a turbo. lol
man imagine if a person finds its old wii that its mom sold without deleting all its stuff in video like this, and it would be amazing if it gets to reaquire it again after all these years
I used to like the Forecast Channel. You could scroll all around the world and see the temp in most major cities, and if you were curious as to how cold it was on the South Pole, you could find that too.

Cool series, can't believe you've never played Bubble Bobble! My friend had it on the original NES back in the day, it's a classic we played it all the time, now I feel old! 😭

I seriously don't understand how Wii sports has increased in value considering the fact it came with every Wii.
6:32 What was that sound lol
Cool video. Only question I have is, how many times can you say "let's go!" In 1 video. It gets annoying after a while lol

My Wii that I have now was used, and the previous owners were…interesting to say the least. Basically everything had a certain slur as it’s name. Mii’s, the console itself. Along with a few messages on the message board with it.
Leaving the disc inside all the time ruins the disc grabber over time
zelda save update channel was to fix a bug that would softlock your game so that channel was released if you got the softlock and could fix the save, i dont remember where or what this softlock is.
You would think with all the wiis he tests he'd know that ones that aren't gamecube compatible have wii written on the front oriented for horizontal setup rather than vertical

Cant wait for the second half of Wii vid 🙏🏽
It's almost always a Nintendo console that has a game in the drive.
i think having disc wrong way was pretty common .
honestly dont even remember been right way
i think most people had their wii standing up so didn't pay much attention way went in .
least that's how remember it when wii was new
Hey hey why the fast uploads?
Wii speak is a mic that stays on top of the sensor bar. I remember using it with animal crossing i think
I've never seen a gamer not know what bubble bobble is lol
i absolutly hate when ppl say "LETS GOOOO" so annoying
The man of culture has Bubble Bobble such an awesome game with classic soundtrack. sad that you dont know it wtf thats really bad.
When you check the miis you should look inside the mii parade because thats where i always put the weird stuff i made
You can transfer you Mii characters from your Wii to your Wii U by storing some on the Wii remote and that's how you transfer them but it won't work if you're Wii or Wii U has the app to do this process deleted
crazy that not even a single of them was jailbreaked
I'm shocked he's never heard of the Skyward Sword Save Data Update thing

@@Sammy-34079 I enjoy both.
I would have watched your next 11 Wii ‘s episode but man…. I don’t think I can handle hearing “Let’s go” like 50 more times 🤦🏻
Clock date wrong is usually from playing Animal Crossing
