- Snow cone or Fresco is a staple every summer in our household. Growing up in Belize Strawberry, Pineapple and Bubblegum flavors from scratch.
Ingredients
1 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp extract of your choice
1 tsp. food coloring.

It’s the summer of 2022 and we’re in the middle of a bad heatwave in the West. So happy to have found this channel and instructional video so we can cool off with shave ice/snow cones and homemade syrup! ❤️❤️❤️
We're located in Southern California so I feel you on this heatwave.
I have the same machine lol! I did order my syrup the same time with the machine, as I wouldn't have time to make the syrup when the machine was delivered.

Hello. I want to know will the Watkins brand flavored extracts work the same way?
I think it will! I use the caramel extract when i make snow ice and it taste just like caramel ice slush.

Ive seen people put the flavoring in while the sugar is cooking and Ive also seen people put it in after it has cooked while it is cooling. Is there a difference?

why not just make a big batch of simple syrup (because that's what it is) and then flavor each jar? no need to add the flavoring while it's hot

An easy way all u need
Water
Suger
Bring it to a boil
Then adding
Lemon
OR
Lime
Then
Mix it
"Stir stir"
Then
Add dye (optional)
Then get some ice cubes
And crush them
Now what I do is I take the ice cubes and wrap them in something like a cloth or some plastic then hit it
With a hammer or rolling pin

Looks good and so nice and cold...We make Indonesian shaved ice like this, but we often put Sweetened condensed milk on it. Don't they do that in Belize? Since you all love that milk so much, haha. It makes everything better, don't you think? Also we use tropical flavered syrup like rose or pistache...and fruit cocktail from the can... Try it, it's really good!
We do condensed milk too, but I'm lactose intolerant so I skipped it in this video>
