1:15 in my opinion, Komaeda is the only character that fits both ENG and JP voice perfectly. The JP voice gives us a more intimidating, calming Komaeda (he sounds scary in a way) while the ENG shows his "insanity" and sarcasm. (he sounds more deranged). Both VA's did an amazing job.

A male character with a female voice actor is a sign of a protagonist, I think they wanted to make sure people didn't find out that Shuichi, not Kaede, was the protagonist. Unlike Naegi's voice actor, Shuichi's voice actor rarely plays boy roles (I know of no boy roles other than Shuichi), which has spurred the view that Shuichi is a girl.

I often prefer original voice acting over localisation but this is not one of those times, the English localisation team did such a good job and the voice actors all fit their roles perfectly
Okay as a Kokichi hater I DO have to give the writers props here. The contrast between nagito’s rebuttal showdown line being “no, that’s wrong.” In clear reference to Hajime’s line during non-stop debates is a REALLY COOL contrast to kokichi’s RB showdown line being “it’s my turn now.” Which contrasts Shuichi’s Scrum debate line.
The cool thing about Hajime JP voice is that he has the same voice that Conan of Detective Conan. Of the best detective in a Game about solving murders
The reference makes sense, but Conan is a literal kid most of the time and Hinata is at least 15 or 16. It doesn’t help that he’s the tallest protagonist either. I know guys can have higher pitched voices, but it just doesn’t seem to fit to me. And it could just depend on which version ppl saw first and got used to.

It's funny how the Cut-Ins of the Non-Stop Debates, etc, from the English Dub don't have a visual of the letter V but in the Japanese Dub, all the Cut-Ins have it (Except for the Mass Panic Debate where you play as Keebo)
That "V" should appear on the english dub, provided that the weak spot is hit, but its a nice detail that all of the jp v3 voicelines are with the V Counter animation.

the japanese va's are so underappreciated. minami takayama and megumi hayashibara absolutely bodied hinata and saihara and their acting overall is imo better than their english counterparts yet they're just kinda dismissed as being "too high." like, okay, preferences are preferences, but that doesn't change the fact that grant george sounds like he's in an infomercial half the time and while JYB is usually a very good voice actor i thought his hinata was kinda bland.

Japan loves their high-pitched teenage boys; around half of them are voiced by women.
Sometimes it works, but it just seems weird to have 15+ year olds voiced by women. Especially if they don’t pitch their voice lower.
