The statement that one 'cannot afford it' is not always a shutdown for many but instead their immediate financial truth. Maybe they have decided to not spend for a certain period of time due to their financial status at the time and this statement helps them to keep on track with their no-spending season until they have gotten back on track financially. I do agree about looking at other means and ways that one can fund something which does not cost them anything on their end or placing it in their budget in the future if it is something they really want to do.
Thanks for your comment. I hope this part of the video didn’t come across as dismissive of peoples situations. I understand that people may not have the financial means for certain things, myself included. However, I do stand by what I’ve said about avoiding solely using that phrase. “I can’t” holds so much weight and is limiting. “It’s not in my budget right now” would be a better way to rephrase it.

Thank you for sharing this video. It was right on time and speaking directly to me especially when you spoke on devaluing or downplaying compliments or accepting things from others. I guess because I am use to helping others that my mindset was like I didn't matter but deep down inside I wanted more. Plus growing up I was taught behave and don't be asking for things when visiting relatives that it has stuck with me and it's hard to receive but this video has helped me realize that it is okay to accept the compliments and offers😊

There’s a couple of people I know that seem satisfied in their unhappy lives, have settled in and given up on life. They seem to celebrate their misery. I don’t want to get sucked into their world and have been avoiding them. I want to have a happy life.

I am three minutes in and I have the most random comment, but when I was getting my psychology degree I learned that we have every single drug in our brain already but it’s the substance that activates it. I agree with so much of what you said. It makes me think of people that say "I can't afford that" without even looking at the price. Their mind has already been made up without any real knowledge. Maybe I can't afford it now, but what steps do I need to take so that I can. That is thinking in abundance.

Love this video, but I think it’s a little dangerous to only be around happy ppl all the time. I say this because as you grow and your friends have children, careers, & marriages, ppl go through a lot. I am a friend who they can come to if they are not “happy” I also maintain my own balance so it’s not all negative but your real friends won’t be positive and happy 24/7. Ppl go through things and to disregard them because they are having a hard time can be isolating and then you become a bad friend. You can’t only be there for ppl when they win. Being an all around friend is how you keep genuine friendships for a lifetime. Just wanted to add that 😊💕🙏🏽

I think the part of having a hard time receiving was a programming about if you do something for me, then I am obligated to do something for you. So, you feel like you don't want to owe anyone, anything. I just had a friend last say to me, I know you have a hard time asking for help, but I want to do something for you. I said OK :-))))))))))))))))) Its a process to get to a point where I feel comfortable asking for help for the simplest things. Example, I needed to changed battery in my smoke alarm, instead of asking my son or the maintenance person, I put a small step stool on top of a night stand. and did it myself, when I could of easy fell off and injured myself. The list goes on :-)))
Ultimately, the root remains God. Law of attraction, manifesting, etc. is actually nothing new. Faith in itself is about manifesting & attracting - “the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen” - so clear!!
I'm so moved emotionally when people leave law of attraction and begin their journey with Jesus Christ.
Just accept the compliment! No need to reply back w/another. In turn, what you’re doing is still not completely receiving the compliment by feeling like you need to give back. When you receive a surprise gift do you give a gift back in return? That’s what it’s like for your brain when receiving a compliment. But Typically you’re surprised when you receive a compliment. So just receive what was said with a smile and appreciate and of course, thank you! 😌 great video beautiful 🥰 thanks!
