Easiest way to make vanilla extract is just slice the vanilla pod down the center but not all the way through just enough to expose the seeds, and place in a glass jar with vodka. It takes about 4-6 months to extract and blend (I go the full 6 months). I make two at a time then use one for my go to and top it off from the other one as I use it up then top that bottle off with more vodka. No cooking needed.
I bought the Pacific brand vegetable broth from WinCo. I don't know how the price compares or if you have a WinCo near you. Have you tried Azure's date syrup? It's very delicious. It tastes like caramel.

1.6 grams of beans to pint of alchol for single fold vanilla extract. It takes like a year of hanging out, and will still smell somewhat alcholy when its done. You should taste it with some yogurt or whipped cream to see if it tastes OK. You can also use wood finishing blocks to mellow things out, but I've never tired that method. Pressure cooking alcohol even in sealed mason jars is considered unsafe by a lot of people due to the risk of alcohol vapor getting out and causing fires. Hip pressure cooking ha an article about it on their website.

Yes for sure! You can use coconut sugar in a 1:1 ratio for cane sugar in any recipe. Flavor is very similar in final product (better in my opinion) and does not cause harm to the body like cane sugar. Will not spike blood sugar or cause an inflammatory response in the body 👍
To make vanilla you need 1 ounce (by weight) of vanilla beans to 1 cup of alcohol. You can use vodka or bourbon. Make sure your vanilla beans are fresh as possible. They should be plump and pliable, not dry at all. Do not cut the beans. Be sure they are completely submerged in the alcohol, bend or tie if necessary to get to fit in your jar. Let them sit in a dark place for at least 6 months, shaking jar occasionally.
Hello. I'm from England and I've found a bulk place like azure. If you like spices and herbs there's a great company called starless botanical - a lot of their stuff is organic, for teas and other natural herbs mountain rose herbs are great. These are 2 company's that I've seen a ton of hauls on.
