You can tell why he’s called Glamourdale
Yep
Almost reminds me of Velagro and Charlotte Dejardin...beautiful.
@@sandralogue yeah

@sandralogue except they haven't kept up his standards, they've overworked him already and his movement now is half of what it was in that video, especially with his hind legs. There is little elevation as of recent competitions he has been in
what a beautiful horse, I adore black horses, they sure trained him good
@Equestrian I don't know anything about horses so- I didn't understand :U
I searched a bit- but I was referring more than anything to that little dance, a horse can learn it without being forced
@@alfysCave it’s called Dressage😑
And they trained him with rollkur and that is when they force the head to the neck to bow in an unnatural position
@@alfysCaveyes, every movement in dressage is passed on natural movements of the horse to some extent. So in theory most horses could learn that, BUT most of the horses in the high class showring were rushed through it with harsh treatments. And if the base isn't worked out properly the higher levels won't have a proper base -> so even more pressure is put on the horse to achieve the goal in other ways.
Dressage is like ballet: it should look easy and light, not like you use every willpower to move your bodyparts this flawless way.
Perfect song. He’s keeping to the beat. Absolutely gorgeous horse.
Was I the only one singing… ‘ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!!!!! 🪩💃’
Nope me to!
Same here
Nope…I wish the clip was longer….
I was singing it, and my barrel horse was looking at me like 'why would you want to bite dust??'
Nope 😊
Look at that beautiful dressage movement with the legs!! These two are absolutely incredible. Very beautiful horse and what a smooth gate with the leg movements. Very impressive young lady and well done!!
I've been trying to work on learing signs of abuse like being under the bit, rolkur, and body language, etc. and I've been using my unmounted lessons for that and it seems like the horse is pretty good, but I'd love some input :) maybe it's under the bit? I just like to learn so I'm not asking questions like this all of the time, haha😅 sorry for the big rant, lol❤
Are we not going to talk about out the rhythm of the horse's hooves hitting the ground was perfectly in sync with the beat of 'Another One Bites The Dust'??
Fr
The music is slowed or sped up to match a horses rhythm.
Would love to see this on Bareback, with only halter, Rider in tennis shoes, maybe a helmet, jeans n Tshirt!!! Theres my Challenge to these Horse folks!
No If you look it up the horse actually goes in rhythm with the song.
she is doing a freestyle where she chose this song to match the horses beat! its amazing isnt it?
I love how the horse is in beat. What a beautiful duo 💗
Watch the rider's feet. She has him on beat so delicately you have to notice.
Not natural for the horse and actually very painful
@@rachelrach1153no it’s not
Horsey hurt :C
@@StarliBright
No he's not. If he hurt he wouldn't move so smoothly.
The horse and rider go perfectly in sync with the music, I love it ❤️

The tail is PERFECTLY STILL!
THAT speaks volumes of how happy and in tune the rider and horse are!
WOW!!! ❤😮👍❤️
It does? I didn't know this!
@@viddeliten horses tend to swish their tail when unhappy/uncomfortable/irritated, and it’s an indication that something is wrong. Horses do swish their tail for flies too, so that’s not the only reason they swish. :)
you do know they use extensions don't you?
@@janetannerevans2320 and then the horse can't move the tail? I don't buy it

Charlotte as in velegros rider? Just curious :D
@@Johnnie.Sam.Colby22 nope! Diff Charlotte.

It’s Lottie Fry, not CD x
Isn’t it mind blowing how this majestic horse is in perfect harmony with the rider , they are as one …..he is translating her every ask, which she is doing with her legs heels seat and hands ……makes sign language rather small in comparison…..and I’ve listened to people say horses are dum …….THIS HORSE HAS MORE INTELLIGENCE and ability that most people ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yep!
YES. ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO PEA BRAINED LITTLE CHILDREN.... oh wait. Those are adults-thot they were kids, they were saying dressage is abuse.
Les chevaux ont plus de mémoire que de l'intelligence ils sont sublimes affectueux
@@ash750whi some people abuse there horses in dressage.did you see his chin some people make the horses chin almost touching the horses neck and the horse is in huge pain.

So beautiful. Great horse. Great training
You can tell how much she cares for him and how much they love one another. They totally melt together when they perform.
Nothing to do with love for each other. It’s all about talent and training.

The HORSE is being ABUSED!
Oh yes, this horse certainly does look like he's being abused. LoL what a ridiculous thing to say.@@christinajacobo9526
Yes, the beauty in animal and human trusting each other.
If she trusted him fully she wouldn't need a bit. But that's not really her fault I guess, since she is required to put the damn thing in her horse's mouth. 🙄
That has to be my favorite performance in Dressage and that's saying something, I'm nearly 60 and have seen so many Dressage competitions, I could never count them all.
I saw them at Olympia
It was beautiful so in time
Perfectly to the beat!

I watch that one all the time during my classes when we use computers
I ❤️these beautifully trained animals. So spectacular.
Amazing. How does he breathe?
I believe he doesn't breathe naturally at all. How long did it take to bend his neck like that? I'd like to see a picture of him as a foal.
Like normal, maybe a little different but I think it feels like if your in the middle of a sprint depending on how far in they are in the routine (Not sure so you might have to do your own research if you want to know)
What do u mean how does he breath? Lol
That's a beautiful sport.
What do you mean how does he breath? XD he breathes normally as any other horse.
Not to hate on you or anything but why is she riding that horse behind the vertical the poor horse looked so uncomfortable 😣
The horse is fine.
@@SequoiaDragonstone you keep telling yourself that. Or is this just a moment. Thankfully more and more people are calling it out for what it is, abuse. It's only a matter of time.
@@melissachatwin9673you can keep telling YOURSELF that, but know it will never be true to this rider. You are just one of those people who see a horse wearing horseshoes and go “ABUSE OMG YOU ARE SO ABUSIVE AAAHHH”💀 the horse is NOT behind the vertical
@@melissachatwin9673horses are literally specifically trained for this. This isn’t abuse
@@RandomVideos-re9ux training a horse does not make it any less abusive. Horses are "trained" for big lick too, is that not abusive also? It's rolkur, it looks "pretty" to those who don't know but it's abuse.
She is amazing
WOW!! Perfect rhythm!! Love this!
The dream?!?! Pulling on your horses face so hard its hyperflexating and has frothy spit all over its chest and face.
the foam at the mouth is because the horse's jaws are relaxed and "chewing" which makes split = froth. A dry mouth (no spit) = hard mouth from riding pulling on the mouth.
The flexing is due to the horses training, there is no force involved. To do these difficult movements, the horse curls their neck like this.
If you watch a stallion at liberty showing off, they that this exact position.
The point of dressage is train with the horse to do movements horses do naturally, but doing it with the rider. The horses are fit and do movements at the lightest of touches. Literally they respond to weight shifts and tiny finger movements.
@@betz6507 curious here. He would curl to this extent on a loose rein?
@@christielawrence4640 nope. This is rolkur, forced and unkind.
@@melissachatwin9673 thanks, that's what I figured, looks pretty awful.
@christielawrence4640 no absolutely not rolkur is when the bridle and head is touching the chest. Which is not in this case. Please inform yourself.
He is dancing to the music!!❤❤❤❤❤
There's no horseback riding as comfortable as on a gaited horse. I love it.
Not a gaited horse.
They stayed perfectly in tune ❤
I just realized the horse's bottom lip-
Head a little behind the vertical makes breathing difficult. I didn't think that was allowed in the dressage ring.
@@NancyTripp-os3of wdym you didn’t know, rollkur was the standard 15 years ago and we’re only slowly getting rid of it
@@NancyTripp-os3ofagree. This is sad to see as a norm. behind the 5th vertebrae, gorgeous. above it...tight, confined, sad to see. DO BETTER FEI DRESSAGE!

Do you know what a horse choking looks like? 😂
@@EmmieandQueen Just like that one.

@alishamiller2740 He is reined (commonly called a choke rein) so tightly that he is uncomfortable? You said it.
@@ellenchristinemunson2768 Ok I’m sorry I’ve got only ever heard it be called Rolker I thought you meant the horse was choking on it’s food or something
There is absolutely no reason for the weymouth to be this tight

It's not tight at all.
Thats one gorgeous horse 🤩
This is so wonderful to watch.
Utterly beautiful, both of them looking classy and sophisticated.
I feel bad for the horse. You can literally see that there is some white foam thing coming out of the horses mouth🤦♀️ stop abuse

OMG GLITS AND GALMOURDALE
Kick, kick, kick yank, yank, yank.
Ah you again
Please educate yourself before acting like you know sh*t about horses
@@The_Ivy_Trio No. I'm just one of many that put the horse above the rider, myself included.
@@peterk8909please educate yourself. She is NOT kicking in anyway, and also she has a little slack in the reins, so the horse is collecting it’s head on its own.
@@SequoiaDragonstonebro where do you see the slack 💀 I would be more understanding if she wasn’t using a double shank bit, but she is. There is no reason for it.
This left me wanting MORE! Bravo👏🏼
On beat so perfect
Her Knees are very tight in the Saddle and she pokes with her Spurs the whole time. At some point in time, as is with every horse, this will come back and bite her. It is simply the difference between DuJardin and Von Bredow-Werndel. A quiet harmonious seat.
Yes ,the long spurs are touching both sides to the rapid beat of the music. Spurs ,even rounded end ones still sting the any horses sensitive sides ,should be BANNED !
Yes, the horse is very very beautiful, but, her riding is not perfect. People who do not know about Horses and the Welfare of them, have no clue about the suttle Cruelty going on right in front of them, sad for these beautiful horses ,!.😢😮😢😊
While many spurs are abusive, all equipment can be abusive if used wrong. Rounded spurs do not hurt the horse, and are used as a light touch, not a hard poke that hurts. In dressage, riders use spurs as a different cue from leg pressure. Think of it like the spurs are just another “button” which cause a different motion in the horse. Her riding isn’t perfect, but it is still very good, and certainly on Olympic level. Lottie Fry and Glamourdale are an amazing partnership, and there is no cruelty in this video at all. The horse is perfectly on beat, well muscled, and capable.
And what horse told someone that they were not being hurt??? This is no different than Big Lick!
Yall are people that dont even know how spurs work. Spurs are made to roll this is why they spin. You dont gouge a horse you roll the spur up the belly. People with zero horse knowledge cant give horse knowledge just stupid comments!
@@pamhirschmann8246what horse told you they were being hurt? Goes both ways!
What a beautiful horse and performance, and I am not a horse lover
What stunning horse !!! Wow !
I just watched this 5 x in a row! Mesmerizing!
I’m not sharing this horse and rider pair are currently doing Roker, but I feel is a little bit of a joke to me because they let people do Roker, I’ve heard they actually get better scores if the horses over rounded I just think that’s really stupid and if you should really look out for the well-being of the horses
hum I think you meant rollkur? and this is not
@@harinu9339 you think the horse like that or can breathe effectively in that position. You so need to do some research
@@melissachatwin9673 Learn to read without extrapolating. I haven’t said « OMG this is so perfect absolute welfare goal », I’m just saying this is not rollkur. Straight facts. Rollkur is a specific training method. Hyperflexion is not automatically rollkur. This is hyperflexion, but not rollkur.
@@melissachatwin9673they can. Just because they might be slightly behind the vertical doesn’t mean they are in pain or being abuse
They aren't.

Absolutely Stunning
How many times have I watched this. So perfect and floating. I am still working on it.
Stunning horse, But Sorry not sorry...I feel sorry for that horse having its mouth being held back almost to its chest with tight reigns just for your pleasure!
Sorry you’re unwilling to educate yourself. The reins are not too tight and if you look closely at the horse you can see white foam in the corner of the horses mouth which means the horse is relaxed on the bit. Now go wallow in shame for not educating yourself before posting a inaccurate comment
@The_Ivy_Trio Maybe you should go and educate yourself more. White foam coming from a horses mouth does never mean that it is relaxed. White foam coming from a horses mouth means that it is being over worked, and stressed out. And having its head held neck I'm such a position stresses a horse out even more!!!
@@aleliashively1423if it was stressed out, it would be rearing and throwing the rider foward. This is NOT abuse and when they do that, they are playing with the bit, expecting it, or chewing on it. The horse I ride foams a little sometimes and I always have a pretty loose rain.
@@SequoiaDragonstone ANY horse that is trained in a duress manner against its will ...most certainly IS CRUELTY!!!!! ANY WAY YOU WANT TO LOOK AT IT!!! IT'S JUST "YOU" CHOOSE "NOT" TO SEE IT THAT WAY!!!
@@aleliashively1423 against their will? I’m sorry, but you need to really educate yourself in dressage. You are talking complete nonsense. I will say it again, this horse was NOT abused, is NOT abused, and NEVER WILL BE ABUSED. This women clearly takes great care of her horses, and clearly you don’t know anything about horses or horse behavior if you say that. It would be pinning its ears, trying to toss its head, rearing up, and even could stop and start to back up! You can definitely tell when a horse is in stress or pain. Please go do your research before commenting things like this.
Jabbing his sides with those spurs every step, look at that.
OMG! She barely taps..
She has incredible control of her legs, it’s really not the one rider you can blame about that lol
@@jeanviarengo231 Barely taps. You believe that is necessary, and the horse doesn't feel it? Watch Alicia Burton riding, with no tack. None. Look at her quiet leg, and compare. For the record, I used to be one of those dressage riders, until I learned to see from the horse's perspective. I made my living riding professionally. Now, I only ride and train my own horses. I ride and train my 1600 + pound Friesian mare in a halter, usually bareback.
