@@spacesmuggling Been listening since Stable Song, probably like 15 years ago or so.
So frustrated when people tell me there's no good music anymore and I show them artists like Gregory Alan Isakov and they say "yeah, but he's not mainstream".

Had the chance to talk to Gregory after he opened for the Lumineers in Paris in early 2022. It couldn't have been a nicer dude. Told him I came just to see him, he was genuinely touched. "We're small potatoes" he said. Glad to see that he's becoming a bigger one. Saw him again when he headlined in Paris a year ago and will see him again in London next week.

If only I had more money in the period I'd do the same... He's one of the few I can listen straight along every songs. A poet, an evocative artist. I can strongly perceive the intentions that vibrates of positivity and life. This last album live must be a love bomb. Maybe next time he'll be coming to Europe (possibly in Italy) ❤

Gregory, I'm sure you have heard this many times...but I am your biggest fan! I'm 54 years old, I live at the end of the road in Alaska and I just absolutely love your music. Second Chances is the most perfectly written song I have ever heard in my life. "Lonely is a ring on a cold coffee cup", "I'm waiting in the wings while the trees undress", "Cupping my ears to hear the wind confess" are some of the most beautiful lines ever written. I am absolutely in love with your music, brothers. You make me slow down and "listen" more in my life. You've changed my approach to playing guitar and you are definitely helping me becoming a better person. In turn I really hope you are a good human, I hope you don't have enough fingers or toes to count the ones you love and who love you back. Thank you, brothers, for helping keep this old spark lit. PLEASE COME TO ALASKA, brothers, I beg you!

    I keep stumbling back
    Ivory bone opera glass
    Angles of attack
You heard blood was thick, brothers and sisters
But ya don't know where anybody's at
Time was a bust, you thought you'd better be tough
    Nobody gets past
    The trembling wire
All eyes on you now, on you
    We're all holding our breath
All eyes on you now, on you
    We're still holding our breath
    We all break a little
    We all break a little
    We all break a little
We all break a little when we fall
And everybody keeps saying, "Get up, get up"
The fall, the fall, the fall
    "Go on, get up"

I recently saw Gregory Alan Isakov live without really expecting anything, knowing only 2-3 of his most popular songs. I was literary blown away; it was just pure music that soothes the soul from the beginning to the end. Thank you Gregory Alan Isakov and KEXP.

This is such a beautiful set. We've been home sick this week, and this has been one thing to comfort my one-year-old. He's hurting, but if we put this on, he relaxes and eventually rests. Loved Gregory Alan Isakov's music for many years, and this set is just one more reason.

Love Gregory Alan Isakov, love his band and love John Richards for the vibe in this session!! It is totally disarming to watch a host interact with such respect, stoke and enthusiasm that manages to be lowkey, on the wavelength of this chill and humble artist, not talking over him or being overwhelming or bombastic. Yet engaging and upbeat. It's a hard balance to strike for anyone working in radio and I have huge respect for hosts that nail it, so we as listeners can enjoy good music and artists can feel appreciated and comfortable.

My wife and I saw him in Tucson last night. We were absolutely astounded at the musicianship and the quality of the performance. We tried to stream a few songs on the drive home but it paled in comparison to what we just witnessed.

    Fifty-five mile signs
    Thunder crack and lightning
    While something else inside
Shines like the Fourth of July
I'll go it on my own, I'll go it on my own, go it on my own
Sand City bus kicking up dust
    Kicking up dust
    Before the sun comes up
    The devil sees us now
    Clear as the moon glows
    Sleeping in our winter clothes
    Radio's a crackling fire
I'll go it on my own, I'll go it on my own, go it on my own
Sand City bus kicking up dust
    Kicking up dust
    Before the sun comes up
