EDC has grown so much over the years and it’s so exciting to see. It use to be only survivalist and professionals like police, fireman, EMTs.. But now it’s has grown. Depending on your lifestyles, interest and overall goals for field work..
Your channel's been a huge help with my EDC and travel in general. Not to speak ill of other channels, as some have been helpful, but the consistency in which I find myself leaning towards your recommendations after reviewing specifications of gear is... Hm, worryingly high, haha. That said, I only fly internationally (EU to US) and so I do need to get the better gear out there for comfort's and sanity's sake. The battery pack is very excellent and has been thoroughly tested in the last few months. Huge fan, hasn't left my Bellroy sling (which I aim to replace with a Aer Sling 3 - love the look of it and better storage options it seems). The HeroClip genuinely hasn't left my sling nor backpack and I've handed a few out to my partner and family who also seem to like them. I even keep one handy in a little saddlebag on my bike, as it's proven its versatility/utility in a pinch and I've hung my bike up for minor repairs and maintenance using two of the bigger clips. I'm also eyeballing that stainless mug. Looks perfect in combination with my big waterbottle, which I don't always want to use when on a plane for 12 or so hours. Something smaller than a half gallon bottle will serve me really well. Love the lock on that thing, too! I can't speak for every item in this video but suffice to say, most videos you put out I'll have at least one thing of. Thank you for the wonderful work you do.
Velcro/hook & loop table ties are like gaffers' tape and parachute cord. Their versatility is limited mostly by the users' imagination. I have long charge cables, but when I need inches not feet Velcro ties keep them under control. A long tie also makes it easy to bundle several cords together, so everything is tidy in one place. They can also be used to attach cords to all sorts of objects. You can hook Velcro to fleece cloth making instant attachment points on clothing.
That Zojirushi keeps your drinks colder than almost any other mug. I've used this for years and given them away as gifts. Excellent for travel or EDC - good choice!
For earbuds if you're on Android or don't want white ones, the Sony wf-1000xm4 is a great alternative to the Apple product. The audio quality is everything you can expect from Sony, noise cancellation is excellent and the buds will fit comfortably in your ear thanks to the three sizes of padding offered. Plus they also got wireless charging.
Bought the Nitecore NB10k after watching one of your previous videos and it has not left my edc since. The Hero Clip disappointed me a little as it's not so great with glass-top tables, but I bring it anyway because the swivel feature makes it versatile. While the pouches for small items are nice, I've opted for clear zip lock pouches for visibility of the contents (I easily forget which pouch contains what item XD).
I got the Aer Day Sling 3 a couple months ago thanks to your videos, and I'm still loving it! I'm gonna get the Nitecore power bank thanks to you. Lightweight, flat, and just enough to charge my phone and my mom's phone are exactly the qualities I was looking for.
I just picked up an Aer Sling 3 about a month ago (in the X-Pac finish) on Pack Hacker's recommendation and I'm so happy with it! It fits all that I need, including my EDC camera (a Fuji XPro3 with an 18mm f2) and it's been such a great switch from my Tom Bihn Maker's bag...and my shoulder has been thanking me too!
My EDC include: Part 1: A pair of leather work gloves, cleaning rag, neck gaiter, compact umbrella, flashlight, bilingual tape measure (U.S. and metric), and one each bottle of water and Gatorade (12oz). Part 2: _Two days worth_ of my daily and emergency medication needs; a handful each of mints, Lifesavers, cough drops, and cereal bars; one bottle of Gatorade; Bluetooth ear buds; battery; and charger. Seasonal: Sun screen and repellant, for Summer, or gloves and beanie cap, for Winter. All of this goes with me, even if my destination is less than a mile away. Tips for overnight travel: take spare canvas totes, especially if you're going to a conference or convention. Hopefully there will be a vendor passing them out, but just in case, you will need something to haul all that swag! An extra foldable piece of luggage, such as a yachting bag, can come in handy, as well. (I travel by car or train.)
When travelling its a good idea not only to keep cash inside your sock but it may be a good idea to keep a decoy wallet/purse with you in case of being mugged. Just place old loyalty cards and a small denomination bank note inside so if you are robbed just drop the decoy and run.
Good stuff, thanks for sharing! I have the Tini2 since it entered the market and it became immediately my most used torch. Means I use it every single day, well, or better, night, not only during travels but also at home when I leave the house with the doggies or when there is one of the usual power shortages. As the shine is not so totally cold blue as with many other LED torches it helps also every once in a while to light up some foto/video shots, setting extra shining spots etc. There are two versions, one made from Titanium and the other with Aluminium body, and I highly recommend the Titanium version due to its undestructibility, even after hardcore use over long time you don't see a scratch on that torch. Makes also a good gift because that thing is simply essential for all travelers, dog walkers, and general night owls.
I have two young kids, so a boo-boo kit (little first aid kit) is an essential for bumps, cuts, and bruises that are inevitable. Fun fact: I have used my kit more on adults who have cut themselves than my kids.
Ok, potentially weird question: Do you have a link to the bottle brush used in the clip about the Zojirushi Stainless Mug (SM-KHE48)? I have yet to find one as nice as that one.
RovyVon Angel Eyes E5 is a great option too. You don't have the display of TINI 2 but you get more modes and it's bi-fuel - internal LiPo + AAA battery.
Mini v3 flashlight could be great for flashlight too, it has UV light handy for travels to check how clean hotel rooms are and checking bills authenticity as well. Having a glow in the dark body helps too in locating it in the dark. Rechargeable through type C charger.
I looked on the website and couldn’t find where it explicitly said it didn’t support MagSafe so I got hopeful about it. That sucks though. Thank you for your response.
I loved using the Aer Day 3 Sling through the airport with a backpack, but the strap edges are too rough for my liking when it rubs against my neck. I'm considering looking for a padding for it or even replacing the strap if I can figure out how to do it.
True, I have found wrapping the hook side inwards on Velcro minimized the lint magnet effect. If you can find true happiness with silicone more power to you.
I bought a set of memory foam AirPods tip replacements, cut them down to fit underneath the Apple ones & that did the job for me. The seal works good too.
The original AirPods stay in great in my ears. The AirPods Pro, no matter what combination of the little tips that came with them that I use, always fall out.
You guys should take a look at the Nitecore Carbo 10000. It’s basically exactly the same as the NB10000, however, it’s made out of a single sheet of carbon fiber which not only makes it stronger, but also addresses your complaint about the sharp edges.

I've had the Aer Day 3 (Max) for the past six month, can confirm it's an awesome sling. It's my goto EDC & travel sling now.

Come across this video randomly and I watched COPYMAXY . OMG your closet is every women’s dream! Love your voice and the way you talk

Got the Nitecore TIKI GITD myself, great little thing. Never leaves my key ring.

@@masmerio1069 if you twist the strap, yes the magnet releases. I'm just aware not to do so. When it's on, I haven't had an issue.
Thank you so much COPYMAXY for taking us shopping…my wish list just got longer
The Ghost Whale Pouch is incredible, I have like 6 of them in different colors and they're very useful for EDC
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙

Why so much better than any other cheaper pouch?
@@ohooper Build quality is very good, I also prefer the design of the Small Ghost Whale Pouch over other brands

You forgot the 500 lumen turbo mode on the nightcore light! That little flashlight is amazing, I’ve been buying them for family members.
Nitecore NB10000 is amazing. Everything by Nitecore is great 😊
Great list as always guys 🎉
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
I liked it, but it’s extremely expensive in Europe. 75€ is too much for a 10.000 powerbank.
check out the NB10000 Carbo - rounded corners and way more durable. but it ain’t cheap
Hey! We are actually testing the Carbo as we speak. Keep an eye out for a review on our second channel. 😎⚡️

Glad you guys finally discovered Zojirushi. It’s lighter and works far better than trendy Hydroflask.
You should make a packing list only using Decathlon products
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.

Have you tried out the Nite 20,000 power core? Seems a good option too, but dunno if it can fit correctly in a sling
You showed it twice, so I'm surprised you didn't include it: the InCharge multicable.
Is the redhead at the end still using the Auer 3?
Hi! Nice channel and great recommendations!. What’s the pouch that appear on 0:05? Thanks!
@MBarretoP Thanks for watching! This is the Aer Cable kit, you can watch our review here: ruclips.net/video/N7Yz2jSXB7k/видео.html
Hey, I know its not part of the video but I saw the Nintendo Switch at 4:25, and was interested in what kind of cover or case it is? :D
It's not a cover. They use a 3d printed switch for size demonstration, so that's just the material they printed the "switch" out of.
Really all very nice >>>>> thank you .
nice tip with the Velcro.. really could have used it on my trip this week
Thanks for watching! 😃

Is that Re:form card holder compatible with MagSafe? It looks like it’s shaped perfectly to fit on the back of a phone.
It's not!
I looked on the website and couldn’t find where it explicitly said it didn’t support MagSafe so I got hopeful about it. That sucks though. Thank you for your response.
You're welcome, James. We've tested it and unfortunately, it does not stick to the back of our iPhones.
