LOL! True. The rest of the kit it's blue for the sake of being blue. Just the knife and flashlight. I celebrate many colors as part of the color of prepping system.
Gotta wrap something around the lever on your Bic. I recommend using a ladies' hair band. It keeps your gas from coming out, makes you look like a rockstar for the women in your life who are constantly using/breaking hair bands, and you can use it for anything you might need a rubber band for (improvised phone stands, lashing, binding, holding your pants together, etc).
I love that this whole niche industry has evolved because guys don't want to carry a purse. Like, this was always what I just had in my purse and I learned from my mom. Yes, weapons were always included. I remember always being the 'Mom' friend because I always had extra gum/meds/first aid/snacks/lighter/sewing kit/mini tools, etc. etc.

This "industry" didn't evolve because guys don't want to carry a purse. Purses evolved because women don't want stuff in their pockets... if their clothing even has them, that is. 😂 Purses are a terrible way to cary stiff.
Haha! Yeah, guys are deep down jealous of women's purses. Lots of capabilities!
Exactly - lol. I lug a purse around and the men ask me for aspirin or whatever and my friends who refuse to carry a purse are always needing something out of my Mary Poppins bag.

Every few years I have to rotate my edc and to make adjustments to my environment. I’ve notice that carrying a backpack in stores makes me look like a thief automatically because of all the looters and thieves ransacking the stores. I’ve adjusted by wearing a sling bag but the people are still on alert when they see bags of any kind. I’ve always believe if your edc is not on you than it will eventually be taken or lost. You and everyone on YT sharing your edc items are a big asset to the edc communities, and I thank you for all the years of keeping me entertained and informed of new gears.
I feel ya. Had the police called on me at CVS just bc I had my sling bag with me while I was waiting for an hour to be seen at the 'minute' clinic. The cop actually seemed aggravated that the store called them bc I literally wasn't do anything wrong & definitely nothing illegal. All the pharmacists knew me by name & immediately started vouching for me bc I've shopped there for over a decade. But having my sling bag on me was enough to make the girl that worked the front call the law. I've sinced changed up my daily carry bc a different day, a different cop & that could've ended in completely different way.
TUP, you're a breath of fresh air. We left the pacific northwest due to the issues there. Glad you're one of the good ones who've stayed. May God bless you and your family!!

@TheUrbanPrepper Sweet! I think you'll really like it. Be careful, though, and make sure you get the newer "ultra fast"/rapid charge version. They made an older version that does NOT rapid charge, which makes it nearly useless (to me, at least). I accidentally bought the older one and was very disappointed in the slow charging, but once I got the newer rapid charge one I was 100% happy with it.

Love your color coding system. In addition to category colors, I use the electronics "resistor color-code".
You can identify any number by using 10 colors. This can be a fast way to label bins by priority, or rotation items by order or date.
I use electrical tape from Home Depot to make it quick and easy..
It is also a great way to discreetly label sensitive items/ containers, i.e.,
223 = Red Red Orange
9 = White
12= Brown Red

Great video. Just curious...Why don't you put fake cards in your burner wallet? You can find another place such as your mini pouches to put your extra cards which would be less inconvenient than getting them stolen and replaced.

Thanks! Fortunately, I haven't had to use the burner wallet in an actual emergency. Hopefully I never will need to.
I currently have a “pumpkin spice edc”
One thing I do in regard to those membership cards that you keep in your burner wallet is I take a picture of the card to keep in my phone’s camera roll. I’ve created a photo album named “IDs” just for these pictures of cards.
For cards where I need both the front & back, I combine both pictures into one picture by using an app that lets you combine photos together into a collage. I then delete the original two separate images.
In my IDs album, I also include my voter registration card, USCCA Card, health/car insurance cards, social security card, vehicle registration, and even some legal documents like guardianship papers from the court, etc.
This way I don’t have to carry these cards at all and keep the physical copies at home.
For 90% of the time, I only need my Drivers License, my Concealed Carry License, my main bank debit card, and my HSA debit card. I keep these in my GOVO Badge Holder/Wallet. My drivers license is in the front so I can show it without taking it out, and the other 3 cards are behind it.
THAT is my wallet. When I go into the office for work (versus working from home), I’ll swap out the 2 bank cards for my Employee Badge & door access card, putting the bank cards in my overflow wallet. I’ll put my Badge Holder on a retractable holder so I can swipe in a door at work and then just let go so it automatically retracts back to my belt.
My overflow wallet is a Ridge Wallet that I keep in either a pocket, or my sling bag or backpack. In this overflow wallet, I keep my employee badge & door access card, some bank cards that I use some, credit cards from Uber & DoorDash (for when I’m earning extra money), etc.
Most of the time, all I need is my 2 licenses (drivers & conceal carry) and 2 debit cards (main bank & HSA), so the GOVO works perfectly for that.
FANTASTIC TO HAVE YOU AND YOUR UPDATE IDEAS. REALLY MISS THEM. LOOKING FORWARD FOR MORE.

Ever. Just bad practice. Otherwise, as usual, very thoughtfully laid out.
Yeah, in downtown I move the burner wallet there. I'm also in the suburbs frequently, so I don't worry as much about the back pocket wallet then.

Excellent video. I used to carry a bunch of stuff but because I don't like to have anything in my back pockets, my front pockets were hefty and cluttered. Now my true EDC is just the basic wallet, keys, phone. I moved my flashlight and knife to my sling so they're no longer considered true EDC.

A brief thought on the burner wallet idea: while that idea is significantly novel and clever, I don't recommend using that in a situation like a mugging or a hold up. The robber might just take the wallet and run, but if they open it and see little or no money, all you'll do is anger them, and in a life or death situation, all you want is for them to leave; money doesn't matter. I traveled in some dangerous places before and I was doing something similar to your idea, but a fellow traveler advised me not to. He said "If they're not happy with their loot, they might just take your clothes, and you'll be walking home naked." Just some food for thought.

I'd suggest replacing your Leatherman with the Leatherman STYLE PS. You already carry a knife and it's nice to have something TSA won't take from you at the airport! (The STYLE PS has no knife, but scissors, pilers, etc). And the clip doubles as a FUNCTIONING bottle opener!

@@TheUrbanPrepper you should always store your wallet in your front pocket. I have always kept it in my front pocket ever since I started carrying a wallet. Not saying that you can't still be pickpocketed but it's a lot harder. Cause they have to reach around you. Just a safety tip.
