I bet a lot of people here would gladly do that for them or I'd honestly recommend them to setup a discord/reddit, vote or suggest ideas and get community feedback on concept and mechanics of the game and could even integrate tiers to suggesting ideas and let the community vote on them.

there actually is a movie that is filmed from first person perspective and has parkour in it. The movie is called Hardcore Henry, you should check it out
The original mirrors edge had a lot less fantastical set pieces for its gameplay, but I think it is the best material for these parkour experts to base their opinions off of. It has a design of not wanting to hold the hand of whoever was playing as hope so it would be interesting to see if they would have any particular feedback as to if the movement and dexision making would be their own or if there would be a different train of thought.
Catalyst parkour doesnt feel as weighty as the first one, it feels very floaty, the camerawork in the first one was fantastic and really made you feel every step you took and every fall in a very satisfying yet realistic way, Catalyst meanwhile feels like your floating when running
Tomasz guys i need help im having trouble which game to get Me or catalyst? Catalyst looks more pleasing and Me looks mors polished and smooth in terms of parkour but its very hard to notice (for me) help?

Have you played vector if so what do you think about the parkour moves in it are they realistic enough or what? I kinda want to hear a parkour experts say their opinion about vector BTW you can download it in phone Android or ios
@@gamerguy9282 so actually it’s pretty realistic all around. the way he moves is almost exactly the way you would do it but the moves in game aren’t the actual names maybe for copyright reasons and the fact that vector takes ridiculous falls and doesn’t bruise his heel or break his leg. For example the move called the “screwdriver” in the game is really just a 360 dive kong . Its realistic enough to the point that I was able to make a “vector in real life video” and it looked very similar to the game. Also for some moves he doesn’t have the best form but it would actually work the way it’s intended
@@santi_super_stunts2573 tbh i forgot the last at the world 1 where he gets out of the window following his friend and jumps from a high place yet no ankles broke and I was like this man got the ankles of steel
As a parkour athlete myself and having poured 100s of hours into Mirrors Edge, this was a pretty unfortunate showcase of the game. First of all, increase the FOV so you get more body movement in-camera view and increase the sense of depth perception and pace acceleration. Second of all, make sure all abilities are unlocked (roll, knee-up vault, etc). Parkour is about chaining moves, so display more of the potential for chain moves (there were a few in here but less than a handful). Show more mistakes, as that is something the game handles very well (stumbling, falling flat after two bad landings in sequence, falling to your death, etc). Show momentum carry (backwards roll, short and long swing, etc). Focus less on grappling hook, it's the least realistic ability in the game and has almost nothing to do with parkour (or simple physics for that matter). And in general you could simply focus a lot more on the common parkour moves that are well implemented in the game but never shown, instead of the same 5 moves/jumps over and over. In the end, what makes the game truly great is not just the moves, but the level of control you have over your character, and how you thread the balance between succeeding and failing, and point of failure is always on the player, which is a rarity. You never feel like mistakes were unwarranted or the difference between succeeding and failing is too blurred/up to wonky game physics more than player input. Hopefully the athletes in this video will have had the opportunity to try out the game for themselves to get a more realistic experience :)
Everyone: Talking about the person playing the game. Me: *Intensely staring at Sydney and realizing she was the parkour girl in that one episode of Cowchop.*
I feel like more consideration needs to be made with these gameplay decisions, it's really making everyone look bad: the guests barely have anything substantial to add onto, the developers look like their game lacks core mechanics, you guys seem like you don't listen to your audience, and we look unappreciative as hell with all these salty comments. None of those are true at all; you've gathered an awesome cast reacting to awesome games, and you've built an audience that absolutely loves the type of content that you're producing. Whoever's in charge of providing you footage needs to step it up, because they really make or break these videos.
Far cry doesn’t have parkour lol just a climb button on certain ledges. It is still fun when doing stealth outposts and u jump from one roof to another
You do get a lot of the feet, legs, arms and hands in view, it's just that the player for the clips was playing on a controller, so he wasn't that engaged with the camera. If you play with a mouse, you always move the camera where you're going and you get to see a lot of physical contact with the environment.
I've played this game a lot in the past. With the press of a button, timed right when you land, you roll, and take less falling stress, and outright negate it most of the time. Not rolling was, not good.
This is a good request! I'd say 3 would probably nail the realism a lot better (what with V's robot arm and the crazy shock decoys and such), but either one would be great!
I hate two things about this video: 1) the person who was playing and recording the video for parkour masters to watch. The player didn’t use even half of the abilities of the game, you can roll, you can use side bars to run the corner faster, you can do flips and so on. 2) that people who react usually don’t understand that the game may have more moves than they see. And questions like “why didn’t she roll here” are sounding dumb as the game has this option but the player didn’t chose it.
Most of their criticisms would have been solved by increasing the FOV so you'd see more of Faith's body as she is moving, and by getting someone who actually knows how to play the game, and how to roll especially. That combat part hurt me, just because I've played that level so many times and know to slide kick the first guy, wallrun then whip around the side using the pipe to air kick the other, then springboard off the table and kick the last guy through the glass. Really did the game a disservice in this video. Glad they liked what they saw though, and it's always good to see Mirror's Edge content. I love the series so much.

@@Kisara-ST I can see your points when it comes to animations and combat (those are subjective, I prefer Catalyst to the original) but you cannot deny like you have the beauty of Catalyst’s graphics, world, and art style. I can also appreciate the original’s art style and design (but objectively worse graphics due to it running on an older engine). Catalyst has its issues and I agree with some of them but you cannot call the original superior, they both have their respective audiences and strengths
imo Catalyst is better than the og in every aspect besides soundtrack and combat. Both the stories are kinda on par, okay at best. The gameplay is way more fun and smooth though. There’s just way more freedom in terms of movement and tricks you can pull off, plus more space to run. Going back to the og after playing Catalyst always gives me a claustrophobic feeling. Also the runner in the video made the game look like garbage with how they were playing.
Even without playing the game, they notice how smooth everything is and how you can't feel the impact of Faith's movements. It would be interesting to see them react to the original superior game.

@@chilliam00 it's like they filmed it once and said "good enough" and didn't bother to film better gameplay
A bit frustrating as I think the concept is amazing, just the lack of execution, I'd gladly hand them gameplay footage if it's that difficult to research the game and its mechanics.
I bet a lot of people here would gladly do that for them or I'd honestly recommend them to setup a discord/reddit, vote or suggest ideas and get community feedback on concept and mechanics of the game and could even integrate tiers to suggesting ideas and let the community vote on them.
with siege and payday 2 those people prob had 1000s of hours on the game but for other games like what?? these people haven’t played a video game before
“I like how she put her feet on the wall to stop the momentum” uh yeah or else she would get splattered 😂
We were asking for this for so long, and at last, Gamology has delivered. Thank you for listening to the viewers
there actually is a movie that is filmed from first person perspective and has parkour in it. The movie is called Hardcore Henry, you should check it out
Ah yes
Handcore Henry is amazingly fun
Me and my team while making a parkour game: *WE NEED HANDS*
I thought we'd see the original Mirror's Edge, but this is alright.
The gameplay could be better though. Like, not a single roll? Come on, now.
I love that you guys really listen to your viewers and bring what we want to see
The original mirrors edge had a lot less fantastical set pieces for its gameplay, but I think it is the best material for these parkour experts to base their opinions off of. It has a design of not wanting to hold the hand of whoever was playing as hope so it would be interesting to see if they would have any particular feedback as to if the movement and dexision making would be their own or if there would be a different train of thought.
Faith does land with both hands, the animation isn't fully visible at that FOV, she puts her second hand behind her for stability.
When one of the reactors give more info about how the game is than Gamology's gameplay, that's a sign to step up the gameplay game.
These two are so awesome!
You can go for a drink with the two of them and listen to their stories for hours.
*guy falls to his death*
Omar: maybe he’ll do a parkour roll
when im in a picking the worst footage challenge and my opponent is gamology
The ORIGINAL Mirror's Edge is so much better. And cmon, whoevers playing doesn't even do a roll.
I think first Mirror's Edge is more realistic
@@TomTom11112 I agree with you but I think you can't say Catalyst is bad. I mean that when you just want to be entertained it still is fun.
Catalyst parkour doesnt feel as weighty as the first one, it feels very floaty, the camerawork in the first one was fantastic and really made you feel every step you took and every fall in a very satisfying yet realistic way, Catalyst meanwhile feels like your floating when running
@@rascuvalentin Very true, not to mention you can do a 360 headspin like an owl while climbing a pole lmao
Tomasz guys i need help im having trouble which game to get Me or catalyst? Catalyst looks more pleasing and Me looks mors polished and smooth in terms of parkour but its very hard to notice (for me) help?
I know I'm late and stuff but there are skill trees in the game to get movement upgrades and the roll is in the skill tree
4:00 I was in a mirror maze once as a kid and saw the exit so i ran forwards and smashed my face into a mirror, it didn't break and i was fine but still...
The sense of scale in this game is insane
Next on Gamology: Orc reacts to Middle Earth Shadow of War
Loving Mirror's Edge series while having a terrible case of Acrophobia could be a cruel joke of life. And it is true for me.
Why tf did the player not roll?! I swear I was getting so worked up seeing that
You actually have to unlock it, you're only able to unlock it a short bit after that office building mission
Expert reacts always listening to the comments. Love that
JUST imagine for a second playing this game in VR i would have a heart attack
That would be insane! 😦
@@OmarZaki ohhh wow i just relized who this was
It would be awesome. So when it’s raining and I can’t train parkour outside I’ll go play it in vr
Look up STRIDE on steam, you will have your mind blown.
This channel already needs to be over 1 million!!
Being a Parkour Expert myself I can appreciate this
Have you played vector if so what do you think about the parkour moves in it are they realistic enough or what? I kinda want to hear a parkour experts say their opinion about vector BTW you can download it in phone Android or ios
Go and make some new parkour run in WD2😂. BTW I didn't know that you are doing parkour in real life.
@@santi_super_stunts2573 but tell how can the guy in vector can do some of the moves cause I want to be a parkour expert
I was just about to recommend this to you guys you beat me to get best content On RUclips this year
Mirrors edge is such a satisfying game to play. I thought I would hate it but I absolutely loved it
3:05 I know of a movie that’s similar to what your talking about. It’s called hardcore Henry albeit not in the future but it’s good.
Hardcore henry looks like a good movie, havent seen it tho
It's cool, not great, but a solid 7/10. Action is great
"And my friend broke a brick after being told to leave" that's exactly why people don't want you skateboarding or free running on their property
Everyone: Talking about the person playing the game.
Me: *Intensely staring at Sydney and realizing she was the parkour girl in that one episode of Cowchop.*
I love that you guys are talking about this game YEARS after it came out.
It's honestly the only thing lacking, but such an essential step to lack for the concept.
Drop kick is one of the best takedowns
You should do dishonored 2 or far cry 1, 2, 3, Next.
Far cry doesn’t have parkour lol just a climb button on certain ledges. It is still fun when doing stealth outposts and u jump from one roof to another
I would LOVE to see them react to the original! It has more realistic parkour imo
guess whoever is playing didn't unlock the roll
You do get a lot of the feet, legs, arms and hands in view, it's just that the player for the clips was playing on a controller, so he wasn't that engaged with the camera. If you play with a mouse, you always move the camera where you're going and you get to see a lot of physical contact with the environment.
you cant see it because the gameplay shown is at like 60 fov lol.
Finally! They did the thing!!! The one we've all been asking for
14:05 I mean.. he's not lying lmao
They gave good feedback on the gameplay, this couple is a keeper gameology.
I can do some skills like shoulder roll and wall jump
Nice
I've played this game a lot in the past. With the press of a button, timed right when you land, you roll, and take less falling stress, and outright negate it most of the time. Not rolling was, not good.
Finally! Gamology finally listened to us!
Yes and no, since they had an absolute trashcan doing the gameplay☠
So you asked for the pathetic gameplay ?
The place is called glass city thats why theres so much glass
Then Dying Light... now Mirror Edge...
WERE TF ARE ROLLINGS!!!???
I'm actually playing mirror's edge catalyst right now
This is all well and good buckaroo, but WHERE IS SPEC OPS REACT TO METAL GEAR SOLID V AND OR POSSIBLY 3?!???!??!!?!
This is a good request! I'd say 3 would probably nail the realism a lot better (what with V's robot arm and the crazy shock decoys and such), but either one would be great!
3 or 4 are closer to realism. In 5 there is not that many tactics and military action to appreciate
I watched this last night, I'm back now, these guys are the best loved ultimate tag
They didn’t see the Mirrors edge catalyst roll after landing a jump
one of the reasons why most first person games dont allow third person is to keep the characters identity more secret
The girl is so damn gorgeous
I hate two things about this video:
1) the person who was playing and recording the video for parkour masters to watch.
Petition for Gameology to find clips that show the game's mechanics AND be good at showing them
Most of their criticisms would have been solved by increasing the FOV so you'd see more of Faith's body as she is moving, and by getting someone who actually knows how to play the game, and how to roll especially.
Oh thank fuck! I haven't had a chance to play it yet and... I was fairly disappointed by the gameplay. You reassured me.
Just like from the last vid, knowing there is the ability to do a roll after a high jump, but the player doesn’t do it.
This was just cool and both of them are cool as hell.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst is pretty awesome.
I lIkE ThAt ThEy ShOw ThE FeEt.
I suspect he is a foot man. I see he is a man of culture as well.
i wasn’t expecting to see my city’s park on this video at 5:08 , this park is called “Jardin de La Fontaine” located at Nîmes/France just in case someone wanted to know the location :)
Decent
Seriously? Everyone asked for the superior original Mirror's Edge, the one with GOOD animations and gameplay.
Catalyst is superior to the original in everything except story and nostalgia.
@@lobaandrade7172 You're joking, right? The animations are ridiculously bad, the combat is even worse than the first one, and the graphics are way uglier than the first one who's still holding up pretty well in that regard (but that, I can somewhat forgive them, since it's an open world, compared to the first one).
ME1 animations are only good modded lmao
Faith rolls along her SPINE in that game. HER SPINE.
imo Catalyst is better than the og in every aspect besides soundtrack and combat.
OMG THE GEAK AND SPITFIRE AYYYY I WATCH WORLD CHASE TAG ALL THE TIME I LOVE HOW GOOD U BOTH ARE
I dont get why gamology fails so many times to show proper gameplay of games , I mean come ON!!!!!
I was just searching for this video yesterday. Love timing.
Parkour reacts to hardcore Henry the movie it’s basically a 1st person parkour
I really love seeing these two, keep em coming
An assassins reacts to: assassins creed..
as a climber, the rock climbing shout out is appreciated. always love chillin with parkour ppl when they come into the gym.
“Parkor”
🤣
Even without playing the game, they notice how smooth everything is and how you can't feel the impact of Faith's movements. It would be interesting to see them react to the original superior game.
