Exactly the video I’m looking for. Thank you. Just over 4 months out and looking for some simple exercises I can do at the office. TNR is a lot more of an ordeal/slower healing process than I ever imagined.
@@Paulg13456 when I was working with my therapist a couple months ago I said I used to jump 12’ in the air now I’m hobbling around like an old man?? She said well you’re starting to get old and they chopped your leg off in 2 places and inserted your new knee. It takes time you have to be patient. Easier said than done at least for me.
I used to be a personal trainer and did lots of corrective exercises and love these exercises, I just had full knee replacement and using these exercises. Thank you!
I am living in the UK. I am 76 years old and I have a long history of leg and knee problems first starting since I busted my right knee ACL in 1969 whilst playing football. Had some ACL surgeries in 1978 and then again in i992. Also broke my right lower leg Fib and Tib in a motorcycle accident in 1972. AS if that wasn't enough, I twisted my left knee in a gardening accident and had to have half of that knees cartilage removed. Well coming up to date, I had a TKR on my right leg four and half weeks ago, very painful for the first 3 weeks but now I am off of the painkillers. I am doing the exercise sheet that the hospital gave me plus trying some of the exercises on RUclips. I saw this video and just tried it, yes quite good, I managed to do all of the exercises ok and I found the exercise at 8.40 very good indeed. Thanks for posting this video and I shall use it often, best wishes from me in the UK.
Wow I really enjoyed this exercise. It is unlike the knee exercise I do now in PT. I need to do exercises thru out the day sporadically which I know is wrong not just in PT. 2 months coming up. Thx Dr😎🌴🙏
I am up in Canada, 11 weeks since my TKR and still have such major pain & swelling. Here physio doesn’t begin for 6 wks. which I think is a huge setback. I am going to start your videos, and hopefully this will help as I am so tired of being in such terrible pain. I have only been getting 1-2 hours sleep per night since the surgery due to pain & I am exhausted.

@dr.samanthasmith I am 6 weeks PO TKR and want to try these exercises- but thought we are not to cross our legs/bend rotate sideways? (Opposite arm to opposite leg figure 4). I would love to be able to start bending to the side if it is permitted at this stage
Whenever I do stretches, ride the bike (5mins) or exercise; my knee swells, gets stiff and so tight. Is this normal? And thanks for your course information. Nita
9:37 am Hi Samantha i have had tkr revision surgery almost 6 mths ago. My knee feels like its stinging aching and im so disappointed i thought id feel better by now. I cant even go for a short walk.
