Not sure if this has been brought up before, or if you've already explained it. But I can't help but notice you guys have recently been censoring random phrases or words aside from profanity. Is it just another way of editing to avoid copyright strikes, or is there another reason?

@ReelRejects Look I don’t hate the bay turtles and I get their “mutant” buuut their also “teenage” and “ninja” turtles I feel like the original movie did them perfect while they are human size, u could believe they were teens and ninjas at that, unfortunately the bay ones there really isn’t anything ninja about them not to mention I feel they are little over designed
@@TheSsjJoker I mean you can sorta say that to be the same in the case of the Rise of the TMNT movie which I'm hoping they check out that one as well but here it's more with them being family and all that and their overall designs in this one is not to overly exaggerated as the first movie when I now seeing the comparisons to each other but they still freakishly adult size to be honest.
Overall I don't really hate this movie as many some people pointed out like as they mentioned the visuals look decent enough and some action scenes were entertaining to watch however some cast choices are a bit bogling and the dialouge are a hit & miss. I stlll enjoy it for it's own continuity like all the other turtles movie before & after.
They did shredder kinda dirty in that movie but his suit and helmet was pretty cool
I didn't hate the first one, but I was really pleasantly surprised when I saw this one for the first time. It still has problems, but I never thought we'd see Kraang, Bebop and Rocksteady in a theatrically released film ever. That was awesome.
Ok you said you didn’t hate them but really these movies where made in 2014 and 2016 they very old like 8 and 6 years ago plus I don’t remember and movie that was cartoon then a movie like realistic since this movie
This movie sucked. The entire runtime was basically what happens when you put as much fan service into a movie as possible while investing minimal effort into the script.

I do find it funny how everyone always thinks Stephen Amell is putting on a high pitch voice in his non-arrow work, but it’s actually just how he sounds normally, even in interviews. Goes to show how good he was as Oliver that everyone assumes the gritty voice is his natural pitch.
Yeah, goes to show how good he was in that. Honestly, if he got to play Queen again that’s a lot more comic accurate, I can see him just using his regular voice, I think it’s be as good as he did with the gritty version.

A pretty good follow up to the first, and even better, in my opinion. Bebop and Rocksteady were a lot of fun and the Kraang are one of my favorite villain factions.

I think this one is very inspired by the 2012 animated series, that's why they're using more of the weird characters, but I think it's also the reason why Casey's dialogue is cringe a lot of the time. The young arrogant guy dialogue worked in the series because Casey was just a teenager, but it's weird hearing lines like that from a grown-ass man, specially one played by someone usually associated with a brooding character like CW Green Arrow.
Also it’s mixing with the original show with how the krang and bebop and rocksteady look
I really enjoyed the sequel more than the first one with all the call backs including Vanilla ice go ninja go to Bebop and Rockstudy to crang to the Turtles theme song. Such an improvement from the first one and to have Arrow playing Kasey Jones was a good choice as well and Tyler Perry playing Baxter Stockman was cool too. Awesome reaction fellas

If Casey is going at it unofficially, he can't just use the guns he owns as a cop. He would land in a lot of trouble using those. It's better for no one to know he was involved.

I just realized that when you think about it, this is basically the plot of transformers rise of the beasts😂😂😂😂😂😂 the main characters trying to prevent the villain from building a telportation device that's broken up into pieces. At the last minute, they're able to reverse the teleportation sequence 😂😂😂😂😂

There was a third film planned but it was cancelled due to this film underperforming at the box office which shocked the studio as even they were surprised by how poorly it did
I don’t hate the first one from 2014, it happens to be my personal favorite TMNT movie, but I am a big defender of this one too. I do like the first one better, but this one is still pretty entertaining too. There’s a few things I’m not a big fan of in Out of The Shadows like Tyler Perry’s performance and Stephen Amell’s performance. That’s really the only two problems I have with this movie. I’m glad to see that you guys enjoyed this one. I wish that you would’ve given the 2014 one a little more of a chance, but to each their own. I wish we would’ve gotten a follow up to this movie, but the chances of a part three seem slim to none. Especially with the release of Mutant Mayhem. These two movies are incredibly underrated. They receive entirely too much hate and far too little love.
I don't care what people say about tmnt out of the shadows, I thought it was alot of fun! Bebop and Rocksteady were spot-on and fun goofball villians, Casey Jones was a good addition and I liked his fight scenes and how he used his hockey stick, the action sequences are super cool and enjoyable (especially the plane scene) and (again, despite what alot of people said) I thought they nailed the turtles balance between heroic and goofball teenagers. Especially Mickey! He is just so gosh-darn adorable!
This sequel was awesome!!!! I wished that they continued these movies.
Even if they were all a bit underwhelming, that they did Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang is just awesome. Shame though that in the trailer for the movie Krang had his actual bald head look, but not in the final film. After all the other silly stuff, why did that feel too far for them to include?
In the last movie at the end, Shredder falls on the ooze and its implied that it made him younger and healed his facial wounds
I grew up with the cartoon and the 90s film. I actually enjoyed these ones, i cant put my finger on it but it just made me happy and I liked the turtles personality in these as well, the original will always be the best to me, my brother who passed away was a huge Turtle fan and its my way of smiling in hard times thinking about him
You guys should definitely watch the 2007 animated TMNT movie
Elias Koteas’ performance of Jones will always be the standard. Amell’s performance was just weird.
I just watched this myself yesterday. Many people didn’t like it but I really enjoyed. I was born in 85 and all of these villains were the toys I played with. I even had the turtle van! Probably nostalgia but I loved seeing Casey Jones as well.
You should definitely watch tmnt 2007 that movie was great! And underrated. And they really got the essence of each character in the movie

I honestly preferred the way Casey was introduced in the OG version. This one seemed counterproductive. He's a cop buy he barely shows that, ion know, they could've made him a semi pro Hockey player or something 😂

Your reaction is exactly mine when i saw this years ago - So underrated!! Amazing chemistry with main characters (I even teared up at the turtles being targeted by cops instead of credited for helping).. and really effective action sequences

It was made with a budget of $135mil. it made $245mil. almost double the budget, no idea how that is classed as a "bomb" sadly but they do..
3:22 Michael Bay's "Teenage mutant ninja turtles" is the only franchise I know about that was soft-rebooted with the second movie. It's also one of the few soft reboots that was actually useful.
Alan Richardson said this was the worst experience of his life as a actor they promised they would do press as the actors of the turtles and it never happened

To be fair, if Casey is doing vigilante stuff, using his cop gun would lead back to him via ballistics. Makes sense he would use his own gear and stuff to fight.

I was at the NYC premiere of TMNT: Out of the Shadows in 2016. I saw the movie at the Theater in Madison Square Garden. Before the movie started, Vanilla Ice showed up on stage to perform Go Ninja Go Ninja Go! I saw stars Stephen Amell and Sheamus there. Megan Fox wasn’t at the premiere. She was pregnant during that time. Maybe she couldn’t travel on a plane from LA to New York. I had a fun time at the premiere and I also enjoyed the movie.
This movie is incredibly flawed, but I will admit that it certainly felt more like the classic 90's Ninja Turtles' goofy, crazy adventures. Bebop, Rocksteady and even Kraang were especially fun and probably my favourite part about the movie.
Steven Emill as Casey Jones however is just extremely disappointing and a total miscast if Ive ever seen one

The action scenes in the first movie was 10 times better than this one.
While not at all believable as teenage raph I still think Alan Ritchson would be a great older raph like something to the extent of last ronin raph.
I have watched the first one with my cousin and I loved it, I watched the second one yesterday on Netflix and I loved it even more than the first one.

I won’t lie but I enjoy this movie like how look like really like in this movie this movie is well done I like the First one and the second one too. And I really liked it so much my childhood days.
In Arrow, they made a reference to Stephen Amell playing Casey Jones. One of his teammates wears a hockey mask and he says it’s cool.
I think what makes this movie better is it has a more consistent tone and the turtles are more like the turtles.
I like how Shredders helmet is like the 1990 Shredder helmet unlike the 2014 where he was a literal robot samurai the suit is ok but the helmet just doesn’t fit like this helmet fits well with his samurai armor
I love how bebop and rocksteady in every single iteration of tmnt have this weird "roommate/honorary brothers/friends/idiots who just keep crossing paths/possibly gay" relationship
The movie as a whole is great . biggest gripe is Casey in this movie

Personally I’m here for any commentary the reel rejects have on movies, whether they don’t like a movie or do, I enjoy listening to their take on movies and it’s always fun watching a reaction, I don’t always agree on everything but for the most part I do, but I still always respect their opinion, they weren’t the biggest fans of the first one but as Greg says “It’s fine” And it is, big fan of the reel rejects!! And always down for a reject reaction!!
"I wonder if they start out as people all the time?" Yes and no; mutants who start out as humans ARE certainly well known, but they're far less common than mutated animals like the turtles and, generally, Splinter. Mutant animals have a much larger presence in the franchise, and generally seem to be a bit more stable (barring things like IDW Slash, who needed additional treatment to stabilize), while Bebop and Rocksteady are basically the best case scenario for mutated humans. Personally I don't like how there's no particular reason for them to become a rhino and boar-man when they could have had a rhino horn and boar tusk on their persons before hand, but mutation in TMNT generally runs on Irony Themes anyway.

Love how everyone seems to think stephens voice is naturally gritty and deeper when in reality his voice in this movie is more his normal voice. Ppl need to stop associating actors with one character theyve played. Thats why so many actors get type casted and their careers go nowhere
