I can't see Stephen Amell without thinking 'Arrow'.

The dude was Arrow. He made the stunts, most of his fights and made his character actually very interesting for 2-3 seasons.
I liked the Wild Dog/Casey Jones Easter Egg in the episode where he said he thought the hockey mask idea was cool
He and his cousin Robbie actually played non-relatives in the Code 8 movies.
Fun fact - Raphael is played by Alan Ritchson (Jack Reacher). Though he didn’t really enjoy making these movies, he was perfectly cast.
I remember his collider interview, he went off on the producers. Rightfully so.

Bebop and Rocksteady started off as humans in the 1987 series as well. They were the human goons the turtles fought in the first episode. They were then mutated by Shredder in the second.

I've been a Fan of these Turtles ever since the Original 80's Animated Series, and THIS Movie is the closest they have ever come to recapturing those Glory days!💚It's so EPIC to see Beebop, Rocksteady, Krang and the Technodrone ALL come to Life🤩and for the Icing on My Cake🥰Stephen Amell (the CW's "Green Arrow") as Casey Jones!👍It just doesn't get any Better than this...

Tyler Perry really Tyler Perryed this movie. If they cast any other actor as the scientist this movie would have been at least half as bad as it was.

The only disappointment I have about the sequel, is we only see rocksteady transform not Bebop. That and Casey Jones only wears a hockey mask "once" through the entire movie.
these live action movies are ok, but the tv show from the 80s and the live action movies from the 90s will always be my faves
Correction: One 90s movie. Plus after hearing about how the Turtles actors were basically treated like trash on the set from Alan Ritchson's interviews...I pretty much loss respect for these movies.
The animated series and the movies from back in the day are my favorites as well. But I don't have any complaints about these either.
Same. I enjoy the attention to detail with the different things they added in from the cartoon, but these just don’t have the charm that the 90s movie did. You got to spend a little bit more time getting to know their personalities in that movie compared to these. You get glimpses of that in these movies, which is some of the most fun parts, but they are just a little too focused on bombastic action.
I enjoyed this movie. Had a lot of great Easter Eggs and even some feels

I was surprised you skipped that one after watching the original 1990 version!!! I think you both would enjoy that one too. Ernie Reyes Jr is in it and its more practical effects and actual fight scenes and not just cgi!!!

This movie they pulled from the cartoon series and brought it to real life. 1:32 “Kevin” is actually the creator Kevin Eastman. 7:26 it’s interesting how quickly she lost her black leggings. 14:07 I thought she said “the hunky” guy. 15:27 if you guys saw “The Secret of the Ooze” this ties back to it in a way. 20:09 jealous Mikey. I like how he continues making Casey out to not be a good guy for April. 33:51 there’s always a few people out there that would buy it. Of course not sure if they’re the kind of people you want to attract.
One thing I do not think you picked up on...The Casey Jones character is played by Stephen Amell who played Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in the TV Show Arrow for 8 Seasons on CW. I believe he filmed this between seasons 3 and 4.
If you have not watched the CW Arrowverse shows...I highly recommend them. I'd love to see you react to them as well.
Okay first thing first. Did y'all have a sleepover or something especially with the matching shirts definitely makes it look like y'all had a girl's night but y'all look cute in your matching shirts. I also enjoyed your reaction to this one definitely one of my favorites especially with the introduction of Bebop and Rockstudy in their first live action movie and with the addition of Stephen Amell and Krang from the cartoon series along with Tyler Perry playing Baxter Stockman. I absolutely love krang so much growing up as a kid.
For me, this felt like an underrated TMNT movie. I like how they introduced a bunch of other characters from the 1987 cartoon. Like, Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady and Krang. It kinda feels like a modern live action version of the cartoon that I’m on board for. Or at the very least that’s my opinion.

If I remember correctly, the turtles are transformed into humans at one point in the original cartoon- assuming I’m not mistaking them for the Frogs or Toads.
They also did it a few years ago, but what Donnie did was create a deivce to mirage them to the outside world to be seen as humans, even though they were still turtles and looked like turltes they look humans to everyone else.
I love seeing Stephen Amell (Casey Jones) on a big screen, he's the one playing Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow) in the CW Tv show called Arrow

I was curious as to how they filmed these movies so I watched the motion capture behind the scenes of the turtles and I was surprised to see the actor of Mikey is Mickey in shameless. Don’t know if you’ve seen shameless but I definitely recommend it :)
the old movies, at least the first 2 are great. the first one is super underrated. if you like the live action stunts in the cgi ones youll be impressed by the originals.

I wish they would come out with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie where they are human and they can mutate into turtles and mutate back into humans. That would be a cool approach to the epic saga that is Turtle Power.
There is not enough time left in the world to explain to you why thats a bad idea.. The whole story is that they are mutant turtles living in a world that wont accept them. Splinter taught them Karate to over come the depression they had from not being normal. Go back and watch the original one as an adult and you will see it dealt with some painfull adult situations.
Not sure if you remember Baxter Stockman from the cartoon, but he got turned into a human-sized fly insect which I was hoping would happen in this movie but it didn't. I think they were saving it for a sequel. maybe?
I really wish they would have made more practical effects, especially the Turtles themselves and could have been like suits with more CGI enhanced features, like they did Deadpool. Its probably because I grew up Turtles made by Jim Henson... Except for third film but anyway. Still decent film with its predecessor just nothing exceptional. Can't beat 90's Turtles films... maybe third one... but still. Its still fun to get new Turtles films, its nice nostalgia trip for my childhood.

Took me half the reaction to place her but Casey Jones cop friend is a leading role in Ozark, a show by it's own methods is the next best thing to Breaking Bad. Not the same but not too different either. I liked it.

These movies are great at including iconography from the 90s cartoon, and they are never short of pretty cool action scenes. I still just do not like the design of the turtles faces/heads. Have they made them look a bit more like the cartoon or comics, and had a little bit more character work, it would’ve been so much better. I think they just try to jam too much familiar stuff into it and didn’t have a whole lot of time for them all to develop much.
I dunno, you can't really blame Kristen. I mean Raph's Jack Reacher in real life, so ...
