I really enjoy seeing what you've been accomplishing and I love the tidy front of the house - so nice to come home to a welcoming front door! You just work steadily and get it done, which is what I've found works well as I've aged; we're in our mid-70's now so can't do as much as we once could - nor as fast, so slow and steady wins the race! We bought our current house 3 years ago after 33 years on a large wooded property in another state and have spent the last 2 years remodeling and adding on to our house. We've had a great contractor and crew to do all the big stuff and to show us how to do smaller, easier projects. We've learned new skills, worked hard, and know the wonderful satisfaction of completed projects! Your white board updates are great and I look forward to seeing your progress on the grounds, pergola, inside of house, etc. Thanks for showing us all that we can do more than we once thought we could! - Kay, aka to our FB friends as the Renaissance Woman, from Indiana, USA
Love watching your world. Your front is certainly really nice now. I get it that you need the chaos to get things done. I have just moved into my forever home (at 71) and finally, yesterday, managed to cut right back all the overgrown vegetation. Now to clear the mess with a mulcher. Just step by step is all you can do. Well done with your progress.
I think the liming at front of house looks amazing, and looking forward to pergola foundation! The cabin is looking cuter and cuter. Fingers crossed for the window.
Hey Kirsty! The front of your house is looking soooo good! It must be nice to have the rain and see the green around your property. Your list of things accomplished every month has been really long. I'm glad that you're taking a bit of a rest with your friends and enjoying the holidays. On other channels I've been hearing how much time it takes to produce videos every week for our entertainment. I really appreciate the time you take. As far as the movement at Sinead's, it's nice to hire people to do some work to help out. Having people who do these things as a living makes fast work of it all. (except when Woody goes missing!) It's good that you're there for her as well. Your skill set, although hard won, is going to help in the future. I'm looking forward to seeing the interior of your place rendered the way you like it. I'm sure that will give you a sense of accomplishment. I hope you have a great week and I'm looking forward to seeing the front garden develop too. It's getting closer to Christmas!! Take care, Angela
I don't think I said that the front of the house looks great with the pointing but it does! The pergola will be another nice touch. Lots of work getting done but some good fun is also being had!!
Love these recaps they are so positive and uplifting 😊 Sineads land or yours it's all work and actually I enjoy seeing friends helping each other, it is what friendship is all about 😊 Yay on window progress will keep fingers and toes crossed for you that you have a lovely window for Christmas 😁😁 See you next video 😊
Many people have these whiteboards that are split into two sections. The first part is personal, which could include food, calories, and working out - in short, calorie deficits. The second part focuses on professional goals!

Kirsty the front of your house looks beautiful!!!!!!!! The Polly tunnel is very clean, wonderful Kirsty !!!! Kirsty so ... ...pleased your window will be arriving soon . Wonderful with the progress at your friend's property. The pergola will be fabulous, for the front of your house, I am really looking forward to watching you build it. Kirsty did you complete your shower build?
Your home is looking fab especially with the blue door! It will be exciting to see the beginnings of a pergola later this month. I am in Ontario, Canada and we have been hit with cazy squalls this week and have a tad too much snow. Take care!
These videos are exciting to watch and the pointing is top class. Great to see such fast progress on Sineads place and just à thought Kirsty could the digger man set your stones for your Storage workshop which would take the enormous strain off lifting these monsters. Tis joyful to watch women help each other and looking forward to Satcha joining in when yee tackle forest
Hi, I'm glad you're enjoying the progress! I could have... maybe. 'm using smaller stones and the red of my land where the shed will be isn't really accessible from my own land, it would have to be on the neighbour's and the treads really rip things up. I might use a digger in the future for a stone wall, but my shed's stem wall isn't going to be too big so I'm hoping I can handle it whenever the time comes to push on. 🙂
Have you considered getting a chainsaw file and sharpening the chain yourself? I learned this year when I was chopping up a lot of firewood. It doesn't take long to learn how and then you can just sharpen as you go. It's more convenient and much safer to have a properly sharp chain at all times.
I actually have the file, just not the knowledge and experience. It costs €2.50 and takes a few minutes at the shop though, so I'm not in a rush to figure it out but I will one day. 🙂
I love your channel but for those of us who watch every episode, I find a whole episode of the recap a teeny bit tedious, we just watched the whole thing. Just a humble opinion. It will be so wonderful to have the view from the window.
I can't wait for the window... so close now! I do these update videos as an extra so you still get all the usual videos, so there's no harm in just skipping past. These videos don't get as many views as my usual ones but I like to do them to keep a diary for myself and many people like them, too.
I'm also curious about this! 🤣 My design challenge is how far to extend it... the whole front or just the side by the window. And what should I do above the door... I have lots of stuff to figure out and when I start working on the drawings soon I'll be sure to share. 🙂
@ I really loved when you had those students come to your farm for work experience. Watching them learn from you in that group environment was lovely. I’m really hoping that one of your future structures is big enough for outdoor classes. You’re a good teacher.
@@PortugalfromScratch just sticking my nose in here, I think it will look symmetrical and be more practical to have the whole length of the front. That way, rain protection when you exit the door, etc.
Não... Eu percebo um pouco de inglês, mas preciso das legendas para ajudar no que não entendo. Este episódio, como foi sobre os episódios deste mês, percebi quase tudo. Mas se fosse um novo, ficava sem perceber uma boa parte. 😁
I love the fact you are very genuine with the progress of Sineads house and give a helping hand you are a wonderful friend
and neighbour
Thanks, I'm happy to hear that!
Front of the cabin looks so tidy and attractive! Good job.
Thank you!
Maybe put this towards a nice fridge for yourself or something else you need a Merry early Christmas gift xx
Wow that's really nice, thanks so much! 😀
Yes indeed, the front of your home is looking great.
Thank you!

I absolutely love the big round topped stone over the door!! Never noticed it until you did the pointing 👏😄🤪🥰❤
I think it's beautiful, too! I love the granite stones.
Wow another busy month. Great progress ❤❤
Thanks!
I really like when you’re blabbing on because you have a great sense of humor.
Cool.
your cottage/house is looking so good with the pointing and window frame, I like to see your friends progress too
Thanks! Ya it’s been so fun to follow along with sinead, too!
Busy, busy month. So much done. But I'm glad you had time to relax some.
Me too, thanks!
The house looks adorable! Huge progress! Very happy for you. Glad you and Sinead are finally done moving the lintel! 😅
Thanks so much! Ya... I'm very happy to have that thing in place, finally!

That's very true and I also find it easier to get going when the chaos starts to creep in. 🤣
The pointed house looks absolutely amazing :)
Thanks!
The pointing on the front of the house makes it look so complete! Now come on window making Manuel bring it on!
Thanks so much!
The front of the house is looking great when the window goes on it will be a proper little house keep up the good work
Thank you!
Great stuff for November, would love to see drawings for the pergola if possible.
Can’t wait for more. Great job 💪😄
Thanks! I definitely need to come up with a design so I'll be working on that. 🙂

Thanks so much! Yes the filming and editing takes a lot of time, at least for me it does, but it's fun to share. 😀
Wondering if her door key was found
Nope! 😁
Could she get a locksmith?
Front of house, pointing looks awesome Kirsty. Hope the comes window soon. Great to see window man measuring up. ❤
In theory but no idea where to find one quickly so we came up worth another solution. 😁
Thanks, me too! He said two weeks from last Wednesday so I’m hoping for next week sometime… 🙂
Well done! I see the pointing in the front of the house is completed. It looks awesome. I hope you get the window in soon.
Aaaaalmost done! There's a little sneaky bit above the door and a bit over to the right, but it's nearly there.
You are making Great progress! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!

Hi from Brooklyn NY
Hi! 😀
Good to hear from you again. I was wondering what was going on.
Ya I was a bit slow this month but I’m here! 😁
Yes, the front of the house is much better.
Thanks! I'm quite happy with it and more improvements still to come. 🙂

Oh wow! You are starting the pergola now, Have you put the shed on the back burner?
Yep! The shed is on hold as I'm still waiting on two pieces of wood for it.
Wow! I feel like I was just watching the October recap!
🙂
The front of your house looks FANTASTIC!
What happened to Success the avocado plant?
Your videos are most enjoyable to watch!
Thanks so much! Success should make an appearance in Friday's video. 😁 I'm planning a full day doing and stuff so she'll be there!

Hello 😊🐌
Hi!
Hi, just wondering where Shined got the shed and roof from? Thanks for the vids. 🙂
She got the shed from Bricomarche in Fundao and the roof from Maxmat in Castelo Branco.
@@PortugalfromScratch thanks 🙏
I’d love to see some drawings of what the pergola is going to look like. I’m wondering how far it will extend out seeing as the front slopes down. 😊

I tend to agree… I do love symmetry! 😁
Hello🎉
Hi!
Wow somehow I got mysteriously unsub’d! I will be keeping an eye on that! Love watching you guys do your thing. ❤
Actually that's happened to a few people, no idea why that is. Curious!

The front of the house is looking sweet! Beautiful. The anticipation for the window is fantastic n. When it is finished we’ll all be pleased!
Thanks so much! I'm also very excited for this window!

I hope I get a window in before Xmas!
