In these times of smoke and mirrors, to be called salt of the earth I would take as the biggest compliment. Can’t wait to see the big keg chicken coop❤.
Awww thanks so much made my day. People nowadays can someone's turn everything into an insult but I genuinely meant it as the highest regards, we have really been lucky meeting some wonderful people 🤗🤗🤗
A great idea but make sure you can clean it out and perhaps lime wash it inside unfortunately there are bugs that are always present with chickens. Bad luck runs in threes so hopefully that's all over and done with❤
Another great video! My only question to be honest is how will you take that massive barrel from the barn ahahahahahah You guys are not very lucky with mechanical stuff lately 😩 Better days will come for sure!
@@escapetothequinta I am with you on that but just want to see you taking it from the stand xD the rest is just rolling it and then stop it xD but yeah lifting it to the ropes might be the worst part xD Use the tractor hydraulics :P
I wonder how chickens will react to the winey smell in the barrel. (I know you'll have cleaned it thoroughly & all, but some smell will persist.) I'm not sure if anyone would know whether they'll think it's something that doesn't belong in the world of chickens; or if they'll say "Hey, this smells like food! It must be a great place"?
@@escapetothequinta IMHO, to really get something that high & heavy to not to rock, you'll probably need at least on more pair of posts, and one more cross-tie on each pair. But I'm eager to see what happens with this thing however it goes.
I understand it's a fine line between low enough for the chickens and high enough so it's easy to clean. I think it should be stable but if need be I can add more supports. It's all trial and error haha 😆

I can do it..... Physics will help and once it's outside it rolls..... I think the hardest bit will be getting it onto the ropes haha

I may have to ratchet strap it to myself hahaha

Hopefully I don't get them addicted. Otherwise I'll have to start making wine too hahaha
Don’t think chickens would like the rocking coop. May scare them.
I was thinking that but the weight of the thing I think it really won't move haha...... If it does maybe rope over the top too as like a support 😀

Maybe when I get the barrel I place I can mark up the height and put a vertical one in the middle underneath it perhaps but maybe you are right 🤗🤗🤗
