I love this series, I love seeing British locos in HO and I love that you're doing Thomas locos in proper HO, gets me wond up when people say "the Bachmann Thomas stuff is HO" when it just ain't I'd recommend possibly a Tenshodo spud motor for Toby? It's not a 6 wheeled chassis though, but it is discreet enough to hide under the sideplates and you can stick lots of detail in the body like his boiler and crew
Looking great! I'd love to make a Mavis myself one day! One detail I'd add is some little tiny bits of rust from were rocks hit the paint & eventual rust to follow.
Nice video. I mean this with praise, this video reminds me a bit of TheUnluckyTug's modelling series in how well edited it is. Modelling is also quite cool, subscribed!
I honestly liked how the Bachmann Toby chassis sticked out into Toby's front cab. It looked a lot like how his boiler would look like. And how dare you use poor old Toby for such a nothing character as Mavis! At least you didn't use him for a Flora. Oh, and finally you'll make someone outside of the Ffarquhar crew! But is that Stanley with Duck there?
fantastic. just a quick thought while i watch but would a bachmann salty or toby chassis is what i was going to suggest before you did it in the video lol
You know your pronouncing Ffarquhar wrong, right? Ffarquhar means "far away quarry" and pronunciation you're using doesn't suggest that. What I mean is that one of the RWS narrators got the pronunciation wrong. But I don't know about Rheneas.
Toby looks like he’s saying “this is bullshit”
8:20 when one of your projects become impacient and want to be done [or] your least favorite project trying to steal the lime light. XD
4:03 Your target is acquired!
Excellent work :)
Great to see Mavis at last.
I WANTED ANOTHER ONE OF THESE VIDEOS SO BADLY! Thank you for coming back!
@keeperoftoast Welcome back mate 👍 😊
Mavis looks amazing.
Holy cow this is absolutely amazing

The correct term for the "ringfield/pancake motor" Is "absolute garbage" iirc.
