  • I've been using Isaiah Rivera's vertical jump program for about 4 1/2 months, and these are my results! I am 34 years old now, and jumping higher than I have in about 3 years, and my body is feeling better than it has in a long time.
    Check out what they have to offer at www.thpstrength.com

    I’m just finding this review. But I’m currently 34, and this gave me the confidence to try this program out, especially after getting my legs back to a place where I can take on a workout load after having a number of knee injuries, thanks for this and congrats on the gains!

    Wait you can windmill with only a few inches below the wrist extra of height? Man I gotta try some windmills then.

    • @DunkademicsOfficial
      @DunkademicsOfficial  3 года назад +7

      ya, my technique is pretty good. gotta be able to get some good speed into the windmill...I also think I might be able to get slightly higher than the mark on my arm

    • @Anon.G
      @Anon.G 3 года назад +5

      @@DunkademicsOfficial yeah that's true your technique is pretty dialed

    • @DunkademicsOfficial
      @DunkademicsOfficial  3 года назад +18

      Just think of it like this: when you do a one hand dunk, you're jumping, and then keeping your arms straight until you get above the rim...
      If you have enough time to do a windmill motion on the way up, instead of just staying straight...then u might be able to get it!

    • @unknownpotato4140
      @unknownpotato4140 Год назад +1

      I mean if ur technique and timing is good enough you can probably east bay even with only 6’ over the rim

    • @Anon.G
      @Anon.G Год назад +1

      @@unknownpotato4140 definitely not. You need 6 inches above the rim to do a 1 hander. Definitely not an easy bay. Both billy and Isaiah have said most dunkers get their first eastbay and their first honey dip around the same time. That means they get their whole elbow at the rim to eastbay. And then personally I touch 11'6 and I can't do either but I think I could grind out a windmill with better technique. You're way off man

    Yo I'm 38 bro and I'm getting back into dunking. I'm going to try this program. Jordan Sutherland should do a dunking program for the one foot jumper. I grab the rim and dunk a tennis ball a few day along. Gaining 3 to 5 inches should get me there. Peace brother

    • @DunkademicsOfficial
      @DunkademicsOfficial  3 года назад +6

      Go for it! Look up Andy Nicholson (the guy who runs The Dunk Camp) he got his first dunk at like 44 years old, and is still trying to dunk at 48, so you still have time!
      THP is definitely a great option!

    • @bottomtext7983
      @bottomtext7983 3 года назад +2

      Jordan Southerland has one. I bought it (only $10) a month, I mean it gives a good list of solid workouts but that’s it. There’s no set reps/sets or what to do Monday-Sunday. Literally just a list of workouts/stretches. Kind of half assed IMO but you can check it out 🤷‍♂️

    Hey I want to get some predictions before I start working out! So I want to hear how high you think my vert will go up in 1 and a half years. I do have good jumping genetics do to the fact that I am 5’11-5’11 wingspan and can dunk of a good self alley. Keep in mind I have never lifted a weight in my life other than playing basketball a lot. I have around a 31 inch vert, how much could I improve my vert in that amount of time if I put in full effort? I have just turned 15 by the way!

    These prices for the program are insane. I can afford it as a softwar engineer, but in a recession how are regular folks gonna justify $100 a month for Isaiah's program? Sheesh.

    • @DunkademicsOfficial
      @DunkademicsOfficial  2 года назад

      most "regular folks" throw away $100/month on things way less valuable than a full workout program.
      you also gotta look at it relative to other things in the fitness industry...like a personal trainer might charge $100+ just for a one hour training session. With Isaiah, you're getting a full month of workouts planned out for you. And you KNOW Isaiah's workouts are good

    I really don’t know if it’s worth it, the gym I live near is really bad, I do not have access to a car yet, so I can’t go too far from where I live. My gym lacks things a regular gym should have especially things that benefit vertical jumping, I am 5’8 touching back board, about 2-3 inches from touching rim and about 10 inches to a foot away from dunking. I really want to hit a dunk but I know without a good gym, it could take about 1 year to see the same progress I would get if I had weights and was training for 4 months

      Well, ya...especially with dunking. A lot of dunkers are just naturally gifted athletes, who didn't have to "train" their vertical aside from just dunking and playing basketball.
      But the average person needs to strength train to increase their vertical.
      Other jump programs are either scams, or have a few good workouts, but aren't optimal for increasing your vertical
