  • The A380 is in Huge Trouble. From its technical issues, to airlines' harsh decisions that were made towards the aircraft, this is the TERRIFYING reality of Airbus A380.
And we must start with EASA’s airworthiness order, as they demanded that parts of A380’s be changed. EASA revealed that the evacuation slides of old A380’s, or of the A380’s that haven't been restored for a long time, should be replaced. Even though this maintenance was important, it created problems for airlines as it was both expensive and time-consuming.
But even though Airlines were willing to do as instructed, several more A380 issues got in the way.

The thing is, you are comparing an old plane with new one. Of course they are going to have newer and better features. If Airbus was to realise an updated A380, with better fuel efficiency and other improvements found on modern jets such as the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350, it would be as good as these planes.

Tired of seeing negative statements about the A380. Best aircraft ever created...maybe aside of Concorde!

I notice the American commentary and wonder if this is yet another example of why American airlines never ordered the Passenger's favourite aircraft. Thing is it beats anything that Boeing has ever produced in terms of reduced noise and passenger comfort. By far.

Airlines have no choice but to put their A380s back in the air as the demand for air travel has boomed!. The newer A350, given that its better and there are a lot of orders for this more economical jet, cannot be delivered on time and so many are resorting back to the refurbished, reconditioned A380s. Emirates wishes to order more A380s on the condition that Airbus redesign and repurpose its engines and materials to meet the needs of the times in being more modern, more economical with lower maintenance cost, hopefully. Emirates just had a $3+ billion profit lately as they had no choice but to continue to operate 80% of their more than 100 fleet of A380s even during pandemic times and by stroke of luck, their business is thriving and their leaving the competition in the dust.
