David has been featured and sourced for articles in Time Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Courier Times, USA Today, Star Magazine, MM&M, The Exchange, The Guardian, The New York Times, Bond on Bond, American Media Inc., AP Wire and online social media outlets. David has been a speaker at Johns Hopkin, Hofstra University, Columbia as a Bond Experience expert. His collection represents one of the most complete example of Bond lifestyle items. Invited to cover Tom Ford, Omega, Heineken, Coke, Orlebar Brown, NPeal, Floris, Lock & Co., Sunspel, Turnbull & Asser, and a multitude of location partnership events, David has represented social media experiences for many years. In addition David has provided props and decor for Johns Hopkin Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace Premieres as well as the Devereaux Foundation 007 Fundraiser. The mantra of living like Bond, one moment at a time emanates from a concept of experiencing the joy of collecting small moments in life that add up to amazing journeys and stories....

Love that chair David. I read Moonraker years ago but looking at those great Folio Society books you have on your show I will ordering the look great.
Enjoy everyone's personal experience with Bond books and movies. I find listening to your book club very interesting and relaxing. More of it David. Cheers.
Absolutely love this type of long form book discussion. Amazing video guys. I grew up with Bond, watching the older films with my Grandparents when I was a kid. Always been a huge fan but had never read any of the books until recently. I'm currently on For Your Eyes Only (and other short stories). Amazed by how close some of the film's stuck to the books, while others, such as Moonraker, completely done its own thing.
Also just discovered TheBondExperience and Calvin Dyson about a month ago. Living all the Bond themed content. Certainly been inspired to dress a little better
regarding British pride: I'm not British. I'm not from the UK. I'm not English. But let it be said, you have everything on Earth to feel great about! Be proud! You're awesome people, with an incredible history and culture.
The best book club episode so far, David. If I had one piece of feedback it would be sometimes it is nice to hear a paragraph or a few sentences from the book read out to hear Fleming's style. Very enjoyable!
Just watched this event again guys (as Moonraker is definitely my favourite Fleming novel) - straight after the 2nd viewing I ordered Mark's book as a Christmas gift for myself ('When Harry Met Cubby' (Robert Sellers) and 'Some Kind Of Hero' (Matthew Field & Jay Chowdhury) arrived last week!). Looking forward to the Diamonds Are Forever discussion!!
Moonraker is my favourite Bond novel by quite a wide margin
I loved the novel. Real shame they didn't make a more book accurate movie
I’ve always preferred Thunderball - it’s a unique one where the film and the book are both for me cinematic and literally masterpieces!
But Moonrakers a vlose 2nd
@@trekkiedave7910thunderball, you probably know this but if you don’t I’ll tell you actually originally started as a screenplay in hopes of making a movie but when nothing happened Fleming decided to make it into a novel and the people who collaborated with him on the screenplay (Kevin McClory and jack Whittingham) thought that they would get credit but they didn’t so they decided to sue him and it really took a lot out of him where he was forced to acknowledge that it was based on a story by McClory and Whittingham and the same thing happened with cubby broccoli
Did the lorry with the rolling out newspaper an analogy of him knowing the demise of newspapers? You all are so fun. I am 100% convinced his writings sent cryptic nesssges . The Bond Cypher
Gala was excellent.
Can we get the liquor specs, and measurements on the Moonraker?
Sounds great and it's a bond drink so we need the specifics!!! Not joking lol!!
Hugo Drax was named after Sir Reginald Drax who is the grandfather of current Conservative Member of Parliament: Richard Drax.
I have enjoyed this book a lot.
Awesome channel
Moonraker is the first Bond book where I thought he used a ghost writer in sections. Was fleming on a mission?
Tbh I totally missed what happened to dead at the end. Did he die? I can’t remember them even mentioning it at the end
Who do you mean?
Love this novel

Ugh. I'm a few weeks behind in my reading schedule. Liking the book Moonraker a hell of a lot better than the movie! - Just like Like Live and Let Die.
I´ve never read the Fleming books. Are they worth reading? Any recommendations?
@@Romans8-9 I started a couple months ago, reading them in order. I'm pleasantly surprised. Casino Royale is 1st... a little weak, compared to Craig's 1st movie, but very good. Live and Let Die better as a book and much better than the movie. I really dislike Moonraker as a movie, but enjoying how the book is starting. Recommended!
@@Romans8-9 I would definitely recommend Casino Royale, Moonraker and Dr No see how you get on with those and take it from there!
@@Romans8-9 Start with Live and Let Die, From Russia With Love, Thunderball, Moonraker. Casino Royale was good in parts, the card game was boring in my view. Spy Who Loved Me, different from film, is told from a woman's perspective who falls in love with Bond. Rest of novels are enjoyable. Also recently, Anthony Horowitz wrote 2 good Bond novels. I read them every couple of years as Fleming is terrific author.
Fleming was letting the cat out of the bag, the Project Paperclip. It still remains a villain
Casino Royale is my favourite but Moonraker is fantastic
Where are Calvin’s deleted scenes videos?
Did you’ll skip Live and Let Die?
News Flash: James Bond to Go Streaming? Reports Suggest “No Time to Die” Could Go to Apple TV or Netflix
Trying to pick Thomas's accent. Where's he from? Good session though David is half genius half nonsense with some of his stuff.
GALA _ Jodie foster
Elaborate.
I really enjoyed Moonraker the book. It is much better than Moonraker the movie which is one of my least favorite Bond films. I do not like the Jaws character or the big metal teeth. It is very juvenile, unbelievable, and destroys my suspension of disbelief. I know a lot of people really like Richard Kiel and say he was a really nice guy. I just dislike the character that he played.

Interviewer: So why did you decide to send JAMES BOND to UKRAINE in your first BOND novel, “LIVING PAST ANOTHER DAY!”.
Authors: We looked up at all the countries BOND had been to and exactly why we chose UKRAINE is a mystery, but it has worked out brilliantly being next to Russia and the Black Sea, and Chernobyl.
Interviewer: And who is PENNY GALORE?
Authors: We felt that moving BOND up in age, 60, gave us room to bring in a young unbloodied 003. BOND starts out as her ‘SHADOW’, but it is not long before everything moves up a gear.
Interviewer: So when can we expect to see this exciting new BOND spy thriller out on the internet?
Authors: Well we are mavericks and disruptors and the ‘NEW KIDS ON THE LITERARY BLOCK. We are rewriting the ‘literary distribution’ rule book . So, WATCH this space and get ready to press that DOWNLOAD button .
LIVING PAST ANOTHER DAY!" will be on FREE DOWNLOAD as a gift to the UKRAINIANS, decent RUSSIANS, and the REST of the WORLD ! Written with the help of the 'SPIRIT of IAN FLEMING!'
AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM UKRAINE !
