You said "dry load" and That reminded me I had to turn my reefer on and start pre cooling my trailer haha.
After you get enough experience you can usually tell if you’re overweight by the first full tug to get the trailer moving. Obviously you never want to rely on that alone, it’s just another tool to use. Anything over 40k takes alot more time to move. Always scale when in doubt

Probably the hardest part of the job is getting live loaded at the 01 and then having to do everything required before leaving. Nothing physical, all mental but a lot of stuff.
I do the same. I count each hole as 400lbs and I always put my tandems in the hole that balances out the weight not just the heaviest side under 34k.
IS PRIME ALL SWITCHED OVER TO AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS NOW FOR COMPANY DRIVERS ?

I don’t think you can re weight in different scale because it might be a different load, how far from the first scale and how long wait before reweight! Let us know if you get right answer!
You have to reweigh at the same scale and you have 24 hrs before you have to pay full price again.

Hopefully it's a breakdown of some kind otherwise take the next exit. And I see more non prime trucks on the side of the hwy so it's by far not only prime.
