A 1.6 second 0-60 is realistic! Look how GTR's launch, the dual clutch automatics mean instant shifting.. AND that GTR probably hits 60mph at the end of 1st gear/beginning of 2nd gear. Hell, a stock GTR does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds BONE STOCK.

The GT-R's aren't dominating anything. They don't hold any records for 1/4 mile, or standing mile, or road courses for that matter. Ford GT's dominate the standing mile, muscle cars dominate the street/strip and the Vettes and Vipers have dominated the road courses for more than a decade.

a friend of mine has a 3,460 Lb with Driver Big Tire 15x33 Slicks 1980 Chevy Malibu with a Naturally Aspirated 598 CI Big Block Chevy that makes 850 HP ( never dyno'ed the Motor so its a guess ) ( 1/4 mile MPH and Weight Calculator Says 857 HP give or take )and it runs 9.20's@147-148 MPH in the 1/4....The Shelby weighs 3,805 Lbs without a Driver so if it runs 9.0's it has more than 800 HP or like the other guy said he took out 600-700 Lbs....I am a Ford Guy so if the Shelby is STOCK Weight (3,950-4,100 Lbs with Driver ) it is Probably around 1,000-1,100 HP
MrShark4488 '13-'14 Shelbys have cracked 8.90's @ 1,150rwhp, Kenne Bell 3.6L on 22-23 psi, not even turbocharged. Car weighed less than 3,800 with driver, so they removed a little weght, car probably weighs (without the driver) about the same as a Boss 302, 3,600 or so, so they removed around 200-250 lbs. Stock GT500 is 3,815 lbs.
somewhere here on youtube there is a video of a 5.8 L Supercharged Super Cobra Jet Engine making 1600 HP on the Dyno and there is a video on here of Tasca's Super Cobra Jet Mustang running 7.90's........As of right now Supercharged Engine's ( Top Fuel ) are capable of making more HP then Turbo Engine's simply because they have had 50-60 years to develop the Nitro Burning Supercharged Engine and even though Turbo/Twin Turbo Engine's are the big craze right now they were not that common 10-20 years ago as far as Drag Racing Power Adder's go,it was either a Supercharger or NOS....Maybe there are people out there right now working on Twin Turbo Nitro Burning Engine's that make 10,000 + HP....who knows

That is totally correct numbers.. Calculations mind you but it has to be correct, because my 7300 lb. 4x4 Diesel did 0-60 in 2.9 - 3.0 sec in my 11.20@121 pass. (860 Rwhp) So at only 4000 lbs and 1600 whp, it's totally legit.

Ray Vieira Second fastest. The Alpha Omega is the fastest quarter mile GT-R so far. What throws people off are cars like Corvettes, Mustangs, etc running low 8's with like 1400hp. (sometimes less power than that, but they are light) 8.1 is good run, but I'd personally rather see it run on street legal tires rather than going on Hoosier slicks trying to set 'records'.

0-60 in 1.63 on street tires tells how good the traction control is. 1600whp will make AWD useless. Coz the alpha 20 spin all 4 wheels at 210 mph when Traction control disengage. AMS alpha GTR shows Nissan's good works on traction control. You will never find it in Corvette.

Dave, that doesn't make any sense. A properly built engine with a forged bottom, proper tune and tweaking, and professional build will last in any engine. Not only chevys last more than a dozen runs.
In a strait line, a ams alpha 16 Gtr would beat an f1 car, but on any track the f1 car would win. A stock Gtr would get absolutely destroyed by an f1 car, but then again the Gtr costs 100k and the f1 car costs 40 million
