    The official docs are nice, but these help demystify the newer tools even more
    Keep em coming! 🙂

    Gonna try this out! I've done retopology before but this looks very efficient

    This is a great explanation thanks! Is it possible to reduce polycount from the retopo mesh like if it was done using boolean modifier?

    • @changsooeun
      @changsooeun 4 месяца назад

      Not really since you will lose the quads. But, you can convert to mesh and just hide edges tho.

    • @daveson3D
      @daveson3D 4 месяца назад

      @changsooeun But won't I still have the same polycount by hiding edges. I'm trying not to t re-model several elements in a cad assembly and seeing if retopo workflow might yield lower polycount

      @@daveson3D I wish there is a way to get the best of two world. But, to get pure quads, we need enough polygons.

    • @daveson3D
      @daveson3D 4 месяца назад

      @changsooeun was afraid of that. Ah well, I'll keep trying some workflows. I appreciate your help! Btw great work your doing, love it and very thankful for it 🙌 🙏

      @@changsooeun Update, I found a workaround, converted BodyObject from CAD to Editable Poly, weld verts at lowest level, then apply quadify mesh to 100%, this got rid o many unnecessary edges, then a quick cleanup with Edit Poly again. Works great!

      I'm not sure which version you are using. But, Chamfer was added a while ago. I'm not sure why you can't open max file. But, you can try the latest version of max or merge object one by one.

    Nice to see autodesk using AI voice overs? Lame

      As the note said, it is my decision to use AI voice because I;m not a native English speaker. Trust me. It is 1000% better than hearing my voice. :)

      @@changsooeun Thank you for this very informational tutorial, and don't let rude people dissuade you from doing more excellent work like this! I am a native English speaker, and I have had difficulty in the past understanding people who are not native English speakers (ie it is their second (or third) language), even though their technical skills are outstanding, so having this technology (AI or text-to-voice), in conjunction with sub-titles, makes it far easier for me to follow along. Thanks again and ignore the ungrateful haters: they don't understand the value of your work.
