In order to celebrate 96 724 views, I have decided to upload the model... Tell me if it isn't working, and I might reupload.

You may use it for noncommercial purposes, but if you credit me and send me link to where you use it it would be nice :)

For those who asks for slower version, I think this still applies.
"You go to "youtube[dot]com/html5" (replace [dot] with . obviously), and press on "enter html5-test" (or something similar). Reload this video, and you get the videoplayer in html5-format. Press the properties icon, and choose 0.25x speed. You get it almost realtime (original was 10x times faster, so you will get 10/8 times faster than the raw footage). The downside is that the video gets laggy, but I tried it and it worked like a charm ;) Hope that helps."
Or you could try to download the video with browser plugins and slow it down in VLC or something...
that sound was actually pretty good.
Guys you can actually slow it down by the options in the youtube video player. As we can see Sondrebot doesn't hear us so at least you can do this for yourself to learn it.
+Bilgehan Bölek are you good in 3dmax, i need a lot of help for my college project, so are you willing to help
I can’t stop watching this, this is so interesting and cool
havent used 3ds max for years! The new UI looks awesome! and the viewport shading it niiice
The Crystal Method, awesome. I wish this was actually a tutorial instead of a speed model. There's not many "good" tutorials for 3DS Max. Blender tutorials are everywhere, but I'd like to learn to use 3DS Max.
Try 3dmotive, 3dtotal or Polycount ;)
Your tutorial is so cool!! I know how hard it can be… Looking forward to see more tutorials :)
Yeeah!
Great job! there is a few things i missed so i will watch again in low speed, thanks for share
The music sounds awesome when you slow down the speed to 0.5
god damn good video, watching in HD i learned so much about how to create those complicated windows with the spline tool , thanks man
you make it look easy here
love the music, did you just use FL?
Amazing work! But how much time did you spend on this model?
soo you are here...10 years later
I was watching this high and I couldnt focus on the actual footage, cuz ur music made me go woahaohaoshdoa
how do you get those bold black outlines on everything?
Brilliant loved watching
such a quality video, im gonna use it for my project, cause i gotta do different render settings to a building, such as mental ray etc
oh cool, thanx i'll try them out.
Nice one, I have a question in this you have only modelled the exterior of the house, but if i wanted to have interiors as well how should i go about adding the internal walls so as to be exact with the contours if the exterior walls and roof? also have you got iray to work for you in max 2012? if yes, how? black output for me always when using photometric lights.
Thank you very much
nice approach!
I’m actually jealous of his skills
ohh very good!!!!
congratulations.
oh ok, thank you! which engine do you use?
only in one hour!!! wow u're awesome :O thank you so much and for model too, it's helpfull for learning ^^
My first ever house in max
very good. Slow I sea want again
Also towards the end around 10:50 what is going on with the lighting?
hey there Micheal, have been a student of max for like 1 year, as per my knowledge, the method used in this video uses lots of polygons..! And this poly count is very important , if u r modelling for games. To reduce them try using plane and with Extrude,Cut and many such options can be used, once u convert the plane into editable poly.. The process is long but it definitely reduces the poly count..!
hello.. can u design a building in one day?
is there a slower version of this? my eyes cant keep up...
Apologies for late reply. ;)

this is a very good job good luck =)
Awesome :D
Also, I like the music, reminds me of Blackmill :)
While I kindoff agree on the first one (might have gone a little too experimental on some parts), the second one is more consistent, don't you think?
Ahhh box modeling such an old technique xD
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow amazing
how long have you been working on this amazing house??
1 hour, read the description
how did you do that viewport lightning thing at 8:26?
video's too fast to follow your inputs in that bit
no, wait, i got it. is that a 2012 thing? because i can't find it in 3dsmax 2011
you are wonderful!!!
Very good
Very good video
cool music
Thanks! :):)
Great video but I can't get past the lattice part, the lattice modifier in my 3dsmax behaves in a totally different way than yours. how do you edit it?
Modeling like that will create weird shaped polygons. I would stick to Splines. It it much easier to maintain and plus it allows for better scaling, same goes for adding surfaces.
super awesome.
This is too fast and when played slow it's too blurry. What you did here is awesome, but I need to know how to make the box you made from the plane...so I guess i'm looking else where thanks though, it's a nice house.
Hey man, i just started learning 3ds max and always wanted to make a house. I love your tutorial, but its too fast :/ is there a way to have a slower version?
Well, I haven't tried so much interior modeling in the past, but recently I have started to make interiors as well. The easiest solution that I know of is using the AEC part of 3ds Max. But it isn't anything like what I do here in this video. I at least think AEC is much easier than modeling the interiors when the exterior is already done.
About iray, I'm really not the right person to ask about rendering in 3ds Max. I usually export my models to game engines.
its ok for the late reply :D
dude thanks the video n the things you said about html so helped me :D Thanks again
Good shit dude. Could you upload the song?
How do you manage to have your stuff aligned so fast and easy? Any tip to give us
Yo dude, how exactly did you make that roof? the video went so fast hah
Very good music!!!!! write more. I listened to a few tracks. sorry not always available. = (
Thanks! :D
Illuminate with scene lights and shadows + ambient occlusion. And the occasional skylight which I only think works with the Nitrous renderer.
The link to the model is not working . Re-upload it again
Waaaooo. .amazing.
it is not only the fasted, it is also bod zoomed, i reduced the speed to one quarter, but couldn't see either- which modifier you r using and the like, try to fix either the speed or the video camera zoom if any - point here you give me a chance to say something or rather to lose some times.
Cool now i Want to see you unwrap this
lol thanks for the uber fast reply.... I still couldnt get the inset to work correctly by local normal, so i had to scale the vertices back towards the center line after the inset to get the vertices to weld back together, other than that, no problems really. thanks for the video
Can you Make one on interior designing, and maybe export into cryengine 3? because houses look beautiful in that engine and one can explore his creation, how would i learn? im newborn new to 3dsmax, so what would you reccomend man, really wanna create the house of my dreams /:
nice
hi can I ask a question please ??
I just want to know which modifier you used after the time 6:11 min to make the part of the circle to be rounded by blocks ?? I really don't know it and I can't recognize it >> it's not clear in the video:$
give me a reply pleaaase and thanks a lot :)
how long did it take you to make this model? :)
Go to Customize>Viewport configuration>Lighting and shadows tab>
Turn on viewport shading.
but you make it faster or? i hope its not your normal workflow :D
mto massa o video eim...
Wow! I did not notice that. I thought I did this in 2 - 3 hours..
Not completely sure what you mean, but yes, the model is pretty basic. It lacks very much detail, especially in the walls and fence.
Oh thanks! I've been wondering how to do it properly. :D
Doesn't it depend on the artist? Looking at how he created everything it would be annoying to create a uvw but it's done quite well in terms of overall design. I would say it could be used in a game or an animation.
How long did this take you?
please tell me, you are not fast like in this video, its edited? when is not, i stop with learning
MUSIC IS COOL!

UCS? You need to manually create the center edge. Select two opposing edges, and choose connect. Or am I misunderstanding what the problem is?
Was going to texture it, but it never happened because.... Well, it wasnt really good for game-usage. Maybe I'll make another timelapse video where I doo all from creating the actual model to texturing, baking etc. Maybe even a tutorial.
go go go men
oh my good!!!!
I've been 3d modeling for a few months now and I'm curious on a few techniques. I've been trying to make houses for games but I never learned from a plane setup. Just made the box and the works. have any tips or atleast a small start to help me learn this curve? From just exterior prop to a working house you can enter in and go to each floor. Truly any help would be much appreciated!
next time, can you make the house at a nice pace instead of at the speed of light
+AbdulTheCool Qadri are you good in 3dmax, i need a lot of help for my college project, so are you willing to help
Owl Han I used 3DS Max for a project I had in high school. That was 2 years ago and I haven't used 3DS Max ever since. Sorry, I won't be of use.
+AbdulTheCool Qadri its alright 👍🏽
TANX . very nice
This is what every design tutor should be able to teach their students in University, in the first month of the first year in Architecture, otherwise he or she cannot be called a design tuto, nowadays.
can you slowly action ? i think it is very great but i can't study it if you paint too fast, thanks
good
would this software be appropriate to design a paintball field?
i use ur video as tutorial, i can't figure out what u doing in 3.37 , i use hide selection but it doesnt work, can u please tell me what u doing ? thank you :)
thanks for your tutorial
but can i ask if there is a way to export a model at .Nif with textures types Diffuse or Normal Maps?
thanks! i am making a model for Skyrim and that's the why i ask!
u r too good
awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
very very fast! slowly dear LOOOOL
LIFE SPEED NORMAL :))))
Hate the music but love the Video :D
Thank you dude
u are good thanks
Cool.. :)
hi.. i did tried ur work but when u extrude the ridge at :35 sec.. and ur UCS pick the point at center of ridge.. for its not working.. so can u please help me out.. i am sorry as this video is bit old ..but its really amazing.. thanks to u..
bravooo :D
can you please upload a slower version of dis video
amazing,,, sangar (y)
i would like to live in there
well forget cryengine 3 but just basic interior modeling and how to use 3dsmax step by step, it may be a lot of work but it be really awesome for someone like me who wants to make his own world D:
Are you an architect or game designer
Will the gap in the upper part of the window, is how to do?
