And fix what has changed from photo to photo like wonky lighting or makeup wearing down. I can't justify trying to make someone look like a wax figure, but that's what I see on Instagram these days. When sending someone their picture it should look like them on their best day, not what they would look like as unobtainable, unrealistic perfection.
The funniest thing is that the women in the video said they started "accepting" their physical traits only when they got positive feedback from others, and not from the confidence within.
How can you start accepting confidence in yourself if you grew up in a environment that never accepted you or was toxic to you. For some people (strong will people), it comes naturally, but for a lot, someone have to tell you first then you can start working on self acceptance.
@Foxbody Boogie You know there are plenty of guys on social media who are doing exactly the same thing? Always remember: A model is a walking, living breathing mannequin. Fashion models are used to make the clothing look good. And the clothing has to look good to sell to people who AREN'T built like models. And models aren't built like the general population. It is all an illusion to sell to you and to make you buy.
DAngelo 136 true but the clothing articles does come in different sizes when u go to shop, but what do insta models do, just wear clothes to show off their body which is the opposite of what real models do, not to mention that insta models die without attention
I believe that fashion models are not used to make clothing look good. True fashion models are supposed to add nothing to the clothes so that you get a true sense of how the clothes look and not how a good body can make it look. That is why most actual "high end" models are very thin, without curves, similar to these models. However, more recently, models for online clothing stores have become more curvaceous yet still thin because that is what looks best in most clothing. In this case, the models are only chosen based on how they can make clothing look.
@@daonedaonly942 While you are correct, it makes me wonder why they just don't use a coat hanger? Models are essentially walking coat hangers but it makes me wonder why the fashion designers don't just use coat hangers on a wire to present their clothes on a runway since none of their clothes are made to flatter a human body regardless? Back in the 50's, runway models were used to make the clothes look flattering, since the clothes were made to fit a human body with all of it's curves, but nowadays clothes aren't made for people and you can see this especially in women's clothing.
@@peachesandcream8753 were talking about two different things here. Theres two fashion worlds. One is for the people to wear and the other is to make a statement. To create art essentially. High end fashion models certainly add nothing in body, but their face and walk are meant to display works of art. Just like a frame of an art piece at a museum. High end fashion is now not about the fashion industry but about a new form of art. This is completely separate from clothing people wear day to day, it's just two completely different worlds that both happen to use clothing but for completely different reasons.
Exactly. Their bodies are meant to show off the clothing, how it looks and hangs, the pattern, etc. it’s not the other way around where the clothing is meant to show off the body and distract from the clothing.

I can appreciate someone, who had surgery that negatively impacted their lives, telling me to avoid surgery. But I cannot respect someone who has benefited from the change and are happy inside and out about it, telling me not to do it. Body positivity is a scam. It's easy to be positive when when you're happy with the changes you made .
Yeah it seems disingenuous. She had plastic surgeries and felt better afterwards, so why would she discourage others? Personally I’m “against” plastic surgeries for things that are purely cosmetic where your looks are actually perfectly normal. But more than that I’m against the hyping of good looks and constant confirmation from strangers that occurs. Plastic surgery is just a symptom of the very superficial world we live in.
Hopefully when I have children I raise them properly to love themselves aswell as others so they won't have low self-esteem and feel the need to get plastic surgery. The person that accepts you and becomes your partner does not judge your character based on your looks but by the integrity of your personality. I hope to instill that thought in my future kids.
As a woman who has breast augmentation, just make sure surgery is the last resort to improving the area you want. If you can exercise it, do that but if it’s something that can’t be done by that and there there’s no effective non-surgical method... only then consider it.

Exactly. Also, models are not meant to represent your average person, they are meant to be an ideal to aspire to and only the truly beautiful or interesting looking people become models, which your average person cannot fit into. I think it's naive for people to ask for inclusivity and it's naive to believe that "everyone is beautiful" when that just isn't the case.

There's nothing wrong with having small boobs. Implants are soooo bad for people. I never understood making fun of things that people naturally don't have control over.
Totally agree , give me small but natural over big and fake , and also , they feel different when you touch them , it happens to me once , but they feel so weird that I never forget that .
It's not really for yourself though... It's for the people that you feel you want to see you and get compliments on. It's insane if you think about it more. Doing dangerous things to yourself because you want to look a certain way in order to please another human being that perhaps wouldn't do the same thing if you'd asked...
Yeah, implants are weird. I would legit rather date a girl with a flat chest. Even the ones that they claim "look and feel real" are always a bit too firm and don't move naturally. With the exception of fat grafted titties. Those look and feel 100% natural.

The Instagram models all just seem to be hypocrites with low self-esteem. Honestly...the body positivity movement COULD be good if it actually encouraged people to accept their flaws that they have no control over. (height, proportions, skin/hair/eye color, dick/boob size, etc.) Instead it focuses on telling people that their unhealthy lifestyle will never have consequences and that a doctor telling them otherwise is somehow shaming them.
I had to have surgery on a badly broken nose. A rhinoplasty wasn’t an option. One is done by a ear, nose, and throat doctor. The other is done by a plastic surgeon.
Yeah, those ENT docs will do a bit of “plastic surgery” but that’s only for medically necessary issues. Like someone with a need to help with breathing, like you, or someone that has had a tumor or cancer removed, or something because of a deformity. If you want a bump taken off for vanity reasons that aren’t medically necessary, that’s not what they do. Those things aren’t covered by medical insurance because they’re not medically necessary. That’s something that you go to a plastic surgeon for and pay for yourself. She’s flat out lying. ENT docs don’t shave off your “bump” when fixing a broken nose, etc.
foley15136 sorry but that’s just not true, I had a septorhinoplasty three years ago. I could not breathe through my nose after breaking it multiple times as a child, it was crooked and basically deformed, hence the septoplasty. And I also had a bump (visible from the side) so I asked the surgeon if he could shave it down, and he did. A year later I had a revision as it still wasn’t straight which bothered me, although at this point I could breathe. The revision consisted of cutting the cartilage out of both sides of the nose and switching the sides (cosmetic). It’s still not straight but regardless.. A septorhinoplasty can be both medical as well as cosmetic with the correct surgeon. I also don’t believe you can be a cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeon if you don’t have an understanding of the structural and functional needs of the nose, but hack job nose jobs happen every day. Eg, in the 80’s surgeons used to remove the turbinates to create smaller looking noses, they straight up cut out a functional part of the nose anatomy leaving people with collapsed nose sides but at least it looked smaller right? But luckily medical science has progressed since then, although some old as*hole surgeons still f*ck with peoples faces like that today..
I have a cleft lip and my nose was affected, it didn’t form properly meaning that I cannot breathe as easily as others do. Surgery is an option for me which will alter its appearance and help me breathe better as well.

Hopefully when I have children I raise them properly to love themselves aswell as others so they won't have low self-esteem and feel the need to get plastic surgery.

@What Not To Do At a Stoplight Yup, being healthy and in shape will always be attractive.
I actually understand why she did a nose job, i have a bump i like how it looks but its fucking irritating and painful sometimes
Nothing wrong with getting one, if that’s what you want. It doesn’t matter what your reasons are. But that woman was lying about how she got hers.
foley15136 sorry but that’s just not true, I had a septorhinoplasty three years ago.

Can you imagine how many young people are looking at these so called models??? No wonder anxiety and depression is sky high. Back in 2012 when i got insta, im 21 now, it was just full of people taking random pictures and normal selfies.
Duck liiiiipppssss 😂😂😂😂😂
Gary knows he's beautiful and doesn't have to compromise his morals to prove it
Thats the reason, because hes genetically gifted. The other ig models can't say the same so they would compromise their morals. Thats what I think at least,
She's against plastic surgery *now...*
And the first one's plastic surgery was all over her face.
Edit: "#AcceptingMyselfNow" PREACH PREACHING
This video should have been titled "Real Models Vs. Fake Models"
Insta model :"i believe that you dont need cosmetic surgery to look beautiful stay fit and healthy preachhhh"
Also insta model : "yeah i had cosmetic surgery"
the logic, the hypocrisy.
"Yeah I photoshop"
Fr, if you're gonna do it don't be against it. It's not an issue in the first place, it's just weird when people are hypocritical about it. It's like when someone gets an abortion and then complains about how horrible abortions are after they've benefited from it. Bruh if you got an abortion good for you idc just don't be a hypocrite.
@@camdenwyeth316 Don't compare it to abortion. The thoughts those people have after an abortion is not a "oh I just got bad service", its deep, sorrowful regret.
@@christina4012 I don't think you understood the point I was making? I'm saying the hypocrisy is the issue, not the act. If you'd like me to explain in more detail let me know but your reply kind of confused me.
@@camdenwyeth316 I'm just saying just don't compare it to abortion that's all.
Now call out the "models" that sleep with ppl for travel and luxury.
That doesn't happen as often as you think there have been things put in place to make sure it doesn't happen. If it does most times it would be a choice it's not like the music industry
Poop travel
They're usually the same ones.
“I broke my nose” then “ I didn’t like my hump”. So did you fix it because you didn’t like the hump or it was broken?!
LIA MINELLI She broke her nose on purpose on the table with surgery to lose the Hump, make it slim and remodel it 😂
When you break your nose, it often heals incorrectly, leaving a little hump
Breaking your nose often leaves it crooked or with a hump
@@dom2752 no she broke her nose and had surgery to make it slimmer at the same time thats what she said
Jason muhleman I’ve broken it 3 times and it’s hella crooked and I hate it :( makes me hella insecure
They're the equivalent of everything that's wrong with today's social media.
I've never understood why they are called "influencers".
Are they really influencers, or merely provocateurs capitalizing on the human tendency to envy and covet?
Influencers to influence you to buy certain products. Basically glorified plastic sales people.
Mostly the latter
Best comment I've seen
They Influence people to become stupid.
Either way they are I influencing you to buy a product, hate yourself etc. influence can be positive or negative
2000 Liberal: You are who and what you are and screw whoever doesn't like it.
2020 Liberal: If you don't like who/what you are you can change it and everyone has to like it.
yeah like 20%
James Carmichael not all liberals just the mainstream media portrayal of liberals
@@bmoore1908 Yeah I agree. My comment isn't 100% serious.
CockYaLegS you can believe that if you want the liberals that I interact with are nothing like the ones I see on tv just like the conservatives I know. I just hate when people put a large group of people in one generic box based on the extremist actions of some people . Yes there are some extreme liberals and conservatives that are like that but to think it’s a majority of all of them is stretching pretty hard and not recognizing diversity of opinions within these groups. They don’t have a hive mind.
CockYaLegS Since I have mixed political views I have seen the hate train go both ways online. I feel like it’s just so easy for people to demonize the other side as a whole instead of recognizing that some experiences don’t account for the entirety of the group. if I was to actually associate the vile things I’ve seen said online to the entire group I wouldn’t be able interact with either groups to be honest. In person from my experience both sides to me seem reasonable and understanding but online it gets ugly fast.
The fact that you call them models is part of the problem. You're giving them validation.
"we don't showcase how lavish our lives are, because it's not, we broke" 😂😂😂😂😂
I love how the IG model preach Body positivity, but then say that everybody can't do their jobs. IG Models are just trash.
Of course she's against plastic surgery. In all other women except her. Other women must accept themselves and that they do not match standards and are "uglier" than her. This is what she really wanted to say.
When a woman uses these tiny euphemisms to describe what she has done ... Little sweet words on the outside, a big bitter problem inside
Well she get doctored on all she wants to, I'm not wild about having anything nipped nor tucked THAT involves cutting. No thank you.
@Od zera Ayeeeee man, Preach on brotha.
Exactly why I don't support body positive movement because it's filled with HYPOCRISY!
Huh?lol I think you mean because the media you consume highlights the hypocrite ones... why would you not support the body positive movement? If you don’t, what do you believe in that contradicts it?
@@sabest10 Unfortunately it is the majority..
Deleted my fb and ig yesterday glad I left that virtual life behind
"preaching veganism while eating a turkey sandwich" this is to good
Its like a preacher telling their congregation to live a modest life, and then buying a private jet.
Bruh
Dude. I had that. I'm part of the Christadelphian community (kind of similar to Christians ) and this one guy did a talk on Sunday about how we should be valuing spiritual things over materialistic things and all that. He'd literally zoomed up in his new, impractical, two seater Porsche and parked in front of everyone that day (bear in mind he had two kids as well so this forced them into needing two cars that day so it was there was no other reason to have it other than to show off). Talk about being a hypocrite ......
@@joebloggs6922 Mostly really religious people are the biggest hypocrites 😂
@@hotnspicy474 I can attest to that. It's really sad to see, although in my community it tends to be the 'casuals' who are more hypocritical cause they want the best of both worlds
Umm homeboy with the deeply melanin skin at this event was definitely looking yes hello 👋🏾.
80% of people own a smart phone and yet some are not smart
The problem with the body positivity movement is that it implies that being superficial is wrong, while at the same time maintaining the idea that looks are important. They basically fall in the same trap of thinking that their appearance is the only thing that matters.
Congratulations!
You played, yourself!
Goddammit gimme my 2 seconds back
😭
As soon as this vid dropped, I stopped doing my homework 😂! You guys are legit dope!
Imagine going out and someone asks you what you do and you reply with.."I'm an Instagram model and Social Media INFLUENCER"
Loved hearing your thoughts on the end. Completely agree with how ridiculous social media has become and how desperate people are for others validation.
Everyone of my friends are always pressuring me to start posting like ig models cause they're always saying how I'm "so pretty" and could make it but personally thats just not me. I just wish people wouldn't look at me weird for simply not wanting to be a part of that.
In fact when I spend time off of social media I find myself being at my happiest.
3:30 don’t want to sound evil, but people who encourage other people not to change “for the better” or not to improve themselves say that because they want to keep them down. It’s like the whole telling your chubby friend they don’t need to lose and are perfect just the way they are (because deep down you don’t want them to become hotter than you). It’s a bad mindset, but I have experienced this in multiple forms so I know it’s real.
Also people are spreading fake positivity so that followers think they’re nice, sweet and genuine (hard to tell the genuine people from the fakes nowadays smh)
By the way, I’m all for bettering yourself and doing what makes you happy as long as it’s positive and you are in a HEALTHY MINDSET
Well i mean if we suggest going on diet they'd likely would lash out.. 😐 so i'm just... do what you want to, it's your body and life. You wanna be hot and fit, go exercise. You wanna stay fat, hey, own it and be happy. Don't go around getting mad at Adele for losing weight
aeoli garlic facts! People just gotta mind their own business, do what makes them happy and not try to shame or lash out at other people doing what makes them happy! (And is safe/legal lol, obviously)
So they learnt to love themselves, not through any self realization or eye opening experience , but through the justification of people who tend to promote "ideal" body standards..........OK
Sam Ndukwe complete insanity🤦🏾♀️
