Especially since whole communities can shun those just for speaking out. I saw a thing where a victim was pretty much shunned for speaking out about it even though HE WAS THE VICTIM. I have no respect for organizations that protect predators.

I’m not blaming the victims at all!
The problem is especially in the black church is you have single mothers going to the church worshiping the pastor like he/she is God! Theses women always screaming “my passa my bishop” then let these pastors be alone with their children! It’s the “parent” fault some of the time. Notice I did not say “parents”! If you are black you definitely know what I’m talking about! It’s sad 😢 but this ain’t nothing new!

@@juliangriffiths9583 I get what they mean. The black community is a lot harsher on LGBTQ and are really religious oftentimes, so it'd be harder for them to come out because they'd be putting a huge target on their head, physically and metaphorically.
Many white parents or family would disown a family after this too though, so it's not as big of a difference as some may try to make it out to be.

As a man who has been raped myself, it's incredibly important and necessary that us men are transparent about abuse so that we can help stop it, as well as spread awareness and support for victims of sexual abuse as a whole. There's no shame in speaking about the trauma that you endured, and you aren't weak because it happened. As men we often feel pressure to push this down, because many people don't take male sexual abuse seriously. If you're a victim of sexual abuse, please reach out. I promise you're not alone.❤

And I appreciate a man for taking that step and being vocal about it, too. I wish more men took part in the me too movement. When someone is faced with abuse like that, the best thing we can do is to not only heal and survive, but to THRIVE in the face of the most intimate betrayal. Thank you thank you thank you, for being a voice for so many others who might not feel ready to speak and encouraging them to do so to start the path of healing and to call this out for what it is. ❤❤

My boyfriend was sexually molested by his probation officer. He told his mother about what happened and she ignored it. He told her he wasn’t going back and that horrible probation officer apparently made his probation go away. The police department seems to have amazingly lost all of his old paperwork from the 1970’s. He was 14 years old, setup to take a fall for having MJ in his possession. He was stopped by the police in a southern town, and without any reason to do a search of his car, they did a search and seizure. All of this was illegal but he didn’t know this. His mother and stepfather apparently didn’t care and allowed his initial rights to be abused and then wrote off the sexual misconduct to be written off. My boyfriend still has PTSD that occurs. And where’s that old probation officer now? He was murdered. Unsolved until this day. Probably by either a victim of the abuse (only good news is that my boyfriend wasn’t raped), or a relative of the victim of abuse. And all of it was swept under the rug.

Right? And the woman that come out and say "Ive been groomed" are made out to look at liars and or "too emotional" and wow only 16 years old this woman was. And society just acts like this is okay. It's pathetic to how I've found so many crappy men on dating websites who build my trust then ask me for "nude photos" one got mad at me when I wouldn't send them any. Two men from AA event tried to get me to join their weirdo porn cult at their home he said he was studying to become a "pastor" even dressed nice. If I ever see him again I'm going to throw hot coffee in his face and kick him in the nards. Woman aren't messing around anymore and men shouldn't have to put up with the abuse of getting raped by other men or groomed by woman either it's not okay. It goes both ways and we need to start talking about the men that have been abused to instead of making them feel like they don't have a voice.

A very common pattern here: predators are lied and covered up for, by wives & elders, who either don't deal with them, or don't do it properly. The victims tend to be ignored or neglected, & if they keep speaking about it, they're treated like the enemy, while everyone, including friends, often, turns their backs on them. It's called all kinds, including protecting the system, & failing the victim. This could be why he's still preaching, or he might just have good connections with other preachers. Maybe try reading Jeremiah 23 & Ezekiel 34, I found this helped make some sense of the bad 'shepherds' we have today.

People grumbled but no one actually went to the police. They eventually ended up married and still are today. These pastors drill into their members they are the messenger and voice of God. She was dropping it and everything outlandish. Pastor Rush came out when she was done and told us (the audience) we need to cheer her and root for her. He told her to go back on stage and dance some more. As she was dancing, he was dancing off to the side and in the microphone was saying “this our next dancer, our next video vixen”. My sister, friend, and I left after that bc it felt very dirty.

It seems like she got her son to say that because her and her sister case was too old to prosecute. JUST MY OPINION #JMO Exactly what am saying that’s why her and her sister fell out because they both wanted him. And how you don’t see bruises on your son because if it happened with her son was 13 she hurt him when she was 16 she was 30 or 29 when that happened to her son how did you not see those bruises on him so he was sexually abusing you for over 13 years and then start abusing your son and you never reported none of this to the police the story sounds out of place and where was her mom and her dad where was her sister’s mom and her sisters dad where was her son dad when all of this was going on it sounds like she was young as she was in a relationship with the older dude, I understand according to the law that is seen as raping a under age girl, but I think the sexual relationship was consensual if she was just young and that’s what the case is and she’s mad that he’s not dealing with her no more because she’s too old and he likes younger women

For the kids being beaten, unfortunately this is how churches thrive. They tell you the children must be beaten until the fear drives them to self-regulate. What's worse is that too many people still believe hurting kids is the right thing to do - this is senseless. Every beaten child is always going to be dismissed as a disciplined child regardless of the damage done as long corporal punishment laws are in place. Anyone who thinks this is right needs to listen to the early parts of this story until they change their minds.

In my household we view these people as liars, grifters and potential assailants. If you assume a position of a liar, the judicial rules should flip to "GUILTY until proven INNOCENT". If you want to appear innocent then you should leave these positions of power in organized religions. We need to stop having organized religious buildings where we leave our children with strangers who injected themselves into our lives by piggybacking religions bullshit. This is still a stranger! His whole job is to memorize lies and regurgitate them. Do not leave your kids alone with them!

He's not evil. There's no such thing as evil. There's just people who take advantage of other people and situations because people are gullible when they don't have to be.
There are people who do it because they have antisocial personality disorder and then there are those who do it because so many people make it easy.
It's truly funny that people will believe in some sort of supernatural being that controls and sees everything but won't believe people when they say that somebody that actually exists is doing things that are actually provable but unless it is not seen by real people, it isn't true.

@@wryckingbaul8612 The following has nothing to do with this particular story.
Since there is no supernatural being, the fatherless/widows of this world should be raped/beaten/killed because of how easy it is?
Child rapists/murderers are not evil, they just do it because it is easy and/or they have _antisocial personality disorder?_

@@wryckingbaul8612 You can be evil without it being a spiritual thing (the word itself is an adjective to describe something), in a lot of cases being antisocial is not an excuse for doing these heinous things, and such people can live without causing such horrible damage to others. You cannot blame people for trusting people who legit present themselves as trustworthy and in addition, people can be in circumstances where they are vulnerable (like for instance, children). “People are gullible when they don’t have to be” is not a good reason at all for them to end up harmed, and worse is that this is very insensitive and ignorant to what happens in these cases. Perpetrators choose to do these things, they are conscious of their actions (besides antisocial ppl just lack remorse and empathy towards others, they know what they are doing) and will always do things that will deceive people in a covert way.
