Hi Barry, I hope you don't mind me asking a question that you may know the answer based in your experience with this set of pedals. I bought these in April and received them on Monday 21st May, managed to mount them (in my GT1 EVO "2019") and calibrate them correctly using DIVIEW. Used them on Tuesday and was amazed by the difference compared to my g25 pedals I've been using since 2005. To my surprise, went on to use them today, and both accelerator and clutch work but brake is not working... Checked DI View, Windows native app, content manager for AC, but no input coming from the brake whatsoever. I've tried the usuals, rebooting, disconnecting and connecting usbs, disconnected and re-connected the brake cable to the control box... and nothing. No idea what it can be, they only have 1 hour of use and brake is not working... I am using the G25 wheel and obviously the pedals from logitech are not connected. Any idea what this could be? It can't be they just broke, specially the brake pedal with its 100kg loadcell.. Thanks and take care, Cristóbal
Have you contacted All4SIM? There is an outside chance the load cell has failed. Not very common though. Also open up the black inclosure and make sure the load cell connection to the circuit board is on tight.
@@simracinggarage3026 Thank you Barry, I'll check out those things you mention. I have indeed emailed them today, so I'll also wait their response. Will update on the outcome if I manage to fix it myself or find a solution from All4sim. Cheers, Cristóbal
@@simracinggarage3026 Good news Barry, All4Sim's Martin contacted me and provided a similar sort of response, and I have checked today inside the black control box for the connection of the brake pedal cables into the circuit board (green box with 4 cable sockets). After loosing them and checking, I re-attached them more deeply and then tightened all 4 screws with care (to a point I knew they were well attached and making contact). It is all working fine now and the brake pedal send signals to the computer again. Re-calibrated it and all good to drive! Thanks for your help and prompt response! Take care and best regards, Cristóbal.
Which software is used to calibrate these pedals outside of the sim? Im wondering if you can tweak the curve or the range of the pedals, load/save profiles, etc. I'm most interested in upgrading to these, but i know the Heusinkveld Sprints have very flexible software based on Barry's review, so the lack of that being mentioned in this review leaves me torn between the two. Barry can you mention how they were calibrated/tuned outside of the sim, if at all?
@@WarmRed77 The curve part isn't a big deal, it's being able to send less signal to the sim when at 100% on the actual pedal (example: 100% on the brake = 80% in sim). Helps a lot in sims where the brake pressure isn't adjustable.
I would say it probably could. That being said it’s the most expensive shifter Barry has reviewed (if you’re talking about the large red and grey metal one).

@@pyrates2000 Get the HE Sprint. Meca is a copycat. They copied the mechanical design from the old HE Pro Pedals for Brake and Gas Pedal. You should support genuine engineering and not copied designs. Also don't forget Software and Support from HE is top notch. Heusinkveld left a statement in the virtual racing forum on this topic. Sorry for Meca but they should come up with an own design.
@@Tintop They seem to have enough of their own ideas in these to not be simple copies. They are of course inspired by Heusinkveld, no doubt. But they took that basic idea and have improved on it. As long somebody takes the basic concept and improves on it enough I don't see an issue.
I don't know for sure. Did not test them on that pedal tray. They have some generous slots in the pedal mounts, so I thinking it should not be a problem.

How would mounting vertical work, what type of cockpits support it anyway? I have no desire to run pedals F1 style, been having difficulty trying to narrow down how to go with a setup and achieve a good gt position
I have to ask why? I mean why is it a problem for you with floor mounted pedals? If it's for immerssion, it's only for the 'lower ranks' of GT cars that have vertical mounts (Cup cars, GT4's, TCR and a like), far most GT cars nowadays have floor mounted pedal boxes - Even such things as (V8) Supercars and ofc, GT3, GTE, DTM etc.. Mainly because the driver is moved from the regular position, sitting lower and further back, plus it allows for more adjustability, placing and not least, allows to relocation of positions. I would much rather get a nice set of pedals and a sturdy rig, than to pay the extra for inverted. But hey, if there is a need, it's the right question to ask :)
@@Steadybeheady I see - Awesome car! :) There is a lot of solutions around the web depending on the budget for pedals and rig. Fanatec makes some, but you can get kits for such things as HE kits as far as what I've seen in the past. I would highly suggest an 80/20 aluminium rig, such as the Simlab stuff and similiar products, from the get go regardles of style of pedal. They are highly modifieable and sturdy. In order to accomodate for inverted outside of the Fanatec's, you'll probably just bolt them directly on to a "H"-section made of 80/20 aluminium extra pieces. But search around the web, and you'll see different solutions and pedals :) But again.. I can only say that the higher you go in pedal quality, thus more adjustability you get in the feel of the pedals - You'll more than likely have a greater success in getting more your wanted feel with less focus on the inversion but more on the actual pedal it self :-)
@@KF2NationalKartcrg thanks man, I see you recommend the simlab 80/20, I believe I stumbled upon that one late last week and the price comparative to non 80/20 comparable rigs seems actually quite good! I used to be fairly set on the HPP pedal set or HE Ultimate, but I've lessened that to now looking into the HE Sprint and the new all4sim meca are looking real nice. Maybe just with floor mounting and the angle adjustability I could get this close enough, as it seems it is definitely extra cost/gear/work to run a inverted setup. With how so many pedals are able to be set up inverted, I thought that it was more common for a rig to be ready to adapt to the positioning but it seems that is not quite the case. Either of those pedals combined with the Accuforce V2, fanatec sq 1.5 shifter and a undecided handbrake are the game plan to replace my current setup. Plus VR, so no need of monitor mounts or anything like that
How do you integrate different components made by different manufacturers? Say proto simtec pedals or these pedals in the video with a direct drive unit like simucube or accuforce or even fanatec or is it all integrated into the computer? All this on a sim lab cockpit. I'm no computer programmer by any means.
@@simracinggarage3026 thank you. It just looked like the fanatec d d unit had the components plugging into the back of it using rj45 ethernet cables. Thanks again
That's correct, but only Fanatec hardware can plug into their wheelbases. That same hardware can also plug directly into PC USB. Some require adapters from Fanatec, some do not.

No idea what it can be, they only have 1 hour of use and brake is not working...
I am using the G25 wheel and obviously the pedals from logitech are not connected.
Any idea what this could be? It can't be they just broke, specially the brake pedal with its 100kg loadcell..
Thanks and take care,
Cristóbal
Hey Barry, have you ever thought about recording some online races you participate in? I'd have a lot of fun watching
I might just buy the base plate WOW!
Sure wish my HE Sprints had a baseplate like this, it's an unnecessarily complex thing that's a pain to install and adjust.
A baseplate like this will improve the feel of most pedal sets I think.
It uses the same software as the Heusinkfeld Ultimat (DIView). There are no profiles and curves. Is also unnecessary with these pedals, in my opinion.
@@WarmRed77 The curve part isn't a big deal, it's being able to send less signal to the sim when at 100% on the actual pedal (example: 100% on the brake = 80% in sim). Helps a lot in sims where the brake pressure isn't adjustable.
I LOVE THAT SHIFTER your using , do you think it could be used on Euro Truck , ATS , with a plug in 10 to 18 shifter , Thank You .
I would say it probably could. That being said it’s the most expensive shifter Barry has reviewed (if you’re talking about the large red and grey metal one).
At this point, what would you consider the best must have peddles if you are going all in?
hi thank you for this test I currently have the hpp 2 PRX how do you find this one compared to the hpp prx thank you
sometimes i hate living in Australia... cannot get any cool stuff...who wants to ship a set to me ? lol i cant even read the website
as always, Barry i love the review!
hey good morning George if u scroll down a bit and go back up u can choose the currency and u can choose the english version of the site hope it helps and have a great day .
Ronald Kasteel English version did work thank you!
@@Omggtr your welcome .
Am I missing the software/drivers section here?
Hello, tell me, what are the correct microcircuits to use to convert the signal from the load cell to the pc to set up and calibrate as a game device?
31:12 is where i have a childish chuckle.
Will you review track racers TR8020 cockpit anytime soon?
Hey Barry, random question, but how far are your screens from your eyes? Youve mentioned before that your screen angles are 50 degrees, with 27 inch screens that should be about 25 inches from eye to screen. Is this what you have it set at?
Angel is 60° and 23" from eyeball.
Is there any special software to calibrate and setup them like with H Sprint
Diview
I was wondering how do these compare to the Heusinkveld's Ultimate....
Any idea of the pedal mounting dimensions (not the baseplate)? Same as HE Sprints?
43:08 throttle throw length screw fail, I wonder if that would be a problem or if it just needs tightening a bit more?
That was on me. I didn't tighten it back down properly once I had it adujsted.
Setting the eccentric to max is for NFS arcades, ON / OFF :)
Better than heusinkveld sprint????
Is there a 2 pedals option kit? I don’t need the clutch pedal.
would you recommend these or the Heusinkveld Sprint? I am about to pull the trigger on some high end pedals but i dont know which to get
If I were looking to buy a set of higher end pedals. I would chose the Cup 1 with baseplate between the two you mention. That doesn't mean you or others will feel the same way.
@@simracinggarage3026 thanks for the reply it was what i was hopping for the Cup 1s just look so good and your review of them paint them in such a good light the only down side is they don't ship until august
hey barry would you pick these or the simworx v3 set? sprints arent for sale in Australia for months so its between those two.
That's hard one. Both will give you a great experience.
@@simracinggarage3026 just to let you know Barry they now send them out with a 200kg load cell brake not the 100kg yiu received.
Great review as always 👏
I noticed the aluminum spacers between the bumpers on break pedal angle heavily under braking... is this a concern?
I have not had any issues with wear or friction so far.
Barry, has anyone told you that you sound like Garrus from the Mass Effect games? Well, you do.
Man. Which microphone do you use. It sounds so good 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nothing to do with the mic, hes born with that sexy bass.
I have a question for you ... how do you get your nails so manicured?
Hmm, I was 100% sure I would be getting the HE Sprints this year. Now I am not so sure. These definitely look awesome!
he sprint seems so fragile and too expensive when I look at those pedals.
@@MrMETEK23 I would probably get tge Meca. The only thing I am worried about is the support as this company is basically a big unknown. How will they handle defects? Will they still be around in a couple of years time? This isn't small change for me so something I need to consider in the decision.
HE did set kind of a standard in the sim industry with their pedals that others aspire to. This is the case in many other Industries. As long somebody takes the basic concept and improves on it enough I don't see an issue.
you have to compare these pedals with the HE Ultimate and not with the HE Sprint btw.
Hi Barry, do you know if these can be mounted on the Simlab's GT1 Evo rig without the base plate?
I don't know for sure. Did not test them on that pedal tray. They have some generous slots in the pedal mounts, so I thinking it should not be a problem.
@@simracinggarage3026 that helps. Thanks very much :)
Does anyone have experience with the support? I am looking at purchasing, but a product is only as good as the support behind them. I have found that out the hard way when I started sim racing.
Hey Barry, really random question but I’d be really interested in knowing what mic you use 🤔
Nothing speacial. A Sennheiser nock off from Ebay.
@@simracinggarage3026 the voice makes the magic not the mic!
Is there anyone importing these to resell stateside?
We are currently discussing the option to carry these in our new US store.
According to the site, they will ship to the US for about $90
@@sim-motion4140 I am an outside sales rep for an engineering sales company. I understand the line sheet dance. I hope your sales are headed up during this strange time. Home entertainment seems to be a category that could buck other economic trends.
@@KF2NationalKartcrg good points, my reason is primarily to replicate the feel and positioning overall as closely as I can to my ss 1le
They are connected to the PC via USB as individual components. PC handles the integration.
@@simracinggarage3026 ok, thanks, I'm about to order, or be put on the waiting list.
What car sound effects is that in the Intro? Sounds so sick
Think its an 991 RSR.
DoctorDagobert this sound was in the intro way before 991RSR came out
@@slatanek no man, this sound isnt that old. It was first used in the CSL Elite LC Pedals Review about two years ago. The 991 RSR was already present in 2015.
@@slatanek The 991 RSR actually came out 2013, even before Barrys oldest video.
@@DoctorDagobert oh, my bad then. time flys...
Do you know if these would mount directly to P1X pedal tray?
Yes, if you space the profiles on the tray properly.
I wish the clutch had a slightly longer travel. I like to race in road cars. I guess you could increase the travel by modifying the clutch with larger lobes. Otherwise these pedals look like sim racing porn.
not just sim.racing - I wouldn mind these sexies in my volvo :D
Huh so you can connect a load cell to the Bodnar board via the 3-pin headers meant for potentiometers or hall sensors, interesting
Bodnar LC-USB board support only one load cell. I'm sure those printed black boxes in throttle and clutch has Bodnar's Standalone Loadcell Amplifiers inside.
