1. Ashtray I come from an ancient time, when _every_ car had several of those - at least one each for front and back. Some cars even had one for each seat. 2. Gear lockout Again, pretty much _every_ car with automatic transmission had it. You _don't_ shift the gears with that. You lock out the higher gears, so the transmission won't shift up over the selected gear, e. g. when going downhill. Supports the brakes by preventing to get too fast. Was basically replaced by the "manual mode" in a lot of more modern automatic transmissions. 3. Heated windshield Now _that_ is an actually cool feature. Wish more car's had them. Fords (and Ford's Jaguars back then) had that option for over 20 years now, but they're still a rare feature today.
That’s actually really good info about the gear lockout, I had just got the car when I made that, and wanted to have some fun showing some of the stuff I thought was cool.
@@OscarHobson i own an S-Type 2.7D. Depends on the Automatic, if you go for a newer model you'll most likely have a ZF Automatic, which is a seriously reliable and well-made auto. Just remember to let the car be serviced properly.
Damn, those are far from hidden XDDD and sport mode just leaves it in certain gear longer, doesnt "allow" it to rev past 4k. And its interesting cuz you have almost the same steering wheel as mine but you dont have the nav screen, also you dont have traction control so i presume its a car after first facelift but with very few options, although someone put front defrost on it 🤔
@@lfanatic612HAH, i just got mine. 68k miles for 4300. and mine can turn off the traction control! Yours is cleaner than mine tho. I love the thing, I'll be making YT vids on it pretty soon

You're wrong but he's also wrong. Jaguar the word itself isn't pronounced Jag•You•Are it's pronounced Jah•gwaar. But the car brand pronunciation because it's from a British company is JagYouAre.
@@lfanatic612 I'd say keep saying it the way you are. In Britain they probably pronounce the U, but here in America most people just say it like the word, besides it sounds better that way. Their pronunciation for it I believe was just some sort of marketing slang.

Sport mode shifts way better too!
I have a X type jaguar 2005, but the satnav screen doesn’t work. What should I look for

How you open the trunk if the keys locked in the trunk
That is a great question, there is a trunk button on the outside so maybe that
what year is your Jaguar made? 2006? I'll be glad to hear your answer
Yeah it’s a 2006
@@lfanatic612Thanks man
the J Gate does more than just change the gears
you mean that you can make your transmision manual or what do you use 2 3 4 for?
I believe it is a lockout so that the car does not shift up
Mine got same thing on windshield. I like it
Yeah it’s so nice to have!!
What ever the price was it’s gonna be double for reliability but seriously I’m happy for you you got a jag
It’s an x type so it’s not that bad, as it uses a lot of ford parts and they are typically semi reliable.
Totally wrong. X Types are ridiculously reliable.
Its literally a ford mondeo
Can i see how it looks i have 1 myself
Edit: how many miles you got on it
That compartment is on my 2008 Ford focus...
Yeah parts bin
There's one by me with 94.7k miles it's a 2004 for 6,495
Really? I got mine for 7k with 74k miles, I love the thing
Are you sure about the year? Pretty sure that the last year for the X-type in North America was 2008...

Mine pings going up hills unless I let off the gas pedal. That’s engine knock. And prefers premium gas.
Manual states premium fuel not cheap crap . Loss of power among other things is what you get.
ded you use hunting dog to find it ???
