Just checking to see if dealer actually replaced my RAV4 hybrid 12V TrueStart battery

    325 CCA is pretty wimpy. Heck, anything less than 600 CCA isn't desirable IMO.

      This is a tiny battery but is big enough to start the hybrid car and keep the lights and AC going. Hybrids are easier on batteries as there is no conventional starter. The battery lasted 6 1/2 year and maybe more if I were to take a chance. If you can get the battery to fit inside the compartment with the brackets, you can buy a bigger CCA battery.

      @@wtam69 Correct me if I'm wrong, the 12V battery doesn't ever start the engine. It just starts the Hybrid system like you said, and the Hybrid system starts the engine when needed.

      @@Jay-fy7bn I believe that’s the case. I’ve used a 7Ah battery to boost start a Prius before. The Prius needed around 30 amps to start the system that starts the car. I believe my old battery would have lasted for another year but didn’t want to chance.
