Microsoft has made a threat - question is will it make good on it? It would be unprecedented to withhold security and bug fixes to unsupported PCs so we’ll see what the company actually does down the road.
@@NormanF62 I sincerely don´t think Microsoft is going to prevent users for having updates, however, I have a Ryzen 5 2500U and for now I am not updating until a large group of people can say they receive updates.
Guys when it comes to the "getting updates" part , I'm stuck on 46%. Been like this for hours. Is there a solution or am I just wasting my time. Btw I modified the .dll file manually. I copied every step.
This happens sometimes on windows 10 as well. Some hardware device drivers are not compatible so if you are using like for instance a older wifi USB adapter the drivers won't let install complete. So plug all devices except mouse and/or keyboard and try install again should fix most of the time.
7m19s - UEFI.. (not UFEI like you said!) Further onwards you're searching 'Down' from near the bottom of the file, so missing most of the UEFI entries.. You need to start the 'UEFI' search from the top of the file.. EDIT : Actually just removing the top (first) entry also seems to work..
Just reporting back to say that the install went well and more importantly the updates came through and they installed as well. One of the updates was for my graphics card, all other drivers loaded. I am impressed with this tutorial, with windows 11, and how easy this tutorial is once learned. Happy little camper here LOL
Thanks man appreciate it .. anyone who face a problem with the edited file ..you have to open it (via notepad) and check for any file with UEFI again and delete all of them (via Finder) as he mention in the video cause you may have more UEFI restriction files listed than he has in the video

Trying this method right now will update you guys if it works :> Edit: I have unsupported processor which is athlon 200ge and I successfully installed win 11. it's like the same as win 10 but if you're playing valorant you can't play it because of the problem with tpm. I get the following error message when performing an update from Win10 pro The Installation failed in the safe_os phase with an error during install_updates operation.
I think I may have found a solution to this - before installing windows make sure you click on how windows downloads updates (in blue) and choose not right now. That should skip the error. I’m still installing as I type this but looks like it’s skipped the updates for now.
This was a huge help. Sadly I had to disable my over clock which was stable but for some reason the installer kept crashing 😂 but it definitely runs better with windows 11

Glad I'm not the only one. Absolutely ridiculous instructions, like "hit here" how bout left or right click. Put the playback on half speed, it was the only way to follow along.
On most computers you need uefi mode enabled because secure boot is only in uefi and in genral uefi is faster (most old pc need a bios to run uefi mode no need to delete uefi as said)
@@a.pjuneja7552 uefi is faster? You sure? Never felt that when I converted my disk from MBR to GPT. In fact, it is slower now. Besides, my other decade older Dell Optiplex core 2 duo 4gb ram can run Windows 11 smoothly on Legacy disk. It can also start and shutdown faster compared to my daily driver PC with GPT disk and is running the same version of Windows 11.
I LOVE HOW HE FIRST MADE US FOLLOW HES INSTRUCTIONS TO DELETING ALL TMP CODES IN THE NOTE PAD. THEN WHEN COMPLETE TELL US HOW WE DONT HAVE TO DO IT AND THAT WE CAN JUST DOWNLOAD THE FILE IN DISCRIPTION 😂😂🤣 THIS HAS BEEN A HUGE HELP THANX MATE
Here is the problem doing an update for an unsupported PC. It has to do with TPM support. If you don't have that on your old computer (and it can't be turned on), and you do the update, you will get updates at first if they don't involve using TPM. As soon as they do, you no longer will get updates when they need TPM. So for those who lack TPM, this is a bad idea. Also be aware your machine will be slower when Windows 11 which you can live with because those older processors are not as fast in most cases.
Thanks Daniel for all your time and effort doing what you do. I wouldn't know where to start myself so it's good for the planet that we have people who care enough about us like YOU. Thanks mate.
For some reason I can’t keep all files and apps as the selection is faded for me and I really need my files and apps. This video showed all the steps and yes, I was able to install it but I had to downgrade again as all my apps went transferred such as my office 2016 which has no product key. Is there anyway you can help me?
@tips 2 Fix Your file didn't work for me, but figured out why. When you delete all UEFI commandlines in the dll-file, you forget to search upwards since you are at the bottom side of the file. Once I deleted the rest of the UEFI-commandlines in the file this issue was fixed. Great video btw! I am responding because now you might be able to help some more with an updated dll-file.

use Windows for it to work right. Windows 11 looks and acts more refined than the earlier versions of MS Windows. MS should have seen the problem long before
it was released. Thanks again for the work!

FINALLY got my Windows 11! After so many attempts and even messing up my PC completely, I FINALLY got it! Thanks to you!!! Great job, bro! Following you for good now! 🤘😁🙏
Works perfectly on my 10 year old dell Inspiron n5110 2nd gen i5 processor..😍
Thanks a lot
I have 1.61 processor so it is works on my PC please tell?
After I install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, is my pc not eligible for updates?
Because Microsoft said.
Yes it is I tried it on a spare disk and it updated normally now I'm going to do the thing on the video, but take into consideration you will need the TPM module for future updates minimum V1.4
maybe lie because i got defender update
Thank you very much. This video really helped and now my PC is running extremely fast on Windows 11 even on unsupported hardware.
Working perfectly in my unsupported pc though it took long time to install (installed on 6th Oct) losing nothing. Got security updates twice.
so non of the data and files on the laptop r gone after installing updates right? i have a HP laptop and i wanna download adobe illustrator but my laptop has only windows 8 pro so its not downloadingg :/
wow you make video that actualy works. I watch lot of videos like ´´how to install win11 on usuported pc´´ but they doesn´t work. Thank you
thank you , yes it works actually and its great , if you could share the video will be great , Blessings my friend and enyou windows 11
Thankyou for tutorial.
Do we get future updates using this method ?
Yes it works well , it showed an antivirus update and I did installed without any problem, so we will be able to get updates as well :)
@@Tips2Fix Thankyou for quick reply, now I will update from win10 to 11.. Thanks again 😇

BROOOOOOOO URE A LIFE SAVER I WANTED WINDOWS 11 SO BAD BUT THIS WORKED ON MEE I HAVENT UPDATED IT YET BUT ITS PREPARED ON MY LAPTOP THANKS MAN
Guys when it comes to the "getting updates" part , I'm stuck on 46%. Been like this for hours. Is there a solution or am I just wasting my time. Btw I modified the .dll file manually. I copied every step.
Yeah it's the same for me at 46% it's stuck
This happens sometimes on windows 10 as well. Some hardware device drivers are not compatible so if you are using like for instance a older wifi USB adapter the drivers won't let install complete. So plug all devices except mouse and/or keyboard and try install again should fix most of the time.
When it happens. Go to settings> windows updates> resume and pause the updates a few times. It will solve the problem.
7m19s - UEFI.. (not UFEI like you said!)
Further onwards you're searching 'Down' from near the bottom of the file, so missing most of the UEFI entries..
I removed every UEFI mention besides the "UefiSecureBoot" ones
Thanks! So far looking good. let you know if successful. Great presentation. best regards
Thank you , here its new video also

you have any solution to this problem?
Any one that can help for the solution please for the above error "0x C1900101 - 0x20017

Try uninstall the antivirus from your pc. it helped for me.

Working like a charm on my old unsupported HP laptop. Performed suggested steps with Internet on and after getting upgraded to W11, receiving windows updates as well. Many thanks! 😊
Did it delete any of your files after installation?
@@cns881 No it didn’t. I just went ahead with the default option while installing i.e. “Keep your files and programs” and it was smooth.
@@rohanfaye Gotcha thanks!
I followed all the steps, but it didn't work. I think it is patched now by Microsoft and we can no longer bypass it. :(

this guy is such a legend it helped me so much as i am typing im using windows 11
Are you able to download updates still?
The problem is, can we still run windows update after upgrade to 11 for unsupported device ?
yes, i managed to update my unsupported by doing this same method, this same installer window appeared when i was updating the windows dev version blocking me from the update, i opened the task manager clicked the update installer and went to open the location of file, modified the DLL and managed to update normally
!!! I'm using google translator!!!!
Trying this method right now will update you guys if it works :>
Edit: I have unsupported processor which is athlon 200ge and I successfully installed win 11. it's like the same as win 10 but if you're playing valorant you can't play it because of the problem with tpm. That's it everything works except that. I'm trying to find solution for valorant. If you ask if it's activated, yes it is if your win 10 is activated and you upgraded from it.

will it be oky with windows 10 home instead pro ?
@@lahirumadushanka5756 maybe, but my previous version is win10 pro so when it updates, it became win11 pro. But I don't have any problem except for valorant that can't play without tpm 2.0

Windows 11 is still activated with same license key? Btw thanks for the video 👍
Ya ! Windows 11 is an upgrade to Windows 10.
Of course - as long as you upgrade from the corresponding Windows 10 version.

Exactly same here, hopefully we can find a solution to this
I think I may have found a solution to this - before installing windows make sure you click on how windows downloads updates (in blue) and choose not right now. That should skip the error. I’m still installing as I type this but looks like it’s skipped the updates for now.
@@mrkhwateh2518 This worked for me.
This was a huge help. Sadly I had to disable my over clock which was stable but for some reason the installer kept crashing 😂 but it definitely runs better with windows 11

for me its the opposite the PC health check app says that my pc meets the requirements but in the Windows updates its says it doesn't support so i am kinda stuck xD
I have the beta and it says that

Glad I'm not the only one. Absolutely ridiculous instructions, like "hit here" how bout left or right click. Put the playback on half speed, it was the only way to follow along.
I was wondering, how does the UEFI affects the installation? As far as I know the only pain when installing Windows 11 are the TPM and Secure Boot
It doesn't. It's just an added cleanup because his PC is bloated. lol
Awesome video. Thanks for the tips. I just moved to Windows 11 Pro 22H2 from Win 10 pro.
Mind your business please. 😊👌
Thanks Daniel for all your time and effort doing what you do. I wouldn't know where to start myself so it's good for the planet that we have people who care enough about us like YOU. Thanks mate.
Thank you for your kind words , enjoy windows 11

Your file didn't work for me, but figured out why.
