Thank you for this. Worked almost exactly as described in the video. Finally, the "you are stuck at 10" message in Windows Update is gone. Everything working perfectly including updates.
You are a lifesaver. Just followed every single step as you pointed out, and it worked out exactly you said. I have the exact same desktop, so even the time to finish the job was on spot, in 30 minutes. I can't thank you enough. This video deserves a lot more views. Thank you so much for the video.
Thank you, very much for the instructions. I successfully installed Windows 11 Pro on my Custom Dell Optiplex 7010/9010, Intel Core I5-3470, 32GB Ram, and 1TB SSD. It works like a marvel. God bless you, Friend 🙂.
So I decided to download the Windows 11 23h2 pro version from Microsoft and install it on my 12 year old Acer Aspire 5750G laptop. All went smoothly, and it's not showing signs of problems 😀. I bypassed Microsofts compatability checker to allow the installation process. It has also been activated with Microsoft 😀. Not bad for a 12 year old laptop which specs are, Acer Aspire 5750G running i5-2450M 2.5GHz with turbo boost to 3.1GHz, 750GB HHD, 8GB DDR3 memory, it's nothing special by today's standards but when I bought it 12 years ago it was of good specification and it wasn't cheap!!
Thanks it worked Flawlessly. I have a Desktop that has an I7 7700 CPU ( Unsupported) but I Feel MS Is forcing ppl to buy new Machines when it’s not Needed . 😡 Thanks again . 😀
Everything newer than a Pentium 4 should support 64 bit but if you have a 32 bit OS installed you indeed can't upgrade. I don't expect this to ever be an option though
Thank you do much. It worked fine, i for got to choose English United States. And choose the international. But to my surprise!! It woked out well. Again ty 🙏🙏🙏
Super useful - looking to upgrade a HP ProDesk 600 G1 very soon and am certain this will help. Any suggestions for low profile videocards for some 1080p gaming? :)
GTX1650 is almost always the way to go for these kind of PCs. No need for external power and available in low profile. And even more important, still pretty decent for full-HD gaming. Good luck with the upgrade.
I performed this upgrade today and all seems like it went ok. Deleting the contents of the .dll file don't make the physical aspects go away, it simply deletes the barrier to installing Windows 11. Longer term I wonder what the effects of these physical attributes will be?
Pls my installation was successful but after that when I updated the windows and restarted, my computer can not display the home screen again.. so what do I do?
I launched Windows 11 in 2 old laptops: Toshiba Satellite P755 with intel 2nd gen and LG Gram with 7th Gen intel core. So far so good. Still worries exist for future updates.
Since the beginning of Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, updates come in just as on supported hardware. The only exception is major releases (22H2, 23H2,...) where additional action is needed.
It says Im banned from downloading the ISO file, also installing the Media, it required ATLEAST 8GB free space on my disk C, I make more then 8GB of free space and when installing it, after a while says I dont have enough space there. 😢
Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that will not be possible as this is a real hardware requirement. It would involve changes in the source code to not use that instruction or some kind of emulation. I would not count on bypassing this so I think you will need to stay on 23H2 if you have an CPU that is >15 years old.
Great ! So this is just a matter of deleting the content of a dll file and that’s it, the hardware limitations are gone. Just incredible from Microsoft ! Not eco-friendly at all…
not working for me ,still flags up unsupported hardware when starting install ,appraiserres.dll 178kb modified and displaying 0 kb after. I do get windows decline or accept which I accepted install starts but then I get unsupported hardware flag
Appreciate the informative video. I have one computer like the one in your video running win 10 home. I"ve read that the end of security updates for win 10 will be in 2025. AS of now I don't use this computer much so I thought I'd wait. I've seen other videos about using rufus and a downloaded iso file could do the same upgrade as well as save all apps and files. What I like about your video is that you deleted that code in the sources folder without using rufus. Is that doing more easily what that rufus app does?
Did wot u said. from win 10 pro us to win 11 pro us. starts installing till 31% then the whole process simply vanishes - I had task manager open (after several tries) doesn't even restart once just process is killed. I removed all unnecessary USB & stuff.any thoughts?
Hello. Regarding the updates part on the last portion of the video, does it also apply to major updates like going from the current 23H2 to the upcoming 24H2? Thanks.
Most likely for a major update, another kind of workaround will be required. This was also the case for 22H2 and 23H2 so far. I'll be following up on that :)
Well I tried, twice. But I get an error and it rolls back to Windows 10 right at the end. The error is "0x8007001F - 0x3000D The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation". So I am stuck in Windows 10 for now. The machine is a Lenovo Thinkcentre M Series. I hope you might have a further suggestion.

Does it work with a Dell Optiplex 3050 SFF with a Core I5-6500, 2 8GB sticks of DDR4 2133 MHz RAM, and a NVMe SSD without any issues? Do you need to download and drivers for it?
Should work fine. If you are upgrading from Windows 10, there is no need to pay special attention to drivers normally. In case you do a fresh install, 99% of the cases, all required drivers will come in through Windows Update to my experience.
Hello, how much disk space does windows take after the upgrade? Could upgrading break any programs i have installed? What if there are no existing drivers for my APU that are exclusively designed for Windows 11?
Not sure about the disk space, I didn't really pay attention and I think it also depends on the starting point (which updates are already installed, etc). Most, if not all, Windows 10 drivers work fine for Windows 11 so the chance you run into this is veyr small.
Hello I have a dell laptop with windows 7 32 bit. Microsoft has not released Windows 11 32 and I can't install it and I can't upgrade my laptop to Windows 7 64 bit. Can you make a video about this? Thankful
Upgrading from a 32bit version will not be possible but you could do a fresh installation. Just make sure you take a proper backup of the files and applications you need. You can find how to do this over here: ruclips.net/video/7uY3cVxrLP8/видео.html

My bad. Sorry @jensd_be. I CANCELLED the install and re-did using your appraiserres.dll hack. Success! Thanks. BTW, other ppl's instructions don't use this hack and use the setupprep.exe to install the SERVER product. You instructions use SETUP (with the modified appraiserres.dll) worked like a charm. Many thanks.
All minor updates do come in but a major feature release (like 22H2, 23H2) typically does require some extra effort. I did videos on all of these from the beginning, if you're curious, just take a look at the one I did to upgrade from 22H2 to 23H2, it's not very difficult.
