    [on my husband's account, it's the one logged into the main family comp lol]...29 weeks today and baby boy turned head down YESTERDAY! He's been transverse the entire second trimester lol. I did that forward leaning aversion while he was having a busy spell and moving a lot, and by about 5pm the next day, he was facing anterior and head down! So proud of my little dude. He's been such a helpful little dude. In our anatomy scan, it was only 15 minutes long because he turned and moved in every possible way for the sonographer to get all her pictures lol She was beginning to look at the heart and she mentioned that it's difficult sometimes because of position. Well, my daughter, we nearly had to come back--that anatomy scan took like an hour and a half. With our son, 15 to 20 mins max lol he just did all the right positions hahaha.

      Wow that's awesome! Im 29 weeks as of yesterday. I had to go back 3 times for this stubborn lil girl, my boys were easy. They had to push on my belly,, had me cough, do jumping Jack's, she will not move when she is curled up and comfy. I can already tell she is going to give me a hard time often but that's ok I don't mind a challenge. But some great news is she has flipped head down so as long as she stays that way I'm a happy mama! I've already learned to pick my battles with this one. Lol

    My Obstetrician recommends open knee chest position with a towel below your bump for 30 minutes a day or as long as you can hold it. I usually break my up into either two 15 minutes cycles or one 15 minutes cycle and a nice walk. When finishing with this position I would suggests doing the cat/cow pose to help relieve any tension in the shoulders-mid back area.

    Also, why should the forward leaning inversion be limited to only 30 seconds? Thanks for the great resources!

      This position can lower your blood pressure as it concentrates blood flow to your upper body, which can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting if done for too long.

    My doula shared this video with me for reference. Which one do you prefer I work on the most for my little one who insists on being spine up and his face is away from the examiner?! He moved from head on the left looking down to head on the right but all snuggled with his hand and knees curled up in his face. He only moves a little when I play classical music. And if I sleep on my right side I can feel him flipping all over the place. I try to sleep on the left with my pregnancy pillow but my hips hurt.

      Rotating through all the positions regularly really is the best way to get babe to move! He may decide to stay snuggled in that same position, and all you really can do is stay active, flexible, and changing positions regularly.

    Hi Genevieve, can you recommend a non PVC exercise/ balance ball?

    • @mamanatural

      There are SO many options if you search “non PVC exercise ball”, especially on Amazon!

      @@mamanatural you know, lots do come up, and are still PVC, just say non-toxic PVC, which seems impossible to me. Is there a particular brand you know that's made of rubber or something more natural?

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe pregnant women should also consider exercise ball exercise for pregnancy.

    When in pregnancy do you recommend starting these exercises?

  • @LaBambasgirl
    @LaBambasgirl 2 года назад

    My first baby wedged himself in a breech position until close to labor... it took a lot of everything to get him moved. Anyway, I did a bunch of squats with him, wonder now if that’s why! He was in the wrong position and that just made him more comfortable and snug down in my pelvis.

    • @mamanatural
      @mamanatural  2 года назад

      Squats can get baby lower in the pelvis BUT sometimes babies just do what they’re gonna do as far as positioning! Your babe may just have preferred that position 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Wouldn't being on all fours tear your linea alba?

    • @mamanatural
      @mamanatural  2 года назад

      No! There’s no tearing, only separating of the muscles. And separation happens when doing sit ups or crunches, or any exercise that activates the abdominal muscles.
