RIDE OR CRY
Totally awesome video, especially for those of us who are considering buying a TW200!
Great to see a proper off-road review where the TW is ridden to its max by a decent rider. Awesome commentary, the perfect blend of objective opinion, technical fact, humor and profanity. Great job boys.
I heard somewhere, probably a RUclips video, that Yamaha described the TW200 as "farm equipment" in their design documents. They were designed to be marketed to farmers, not in the US but Asia, Africa, South America, etc. Probably offered a small trailer as an option. It is basically a two-wheeled tractor.
Seems suuuuper beginner friendly. The stability alone seems so damn appealing.
My first bike was an '82 XT550. I loved hopping onto a 2018ish TW200 and seeing the exact same odometer and speedometer unit. If it ain't broke don't fix it seems to be the TW motto from Yammie.
His laugh is enough for me to want one
Most honest review of a tw ever lol
.."giggle giggle, ugh ouch, giggle giggle"
Nate Guerrero oh yeah we are 100% authentic 🤘🏻
@@80VDualSport I really enjoyed it, thanks guys
@@natimuss_plumbarius1457 I am your #200 SUB!
This is one of the most entertaining videos on youtube
The fun factor with the TW is just incredible.
Except for the audio only coming through on one side of my headphones, this was an awesome fun and funny vid to watch! That area and those trails look a loot like the Land Between the Lakes area in my hometown. Long live the TW!
Just saw this on the Facebook page. Nice video. I love my Tdub. I run my tires at 10 to 12psi off road too. What a difference that makes.
Ridge Top yeah those tires make up for the lacking suspension for sure ! Thanks for the sub!
That vinyl wrap is fire, my friend!
Omg i was dying 😭 when you launched it. Great video man
Awesome vid guys. Like the way your buddy filmed you riding to let us see how it rolled. Good job switching back and forth with the cameras each time you guys were talking - always a joy editing that in🙄 . So your saying your carrying more firepower than horsepower when your on a TDub 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hope to see more TDub stuff 👏
Thanks for the love ! We def put a lot of time in to make the videos fun for everyone. More to come !
Just placed a deposit for the 2022 twd. Can't wait to ride. Thanks for the awesome video.
Wondering if you got it and ride it ?
I'm convinced. Getting one
😂the crash appeared to be in slow motion, even though it was not. Funniest bike video ever.
Great video Richie!! Been waiting for another one for a while.
The TW was originally marketed as agricultural equipment, hence why it doesnt do what normal motorcycles do. It was meant for farms and ranches and travel over any surface.
So covid has insured that I'm not buying my Streetfighter V4s this year... so plan b was a dual sport and the idea of buying a fun bike like this new for less than the cost of the exhaust on the Ducati has appeal.
Fun video but I’m worn out just watching the ride. 😆 My trail speed is like......roll along looking at stuff. Roll some more stop and take a picture. Stop again for a sandwich😆🏍
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟You really out that TDub to the test! And it proved it could take everything you could dish out! It's an awesome little bike
Watching you ride up that steep hill and get launched was PRICELESS!
Great video. I loved the fall
Lol you guys make a great show. "Uh oh! Wearing out my welcome!" lololol Great stuff thanks for a good review.
Love the punk rock disco rainbow camo!!!!
Well, I just had to do it... I am your #200 SUB!
Yesssssss !!!! Thank you
I'm giving away my TW200 today. With 25,260.1
odometer miles. To a younger adult who asked
if he could have it after I shared my ride history.
It has had Interstate, State, County, and private
road use. US Forest Service and tree farm dirt
roads. Cross-country also. In all between British
Columbia and Monterey County in California.
Ride was fitted with a machete for my first long
road trip (+2,000 odometer miles). But retired it
after beating off a pair of muggers ; pulled to a
Texaco Station afterward spattered with that
fresh blood and my late evening pump jockey
was agog but pretended he wasn't interested.
I've been primarily using it for cave exploration
(+50 years with: nss@caves.org). Best road trip
in that regard is seen using Google Earth for
Mount McGuire off Chilliwack Lake Road, British
Columbia. In recent years that road access has been
cut in half after people were trapped atop it during
an unexpected snow storm. I went up to far up end
of roadway and a tad further often. As the mountain
has caves for me to discover and explore. My TW200
always carried a shovel and wood saw. Both helpful
in karst digs, removing road obstruction found when
going home, and of course any thugs. Not bear. I've
open carried a Glock .357 on ride with wildlife issues.
My best cross country was over lava flows in Modoc
National Forest, about in the middle of no place in
particular, where there were no roads. No trails or
anybody else after 5 miles into it. GPS Navigation.
To locate and explore Lava Tubes. Was able to ride
into one. Bumpy with loose slabs that fell off a high
black ceiling. Halted by thick ice inside with a hot
August day outside. At entry a cool draft out of the
lava convinced me to go throw the bedroll down into
my comfort zone. Later on in Washington State it
took me miles up a snow covered trail toward glaciers.
Why our TW200 boys or girls ride a TW200 aimlessly
with no purpose other than acquiring buttock blisters
is a complete mystery to me. Hope this gives them
a clue. Didn't buy my pack mule for speed. For that
I purchased a 2008 Suzuki DR650SE and it now has
more odometer miles than my TW2OO. Probably
because I did not have to grow a pair afterward while
using everything the Yamaha TW200 allowed. p.s,
I ride wearing gold/red embroidery colors of the
Canyon Riders M/C. Because their President helped
me get my ride out of a location where commercial
hauling refused to visit. Their 4x4 and trailer took
a beating pushing our way into a dark rain forest.
My DR650 was hands down, the worst offroad capable bike i ever rode. I even tried tires and sprocket gearing....just to topheavy and road speed geared.
Primo Victoria!
I love my 196cc tractor. Treat it like the piece of agricultural equipment it was meant to be and it will put a smile on your face, even if you're chin deep in cow shit.
😂😂😂😂😂
That crash at 9:41 has to be one of my favorite TW200 clips ever.. haha
I hope you guys keep rockin' the TDUB!!!
Great video. Hilarious. New TW owner
Yes! 😆Tdub crazy!!!!
hahaha nice man those are some really cool trails, great video! Just joined the T dub club today. I'm a little short and i like to ride slow so this bike is perfect. but I would like to get a better fork just riding it on my driveway was jarring, I'll try lowering the tire pressure tomorrow though. "its fuckin monster jam dude" lmao
Oh yeah, lowering the pressure is key 👌🏼
thats a nice bike not gonna lie
Why did you put a tie-dye t-shirt on my TW sir?
If, half the suspension on the bike is the big tires? Then.. Running the tires at 42psi isn’t going to help the anemic TW shocks. A good upgrade for that bike I think would be to convert the rims to accept tubeless and run either a tubeless conversion kit w/some flat sealant. Or.. Run the Tubliss system. Any which way you decide to go.. Running lower pressures to take advantage of the ballooney tires is gonna be a win.
That and.. Finding a replacement for the rear shock 👍
I need that vinyl wrap for my tdub
I like the wrap
Fun little bikes. 60 mph is about that max speed on these little things. I once hit 63 tho with the wind behind me 🤣🤣
Have you tried adjusting the rear suspension?
That's what I was thinking, he buys it, and drives straight to the trails, no break in, no adjustments for heavy rider, and then complains about shit that is easily taken care of with the most basic understanding of a bike, smh, wonder why he has only 167 subs
Lol break in.....mmmokay
I'm currently torn between the tw200 , xt 250 or dr200s.
Me too. In the end I went with the tw200. I just like the look and it's a legend of a bike. It's special.
PRIMO VICTORIAAAA
Looks like a great trail bike. I have a 78 Honda XL250S , but looking for a second bike.
Amazing at trail and decent enough at shooting around town.
Epic crash.
What front tire you running?
What bag is complimenting the enduro tank bag on the tank?
Looked like a Wolfman tank bag from the yellow logos - they build serious stuff that doesn't break the bank - but enough about Mosko Moto heheh
The other bags are a set of atv tank sale bags.
Pretty sure I heard Primo Victoria in there
THROUGH THE GATES OF HELL!
Psst! You're running a farm and trail bike through a gauntlet made for a serious offroad dirt bike, just so you know.
R E A D Y O R N O T H E R E I C O M E J E S U S
those side by sides really mess up the trails
That looks like high water...
I have slight ticking sound when my tdub is at idle...is that normal? Seems to be coming from engine??? Only 350 miles on it? Or am I being paranoid?
Sounds normal, hard to say without hearing it, but most of the time if it’s something bad you would know for sure. Make sure there’s oil in it and ride on.
Check the valve clearance (as the manual states), but ticking is normal. They are a little noisey, but typical for an air cooled engine.
Did u actually buy this n then actually drive it like this haha
The T dub will launch you off like a stubborn donkey, it is a farm machine not a dirt bike. Although it tries so hard to be. However it is the perfect beginner motorcycle.
What com system you running and how you record the audio? Turned out great!
Thanks ! Glad you enjoyed it, we use a combination of go pro cameras and Sena brand coms on our helmets. Took a lot of moving mics around to get it just right and it still messes up a lot. I have the sena 20s evo and GoPro hero 7black.
80V DualSport cool, thanks! Being able to have a conversation while riding with your buddy is really nice!
Ben Henry yeah I always recommend people have them, they make riding safer as well
What off-road park is this?
Not an off-road park, private local property
High Water...New Albany IN...my back yard!...can’t believe I haven’t run into up there yet!
Do you recommend tw or xt
Depends on what your wanting it for , tw200 for everything under 55 mph , if your wanting to cruise at highway speeds get the xt
Yeah I have owned the xt225, xt250, and the tw. My 250 was the carb model that being said the 225 is my winner (for the things I do) .
When I ride strictly offroad I let my tires down to 5psi
What 😂
Next time I will try 8-10. ...5 was a little low.😄
