What you are studying isn't Portuguese, but its lesser developed Brazilian dialect. If you decide on keeping learning this one, it's fine, but I'll let you know learning European Portuguese will both grant you how to interact with Portuguese and Brazilian people. (Learning Brazilian will make it a little difficult for you to interact with European Portuguese people)

Good news for you is that practicing Portuguese has one awesome thing that I can assure you, as a Brazilian: everyone from Brazil tends to be so willing to communicate with foreigners, it doesn't matter your level of proficiency. So, that means you can freely engage into conversations in Portuguese and (most) people will be so happy to chat and assist you to understand things that you don't have to worry about making mistakes or feeling silly.
But your pronounciation is pretty good! You'll be fluent in no time!
My pronunciation is good but I can’t understand what people are saying. I’ve been studying for 10 years and I’ve visited Brasil 18 times and I practice every day with my girlfriend and have for 7 years but I can’t read or converse and I have to translate everything into English to understand. Portuguese words don’t mean anything to me when I see or hear them for some reason. Even basic words have to be translated in my head.

Hey Anna! I found your channel a couple years ago when you posted a video about how to study Spanish! You helped me so much that you have no idea; I was super lost before than but you really taught me how to immerse myself in the language. A couple years later I would say I’m a high intermediate Spanish speaker that has had the opportunity to spend a year living in Mexico and speaking Spanish daily. Today I’m about three months into studying Portuguese and I’m using a lot of the same techniques which are bringing me a lot of success so far; it’s beyond cool to see you studying it at the same time. Keep the the great work! Best of luck to you on your journey.

I'm Brazilian and I'm learning Spanish now so see you studying helps a lot to new tips about how to study, thanks a lot. Anyway, don't worry a lot about your accent, as a native who was born at South (sulista) I can say that my accents are completely diverse, some words I speak with Carioca accent, others with sulista accent, Paulista accent, some people have a very defined accent but others have a huge mix and that's alright
I'm trying to keep that in mind studying Spanish because I've listen to a lotta songs from Colombia and PR so I have a strong accent from those areas but I'll study Spanish in barcelona that has a different accent, so probably will be mixed again and that's okay kkk

Nice to see that you are learning Portuguese. Sorry to ask but way? A few people do it.
Some considerations and tips (sounds at the end):
>Chose one accent and learn it first or you'll go crazy;
>Check for English vocab with roots in Latin or French. Grand chance it will be quite similar to a Portuguese word.
>Considering you speak some Spanish try to focus more on pronunciation in Portuguese because majority of vocab is almost the same but pronunciation is quite different (80% vocab is equal).
>There are some google channels about grammar on RUclips too.
Some letter sounds considering the majority of Brazilian Portuguese accents.
R in the beguining of the word is like H - Rato = Hato (Rat)
RR in the middle of a word is also an H - Carro = Caho (car)
R in the middle or end of a word is an R - Caro = Caro (expensive / dear)
S = most of time S
SS=s
Ç = S
C = K /S =
Z = Z - Zebra
Z at the end = S - Raiz=Hais (root)
X = sh / Z - Caixa (box), Exemplo - ezemplo
About vowls
A = A
Á = open vow sound
 = closed vow sound, similar to schwa in English
à = Pay attention with the "tio" (~) over As and Os
O = regular O (do not say OU like in english)
Ô = closed O
É = з in Russian
Lh = Lь - Trabalho (job) = Trabalьo or trabalю (something like it)
J = ж
I am 22 years old = Eu tenho vinte e dois anos (I have 22 years)
Pronunciation like almost Spanish, but V with V sound like in English and dos is dois with an i in Portuguese.

This reminds me to focus more on my German, I usually just do duolingo, watch easy german and use "Niko's Weg", seeing your video makes me realize how much complicated your study session is, but yours is the more effective way though, it's very interesting to watch other people learning languages and seeing their own way of learning it, cannot say it doesn't motivate me to learn German so keep up the good work Anna, at the pace you're at right now, you might end up learning about a dozen or hell maybe even 30 by the time you turn 30, insane!! 🙌🏼🤌🏼😅

Está puxando muito no xiado. Está parecendo mais o português de Portugal. O carioca faz o chiado mais no final das palavras , no meio é mais normal. No dia a dia, trabalhando com o pessoal não tem tanto essa de sotaque carioca, chagamos a esquecer que a pessoa nasceu e vive na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. ( trabalho remoto). Tente só relaxar e falar normal, depois quando estiver no Rio é que vai entender melhor como que eles falam em si. Aqui no Brasil temos direnças entre cidades até o estado do Rio não é diferente.
9:30 yes that would be assishtir (but that is the same for every brazilian accent. the carioca accent here would only show in the letter R at the end, which would sound like an english H)

Nobody needs to learn brazilian if they speak spanish.
People learn brazilian after spanish - its more of the same trash - because is easy, just to be exalted as polyglot.
You could do yourself a favor and learn a language that enriches you with new paradigms and ways of thinking the communication.
I wanna learn portuguese from Portugal because my bf is from there!! 🫶🏼
