If I visit d .r should I convert the 2500 to pesos or should I just use my us currency cause 2500 should last me 7 days or 8days if vacation yes?

Hola Ryan! It depends, if you're staying in an All-Inclusive and want to have money for tips then US dollars is fine (make sure you bring singles), if you're staying in an Airbnb then you can bring your dollars and exchange them in a house of exchange (there are many in the Punta Cana/Bavaro area).
