I know this is meant to be funny but we should be all scared knowing that there's a section of our population that seriously believe all of this nonsense. Well said. It's so unfortunate that a narcissist like Donald Trump can so effectively impose his own reality onto others, on such a massive scale. It's one thing for a narcissist to manipulate their family members or friends, but this guy is doing it on a national level. The sheer level of destruction this yields has been staggering to observe as it unfolds, and it makes me hyper aware of the impermanence of governments and nations. They fail all the time throughout history, and we may just be alive to live through a huge historical failing. I hope I'm wrong, but this sort of outcome is what I'm trying to emotionally prepare for.

As a Wisconsinite I can confirm this is the caliber of thought in most of rural Wisconsin. Pretty much any small town will have some people like this. It’s infuriating as I have family in those towns and visiting them is just stressful at this point.
