1983 was such an amazing year for me and it was mostly because of these incredible toys. I could go on and on with my favorite memories of this year in particular but I’ll spare you all from my rambling. My family all pitched In and got me the G.Joe HQ for my birthday. I was so surprised and excited to see it that I literally passed out. This and so many more wonderful memories came to mind watching this video. Great job Ken and Hans!!! 👏

1983 was the first year I bought Joes off the rack as a kid, so it holds a special place in my heart. Such a great lineup, and those swivel grips really saved some broken thumbs!

In my opinion, GiJoe was the Greatest 3 3/4 Action Figure line ever made. Star Wars could've been, but they didn't have the swivel arm or knee bend articulation. Remco American Defense, Sgt. Rock, Crystar & even Lanard Corps were all great, just needed more interesting characters. However, Corps did get better with the Construction, Emergency and Firefighters Figures.👍🏾

Started getting GI Joe after this year and didn't have any of these (until recently), but I have fond memories of the Swamp Masher. It was a fun vehicle. I would put Tunnel Rat on the back, but didn't have Muskrat to drive it.
