Good morning Mr. Jeson excuse my English. I congratulate him on the advice from him. I would like to know where I can buy a RAM like the one that appears in your videos with that type of bedroom. I need to know to do HotShot… ..
you need to think about adding air ride on the rear ends of that Dodge beats the daylight out of killing your back going down the road, I did it to my F550 and will do it to the F-600 I'm going to get
I believe that air ride 5th wheel will make a huge difference. I talked to a guy who said he had a air ride 5th wheel, suspension and trailer and he said that it seemed to be to much air as the truck would float all over the road.
Heck ya . back in action just littrly text u on Instagram and was asking about when your coming back to work lol great video bro stay safe and good bless
I was surprised today. I got 11 mpg in the mountains. Might be the way I was driving or maybe there was no wind today, but I was getting 7-8 yesterday going against the wind. That sucked.
Question, you're showing a GCWR of 49,500. I know the standard GWCR of the 84CA 4.89 gear ratio 5500 is 43,000. Is the extra 6500lbs because of the frame extension?
I can’t keep from admiring your rig it’s AWSOME and you must be soooo happy with how it has turned out. I’ve been watching your videos for a few months and have learned so much. Thank you for all your great information and knowledge. I’m new upcoming hotshoter and should be ready to roll with my own authority first part of august. I have a F350 DRW 4x4 and a F550 DRW 4x4 with air ride and considering a 5th wheel air hitch for the 550 so wondering if you have any recommendations on which one and would you mind telling me which one you purchased and how much you paid for it Thanks and drive safe out there !
Nice man. That low ratio will help big time on fuel. I’d start with that truck first and honestly, I think that 1 is the best bet of nothing else is wrong with it.
Thanks for the response. I just found your video by mistake. Do you have a video of the inside of the sleeper? Also I have a CDL. What is the max weight you can load with a duelly. I drive semi in the oilfield.
No I don’t have the interior video yet but 1 is coming. As for max weight, loading will be whatever the trailer is rated at, pulling will be what the max tow capacity on the truck is. My trailer is rated at 30k and weighs about 10k so I can load 20k without going over my rating
I saw another video of a hotshot driver with a truck similar to yours. He said he gets about 8 mpg. So my question is why not go with a used semi. You pay less for the truck. You've got more room especially in the sleeper and you get similar fuel mileage but you can carry more weight and make more money.
Nice setup. What is the second tank for or did you get a gas generator and diesel fuel tank? And if that’s the U.S. flag behind the sleeper may want to cover it so it doesn’t get trashed
Your own authority means all the money is yours... Also means all the paperwork, taxes, fees, insurance, bullshit from DOT and every asshole on the road... That and more are yours as well. And don’t forget about ALL the liabilities should anything every go wrong. Not a bad thing if your business minded person, but for a small fee of usually around 10-25% of a load, you can run under someone else’s numbers and focus on driving and maybe owning another business online or back home. Maybe start a RUclips channel. Being that I have my own authority, the paperwork, finding loads, and book keeping alone takes up a good few hours of my time every week. It puts a lot of strain on my other business. If I could do it again, I’d probably try to find someone to lease under, but the issue there is actually finding someone to hire someone with zero experience, at least in my case.
