Hard to believe this body style of Durango was released 20 years ago. It still like an early 00's concept car. Gorgeous example of of a 2nd gen Durango, love that blue with the chrome.
I love the classic look of the gen 2 and would love to pickup a cheap AWD hemi version. I had a hand me down 2006 4.7L V8 Durango that was bullet proof until the transmission died past 300k.
picked up an 07 aspen hemi awd limited with even more options and rear air bags for towing for 1k$. has 180k miles on but it's a lot of car for the money. I intend to put some money on it and drive it to the grave
Where are you located? I live in northern California, a small town called Cottonwood... I would like to find another 2004 Dodge Durango... if the price is right... I have a red one... that blue one is gorgeous... there is a nother one just like mine in town...
I have an 06 hemi. I bought it in 2011. I've had to rebuild the front end and do brakes and tires belts and idler but thats all mechanically. The interior upholstery cracked and the body rust is the worst I've ever had. The hemi is perfect.
I use to buy From individuals or fixer uppers & sell them. I don't do it anymore, it's not a good income. Too many low ballers. So I've owned 3 Durango's. 2 05's, & 1 09 that I have Now. The hemi had the biggest issues. Problem after problem, & gas guzzlers. I will never get Hemi again. 👎
I've had mine for 6 years now. Never had a problem with the hemi. Just regular maintenance. Lots of power and reliable. It does drink tho, but what comparable v8 doesn't?
@@jakerboymoose yea I agree, my fault, a maintenance on the dash came up, looked like radiator. I filled it but didn't realize it had a clog. The engine Blew after few months! This was years ago when I knew nothing about cars, now I know more.
I can’t say I’ve had that issue, one time I did have to repair the remote because the metal “C” inside that the battery fits in came apart on one side & had to be soldered. ( apparently, it was from dropping the remote)

Lol that’s some life somebody got out of it
This is the most beautiful 2nd generation Durango I have ever seen.
06 that we sold at 375k miles.
Beet vehicle ever
Love my 04
WOW! Your mom had great taste for mods!
Great overview of the truck. I've also own a almost similar one - Chrysler Aspen and it's just brilliant compared to today's automotive industry!
I have 2005 ,70,000 miles power steering pump, and ac compressor and tires , like brand new not for sale
Great SUVs except for the weak connecting rods on the 04 and 05 models.. mine blew at 75k miles
Great history and description. The spare tire tire where ir should go and what size does it have?

The surprising fact is I’ve never seen these durangos in my life

I LOVE THE REGULAR 3.7, 4.0, & 4.7. BUT STAY AWAY FROM HEMI!

Have you ever had a problem with 2004 Dodge Durango with a key fob not working and can't be reprogrammed... and the horn will go off for no reason?

We had that. Only way was to manipulate the ignition contact. Can start mine with a spoon now😂 But nobody expects it so no way it will get stolen
If this gen would have had the ram pickup or srt nose.. 😮
Look up 08 dodge durango custom body kit and 2nd row 4th or 5th Pic shows u how good it could look with a front end swap🔥
Love them. They do drink gasoline by the bucket though
hideous steering wheel cover but nice otherwise
😂
