Yeah that gunshot wound case is a wild one, and its background music is pretty unsettling. These games have aged quite a bit since their release but playing them at a younger age at the time, there were moments that felt pretty damn real. That case in particular was one that stuck with me the most.
I've also grown to appreciate more of the acting in this game, especially that little monologue from your commander before you are promoted to a full paramedic. There are a handful of actors that got their big break years after appearing in these games (Zachary Quinto, Ann Dowd, etc) but it's a shame many of them never got that recognition, it's a pretty competitive field I guess.

Alright, I'm not the expert in this game, but comparing the procedures for the electrocution case vs. the gunshot case, they're exactly the same. It looks as if they just copy-pasted the steps for the gunshot case for the electrocution. They kept mentioning the nonexistent gunshot wounds on Haugen's chest, and didn't instruct you to look for the actual entry and exit points. Because looking at the fingers of the left hand, there are obvious entry points. I don't know where the exit point would have been. Possibly it would have to be located by looking at the files.
And guess what else? I pulled up the Russian playthrough to compare the two and in that one, the chief complaint and diagnosis were changed to "electrocution"! In the review, it is revealed that some of the unnecessary steps like the occlusive dressing were skipped. Didn't add anything extra like bandaging the entry and exit wounds, but it did do a decent cleanup job.

@@PineCreamCone Yeah, because looking at the Taylor cases, they've gotten the diagnoses in the right order ("Diabetic Emergency" before "Head Trauma"). There's a chance they were swapped accidentally in the original. I can't say that they fixed all the wrong ones, but most of them did get corrected.

I hope the Russian version of these games are preserved. They fixed up a lot of errors in the script, so it's interesting to see!

I've seen some pretty glitchy stuff in these videos, but what looks like they copy/pasted an entire case over another one here has to take the case. Whatever that electrocution case was supposed to consist of, it feels like we didn't see it at all!
Speaking of the copied case, the gunshot one is certainly memorable but boy could it have been executed better. The PDA and fellow paramedic couldn't seem to decide whether this guy was basically dead already or still had a fighting chance; I think a more unified tone would have made that one more effective. And while the plot twist certainly brings the shock value, when you think about it a little bit it's really a quite silly implementation.
Appreciate the video as always, but it felt like the game itself missed the mark this time around.

@@eauxpsi.fourgott6911 Yeah it definitely seems like a huge oversight. I noticed burn marks on the model’s fingers, which we were probably supposed to look at.
The thing that is frustrating about these Legacy games is that they have such a great concept, and seem to be made with passion and a vision, but the execution just ends up being a bit sloppy. And yeah, I had to admit I chuckled at that cutscene a little because the editing was just so silly. Granted, it’s an old FMV game on a shoestring budget, but still. This is a bit of an intentionally goofy game at times, but I don’t think that was what they were going for in the moment. I feel like Code Blue has had the strongest cutscenes and tone so far.

Did you know about Case 22 before going into this? Before you started this series, I saw a cutscene reel and so I knew this was coming up, so now I'm curious. Also that's quite the music selection considering that nothing else in the series ever got that nightmarish.

Just a heads up folks, Case 26 in the next part is NOT pretty. I don't blame you if you get choked up over that. I found it in the files myself and it messed me up.
As for good news, there's unused dialogue for Case 25 that tells you that you saved the boy's life.
I'm also surprised they mentioned Tylenol, that name is actually trademarked. IIRC, 3D Body Adventure had it mentioned until it was cut in the Windows port.
