I’ve had my ZS EV for a month now and this video finally showed me what that button was for thanks!!
This video is really helpful. What I use to do is pull the electric handbrake while still on D mode after I have stopped completely then when I press the accelerator, brake will disengage and the car will move. This is a better way of doing it. Thank you, Jerry!

This is one of the reasons I picked MG ZST, I love the auto hold function.
I think every modern car has that.
@sammy2954 some budget cars don’t.
My advice would be to disable auto-hold when trying to accomplish more challenging manoeuvres (parking requiring finer movements) as it makes the vehicle sticky and puts you in a position where you need to apply more foreward or backwards momentum than you would like in order for the vehcile to recognise you don't want the auto-hold control to hold the vehicle, if that makes sense.
I agree with you completely, I often park in tight spaces (London😅) my current car does the same (not an MG, yet) it releases the clutch and it jumps back/forth quite a bit when I tap the accelerator, not good if you're trying to not tap someone elses car for example. 😂
How do I know if my my automatically releases the parking brake?

Hi, thanks for the comment. There is no such a lesson on using the transmission. It is really up to your driving condition. Try to tap the accelerator gently from the start.

You could help. I’ve been given this car and it’s driving me mad … I was at some traffic lights today, when I was tapping on the accelerate peddle, the car would not move . Why was this? Any help would be great 😊😊

Is it not bad for the brake system, brake pad are always touching rotors when you hit the gas pedal. Is it not better to hold brake pedal just before you move release the button then touch gas pedal.
It is not bad. This system has been on cars for many years.
My issue is the car seems to roll back on hills - this should not happen in an auto esp with this auto hold thing on

Yes. You can adjust using your steering + and - button when GPS is giving you guidance or change it in the settings. Check this video:

Hi ..do we need to engage hill descent to enable auto hold feature. Also the traction control needs to be on or off for city driving. Whenever I put the car on parking brake the rear brake makes some noise...it is natural or some issue
No need to do hill descent like the video explained. Traction control need to be on with no light on the dash. Normal for the brake.
Can the auto hold be always active or do you to manually activate it every time you start driving.
yes it will memorize your settings.
Do you know? How do I modify the chair frame height?
Because the lowest setting of the electric chair is still too high.(My body height is 180cm) thanks.
Unfortunately I don’t know. Need to talk to an aftermarket seat specialist to see if that’s possible

I’m trying to work out the map update too. Unfortunately it hasn’t been successful so far. I will do a video as soon as I figured it out.
For now, there is no map update for NZ version yet.

Hill descent ability
hai many people who own mg hs dct is changing it to amt is it possible through system ? is it affect warrant of the MG.
I doubt it affects warranty if you don't say anything.
Is the Hill Descent Feature not a standard in all MG ZS EV?. If my ZS EV does not come with this feature, is it possible to swap the module & upgrade?.I saw in a Demo fully loaded model of the MG ZS EV with the SunRoof, that the Hill Descend feature button was blanked off!. Thanks.
Ive got the mg hs manual version would u reccomend just driving around using autohold ?? Basically id stop with brake and clutch down and parkijg brake automatically comes on then raise clutch to biting point and go? What would happen if i stalled would auto hold remain on ? Im new driver first car lol

Can someone tell me can the passenger seat (electric powered) height be adjusted? Can move mkne back and forward, not up and down
No height adjust on passenger side :(

Hi Jerry...had a problem today with my MG HS when i tried to pull off in reverse whilst the car is pointing down a hill...I got in started the vehicle, put my belt on and the red parking brake clearly shows on the dash...i put the vehicle in reverse gear and the camera option comes on my screen to show behind the vehicle so i go to pull off in reverse and the parking brake wont go off and allow me to pull off...ive even tried turning the parking brake off when ive got the biting point with my clutch and accelerator and still it wont knock off...any idea's what this could be?...ive had these electric handbrakes on a few of my vehicles so im used to using them and have never had this problem before with any of them...Any help would be much appreciated...🤞🏻👍🏻
Sounds like a problem. It needs to go back to MG workshop and check

Door is not completely shut maybe? So the car doesn't want to disengage the parking brake...just a theory
Hi, i have this problem. When im listening to music and if i want to record while listening to music on snapchat, it wont record. Is there anything I can do to fix it???
try disconnect bluetooth or carplay before recording?
@@JerryPanandCars if I disconnect the bluetooth, there will be no music

Auto hold was enabled on a ZS EV when we took it for a test drive. The delay it introduced and elimination of creeping forward on idle throttle almost made us not buy the car. 😂
Garbage vehicles. Drove one for two months. Absolutely bloody hated it.
