    Awesome. So I just paid several hundred dollars to be in an online event called Watercolor Live, but I found myself tuning out and watching your channel instead. Your instruction is really excellent. Exactly what I've been looking for.

    This might be the very best explanation, and more importantly visual demonstration, of the consistency of the watercolours everyone on here talks about. I’ve been doing watercolour for a couple of years now and this is the first time I’ve been able to really grasp the concept! Thank you so much 🙏

    Very very useful...I just found your channel and subscribed...i love wet on wet technique a lot...as I hate rush in art! I like anybody who does slowly and planned way of art....art should be slow and relaxing not rush rush....to create stress

    • @nvfineartstudio7296
      @nvfineartstudio7296  2 года назад +1

      Thank you Sujanith! I completely agree, there is no need to rush, there is always plenty of time to make something out of what you are painting, you just have to trust yourself and the process...the more experienced you get the slower you can be... Most of the masters can have long conversations while they paint, and students complain "I did that mistake because the paper got dry too quickly", nothing wrong with that, don't get me wrong, watercolor is a lifelong apprenticeship, that's the beauty of it 😊

    Nina thank you very much for this video. It is very informative, explains the problems well and the quality of this video is fantastic. I would like to thank you especially for the last bit about paper it is amazing how good quality paper can change everything, which I did not know and I experienced at the beginning as I used only mixed media paper :-( . Please continue your great tutorial and I will be watching your canal with pleasure.

      Hi Anna, thank you very much for your feedback. I put a lot of information in my videos and sometimes I'm not even sure if it's useful for the viewers. In re paper: for some reason Instructors in general say it's ok to use student grade paper while learning. In my opinion it's opposite, it's best to use good paper... professionals can paint on their knees and still get results, but while you learn you need to eliminate all the obstructions and inconsistencies as much as possible. Best of luck in your watercolor journey!

    Love your painting. happy to see you are posting more lately, Nina. Jou werk is pragtig . I'm sure you understand that bit of Afrikaans. 😉I have never seen a woman paint like you do and I have watched my fair share, I promise you. You have a very unique style which I love, like Joseph Z or Alvaro. When i need inspiration I watch the train station painting, it takes my breath away the way you created it! Greetings and love from South Africa!

I'm so glad my art shows my true nature :) JZ, Alvaro and especially Amanda Hyatt are my idols... the way they can capture a moment is pure magic...

    Where I live in southern Arizona paint dries the second you apply it to the paper. Our humidity hovers around 15% most months. It's definitely a challenge.

    • @nvfineartstudio7296
      @nvfineartstudio7296  2 года назад

      I hear you, between Jan and Feb it's like that here too...can be above 40 during day and above 30 at night with 15% humidity... everything gets yellow and brown...2019 was particularly bad. We had a rainy winter, it produced lots of vegetation and super hot dry summer...it resulted in the worst bush fires , entire east cost got burned 🥺

    Hello there. You mean using of white watercolour. Is it Chinese white or titanium white ( opaque white )? May I ask ?

    • @nvfineartstudio7296
      @nvfineartstudio7296  Год назад

      Hi Huyen, I mean opaque white watercolor, titanium white. I also use sometimes Chinese, but it has very soft effect due to its transparency (similar to Buff Titanium).

      Hi Monica, if you are in Australia it's available in many Art supply shops, such as Riot Art, The Art Shop, Eckersley, etc. It's also available on Amazon, just search "20 well plastic tray palette". If you cannot find it, you can always put your typical palette at a ~20 degree angle.
