Why cant Hasbro the biggest toy company in the world not give us great figures like this. Like the beautiful articulation scheme, paint and accessories. After picking up these Valverse figures last year and now getting the awesome Ryu and Fei Long from Jada toys they both just blow anything Hasbro has done out of the water. There are no more excuses Hasbro stop the BS!
I like both G.I. Joe and Valaverse lines. They compliment each other! Awesome video man! Im thinking of getting that tin can guns accessory pack! Such a good value.
I am so glad you took a look at these, it was fun hearing your reactions and excitement. That Crimson Shadow tin has become one of the most useful items in my collection. I find myself going to it for darn near everything and it's great for storage of the Accessory packs too. Swarm troopers are simply amazing, I don't army build in 6 inch (I generally keep that to 1:18th due to space) but with Swarm I went with 4 cause they are so cool, especially with the gear pack. I'm between you and Ninja on Pandora (BTW my fav of that wave is Eclipse) I like her a lot but not as worried about the flaws you pointed out (I did notice them though). Trigger was my first figure and at first I was kind of 'meh" to him believe it or not, then he just kind of grew on me. I got in right around series 2 just before special deployment and found the figures to be cool. Honestly, I love this line because it is fresh, not sure if you have read any of the comics or the book, but it's like taking a lot of military aspects and making them mature for kids who grew up back when, but still it's own animal. I like Classified but it's very much old ground and I feel they are just scaling up my memories where as Action Force is new and it's own thing. I'm not sure why some have rejected it but me, I decided to embrace it. But glad to see you looking at these and this was a fun look.

Your reactions to the gold firearms were pretty much the same as mine. I absolutely love the Steel Brigade "standard" rifle. That grenade launcher reminds me of my favorite ARAH GI Joe gun that came with Copperhead. The Mega Tin of weapons is epic, they go so well with so many different lines. I've had a great time popping and swapping the Action Force figures, and I was able to make a Firefly that suited my tastes. One of my easiest/best kitbashes was swapping Bone Collector's head with unmasked Winter Soldier, it looks really cool. A point on the Sarge figure that some folks might not know, the storyline is set in the "near future" so this Sarge is an older version of the classic Sarge, and he isn't as swole as he used to be, its a nice touch, AND, hasbro gave us Classic Sarge, so no worries either way. Both figures are pretty cool.
Great video, manny! Very thorough, and I think your opinions are very reasonable. I still haven’t bought my first action force figure, but I want to get some eventually. I hope you keep showcasing them, as you are one of the more mainstream toy review channels and I think they need more support as they are a small independent company.
Manny you can put all those accessories from the Vala Sgt. Slaughter onto the Joe Sgt Slaughter. The bandolier will be tight but it’s doable. Also the shades from the Vala fits more snug onto the Joe version. You schooner have an issue with them falling off. I know I did this very thing. Best of both worlds. Let me know how it works for you. ✌🏽
I've been following the line for several years, and I first started purchasing the weapon packs. They have such nice sculpts and adapt to most 1/12 figures. As for the figures, I army built the Garrison Calvary and Blowback as G.I. Joe infantry units, and they look great with my Joes.
Xmanny - thanks a lot for this video. Valaverse Action Force has been a line I have been following since Series I. With extremely limited space, I cannot venture into the Action Force line as much as I want to. However, I did pickup a Desert Rat and I am completely satisfied with the product. Good quality plastic molding with accessories galore. I cannot wait to see the vehicle he is working on.

@@Xmanny87 I have a dio with Thor, Hulk, and the Thing and I needed a Bruce Banner (kitbashed the Hood and Mr. Fantastic), Donald Blake (kitbashed Agent Coulson with a Johnny Storm head), but no Ben Grimm. So I used Desert Rat. Even though Grimm was a pilot I couldn't find any astronauts or pilots at a reasonable price or scale.
Glad to see that you're enjoying them! The whole conversation of comparing Valaverse and Classified doesn't really make sense. It doesn't have to be either/or, but both. Both lines exist and are successful, and they both have their strengths and reasons to collect them. They're both there if you want them. I'm not all-in on either line, but I buy the figures that I want that I think look good from each line. It's that simple. They complement each other and I'm a happy collector. I don't see the problem.
I always love to see more companies competing with Hasbro! Jada Toys with their Street Fighters and upcoming Mega Man line is another fine addition to the mix. I was so shocked to find out they didn't paint the black line on the back of the Target Ant Man figure. They pulled the same lazy ass move with Tarantula from the Spider-Man "retro" line. Their cost cutting measures make me angry and sick to my stomach at the same time. Do you think the Haslab Goliath/Giant Man will be his blue/yellow or red custom and which one do you prefer? I prefer the blue/yellow one since the ToyBiz one was red.
Jada Toys looks to be the next big thing for domestic toy lines. That’s crazy about the missing paint. Didn’t know about that. Also I think I mentioned it in one of my videos before. I think it’s going to be his classic red outfit with his blue/yellow Goliath version as one of the tiers. That’s my prediction.

I think your spot on with the best figure so far is the swarm trooper (with gear pack). I agree the women do need the curves you mentioned. A couple of addendums to OPs thorough post, the sci-fi looking sidearm most hero characters sport is the Maxim 9, a real-life integrally suppressed handgun made by Silencer Co, the one that comes with the Spec Ops buck is an H&K MP5, Sarge's primary is the M32 MGL, his secondary is a Smith & Wesson performance center model 629 chambered in .44 Magnum, the Steel Brigade one is the Z-M LR-300, the security enforcement pack comes with a G36 Primary, and an FN 509 LS Edge for a backup, pandora's sidearms look like a couple of HK VP9s. Most weapons are pitch perfect, But Bobby and the team did mess up with the HK 417/ HK MR762, that piece is chambered in 7.62, but they come with .556 mags.
Thanks for the video. These figures are fun. Enjoy GI Joe equally. Don't understand how sharing an opinion, and constructive criticism is considered an attack these days. It's not like you did an entire video of Yo Mama jokes. Our toys wouldn't get better if the flaws aren't pointed out. Then they can be improved, adjusted, or corrected. Keep posting videos, I'll keep watching. Hate giving recommendations for... anything, especially action figures... nope, especially food suggestions... since taste and esthetics vary from person to person. Still, Kerak and Bone Crusher stand out to me. Has that Mad Max/ biker gang/ mercenary feel to them. New versions hopefully coming soon.

I could see a fun scenario where Action Force beats the Joes to a scene and takes out some Cobras, and Gung Ho being like "Who they hell are they?" and Scarlett going "Independent Contractors." Setting them up to like uneasy allies / frenemies.

They're definitely good figures. The problems are the terrible disk necks and the women's legs. That shin bone is waaaaay too long. I'd be surprised if Vala fixed it though. Having to create a whole new mold just for that one part probably costs too much.
I wanted to support this line for the longest time but never found a reason to, I got a little taste of the quality with a weapons pack I got off BBTS but not a full on figure, the military aesthetic just isn't for me. But after awhile I convinced myself that whichever character I got was gonna be a Call of Duty rep on my video game shelf, got Desert Rat and the weapons tin and I gotta say, the figures aren't bad, they're okay honestly. But those weapons are god tier and Bobby Vala makes the best 1/12 scale weapons, period, not even up for discussion.
13:00 I don't really mind if the female figures don't have much of a femine physique, as they are mostly soldiers that probably don't care too much about looking pretty or sexy. But at the same time it would be neat to have some female figure types and parts that are feminine too, along with other body types. As a random weeb on the internet I who's name is escaping me at the moment once said: "there's more than one way to have a waifu (or husbando)".

That is well said about the cult mentality. I collect figmas with gi joes, valaverse and some other brand like mezco and dragon horse. Variety makes this hobby exciting. Great review and more power mate!
I've been mentioning the leg proportions on the female figures since they've been previewed, the hips are too narrow and the lower legs + foot is too long. Now that you mention it, the thighs are too narrow and the calves are a little too thick. But my criticism has been largely ignored. I also agree on the neck articulation, the figures have a hard time angling the head to sight down the rifle. More people need to bring it up to Valaverse and maybe they'll address the issues. That said, there's a lot to love about the Action Force figures & accessories especially the customizing options; which is why I own 45 Action force figures and several gear and weapon packs.
Valaverse Sergeant Slaughter looks like Popeye the sailor!! 😂 The only ones I like are the females, the guy with the Metal helmet and the one with the Glasses and rag on his head. But valaverse Sergeant Slaughter is hillarious Popeye looking and tiny 😂

I know. I usually wait awhile when it comes to new lines like these to avoid any QC’s and such in the beginning. I had my eyes on them but never had the room in my budget to dive in with all the multiple lines I collect. So I saw a good opening to get the few I’ve been wanting and I’m very happy with them.

That is well said about the cult mentality. I collect figmas with gi joes, valaverse and some other brand like mezco and dragon horse. Variety makes this hobby exciting. Great review and more power mate!
It’s a very good line, but easy pass for me. Compared to Joes, they aesthetically don’t have the same appeal. I had two and sold both.
Totally understand. I’ll always be a GI Joe guy through and through no matter what. But it’s nice having fun with these to compliment the line.
I've been mentioning the leg proportions on the female figures since they've been previewed, the hips are too narrow and the lower legs + foot is too long. Now that you mention it, the thighs are too narrow and the calves are a little too thick. But my criticism has been largely ignored. I also agree on the neck articulation, the figures have a hard time angling the head to sight down the rifle. More people need to bring it up to Valaverse and maybe they'll address the issues. That said, there's a lot to love about the Action Force figures & accessories especially the customizing options; which is why I own 45 Action force figures and several gear and weapon packs.

I know. I usually wait awhile when it comes to new lines like these to avoid any QC’s and such in the beginning. I had my eyes on them but never had the room in my budget to dive in with all the multiple lines I collect. So I saw a good opening to get the few I’ve been wanting and I’m very happy with them.

I’m not throwing shade at him at all. Robo and I are friends and hang out at cons/ToyFair whenever we can. So I would never disrespect him. I was talking about some collectors in the community between interactions on fb, IG and such in general. So please don’t put words in my mouth of such an absurd assumption.
