Shopping cart/buggy/cart/basket/hand cart are all American names for trolley depending on which part of the US you are in. My parents are from the Appalachian area and they call it a buggy. I grew up in Florida and call it a cart.
In America we call the top of a drinking vessel, a cap. Lid is for every other cover of a storage vessel.
I think the 2-words the girl was trying to remember was STEAM IRON.
Nail clippers in the US could also be called nail trimmers (my hubby is from New England and that's what he calls them)
I call the cable car a tram or gondola.
In the US it's a shovel, not a spade. And some older people like my granny, call it a pail, not a bucket.
Receipt is often confused with recipe for Spanish speakers because receta means recipe in their language. Receta in Spanish also means a prescription from a doctor, that's why the girl said it when she was thinking of what receipt means. Factura is what a cashier hands you when you buy something, and La cuenta is what you ask your waiter/waitress for when dining out.
    Great video, as always.

I would say it's not a shovel and not a "little shovel". It's a dustpan. And as for spade, isn't that almost the same as shovel? Aren't both used to cut the soil? It would be good if the British guy in the video cleared this up for us.

IMHO: 1) The thing covering the bottle is not a lid, but a cap; 2) The "r" in "iron" IS pronounced in American English; 3) Some people - I'm one of them - find the initial question, "How good is your English?", a bit weird, and would say "How well do you speak English?" instead; 4) What differs a spade from a shovel is not the size, but the shape of the blade; 5) The "u", while pronounced in "thorough", it is not in "thoroughly". Love your videos, keep doing your great work.

Normally, I do try to elicit both UK 🇬🇧 and USA 🇺🇸 vocabulary in the beginning as you can see later in the video, but I missed cap. In terms of the R in Iron, it is pronounced, however, in the video they weren’t saying /aɪrn/ (USA) but more the British way with R, iRON 🙂 anyway, always appreciate the comments, thanks 🙏

You were lucky to meet brazilian with this level of english, since the percentage according to research is 3% or the population are fluent ( meaning they can really go beyond than the book is on the table)! I guess the reasons you found these good speakers in brazil are : Number one in Rio, where the number of tourists is bigger than any other city in brazil the probablity of finding brazilian english speakers is also bigger and reason 2 among gay people (who tend to be more educated, and enjoying learning foreign languages) is also easier to find good speakers, other than that you have to struggle a lot to find good english speakers oon the streets in brazil!

I don't think American English is easier. I think that since we live in America, we have more access to American English. Here in São Paulo, only a few schools had British English and it was more expensive when I was young.
