  • What's the biggest flaw with the newly updated MacBook Air 2020?
Who is this laptop meant for?
    What are the alternatives?
What lies in the near future for ultra thin and light laptop?
Edit:There seems to be a significant overheating with chrome, so if you are a web developer, you should be aware of that.

Hey man, i liked your video, nice work! I'm considering buying a Mac for for at my own consulting business (mostly data insights) and I'll work with big data and machine learning. I love apple so do you think that a Macbook proc16'' will do fine short-mid term (2-3 years). Plus want an ipad pro 11" as side car + light photo editing on the go. What do you think?

The MacBook Pro 16" is the only Apple laptop product that I think is truly great. If it's price tag is not a problem, I would definitely pick that over any other laptop that Apple makes without any doubt.
For the longevity I think the 16MBP it will definitely outperform the 2020 Macbook Air as well as the current Macbook Pro 13" since it has a way better thermal design, I think you will be fine for at least 4-5 years with it.
I personally would get the i7 6-core 16gb (maybe 32?) 512gb base configuration, and with the saved cash from not buying upgrades such as the i9 or 32/64gb of ram, I would get either the ipad pro 11" (I think that last year model is also fine if you can find one perfect condition and save 200/250 $/€ on the used maket) or save towards a Windows/Linux Desktop for computationally intensive workloads which I would not immidiately get, but only after you get experience with the type of computational resources YOU specifically need for YOUR specific workloads in order to know were the bottlenecks are, and what computer components would actually benefit you.
I also forgot to mention: the base configurations are also easier to find on sale or with a discount on Amazon or similar stores.
