Very well done. I am afraid you've just added a project to my list
I have the CNC, just happened to order the plasma cutter earlier today, all I now need to do is put the two together 🙂
Cheers for that
Thank you! I’m glad to hear that!! You’ll won’t regret it!😁👍🏻
This has the making of a great channel, keep knocking some projects out mate.
Thank you!🙏🏻 I will, next up is the progress of build an cnc mill, but my ordinary job takes the most of my energy.😊 my plan is also to build a new workshop so I’ve got some more space for create my future projects.
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap Good stuff and good luck.
Thanks😁👍🏻
Thats some good results on the final test cut.
Cool project
Thank you!🙏🏻
I would advise you to use the external compressed air source of the plasma cutter because I think that the built in air compressor is not made to run for so long.
Thank you! I’ll think you are right about that, I’ve did run the external compressor but the connection leaks so I got to buy an new connection👍🏻 thank you for watching!👌🏻😁
NICE!👍👍 AND SIMPLE.
Thank you! Yes that’s how we like it, why complicate stuff.😁👍🏻
what do you do so that the frequencies do not interfere with your electronics
Hello, this looks good. I Have same plasma from Lidl And I welded table for it. Do you Have some details of control And electric for this project?
Very good, nice work
Thank you!!😃
👍😀
great project well done thanks for sharing, I am looking to do the same with my Parkside plasma cutter I have the pro version, I here people talking about hi frequency cutters and that it would be a problem but I can't find out much more about it, have you had any issues with using Parkside plasma cutter and it destroying the electronics?
Tank you for watching!!🙏🏻 I am currently working on my V2 cnc plasma table with 3d printed parts, inspired of JDs garage, but with my own touch..😊 I did not have any interference issues with my setup, then I’m not sure if it is that my cutting surface and earth clamp is separated from the machine frame by resting on an Mdf board, or if it is that the plasma cutter is an low frequency unit.. haven’t had any problem with it so I’ve didn’t mind getting in to it.. but I’ve know what you mean.😁 good luck with your build!👍🏻
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap thanks for your reply. I will keep watching and learn more everyday
thank you for your video
Thank YOU for watching!🙏🏻😁
Thanks for making this video. I am hoping to use my own Parkside Plasma cutter with my current homemade C-Beam gantry machine. My cutter is a PPS 40 BZ, without a built-in compressor. My question is: does the tip of the torch need to touch the metal stock to initiate the arc? I doubt these cheap cutters have any kind of high frequency start, but nonetheless I don't remember having to touch the tip to metal to start the arc. Does your microswitch trigger the torch at a small distance from the stock surface and keep it at that height during the cut?
Thank you for watching my madness!!!😅 I’ll set my trigger to hit when my torch is about 1 mm from the metal, and that works just fine, I will rebuild my mounting for the torch tho, so it’s floating by springs to follow the metal when or if it warps.. i hope you got the answer you needed? Cheers!🍻
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap Thanks for answering! One more question: does your gcode also control the trigger to interrupt the torch between cutting moves (e.g. between letters) or do you achieve this with "safe height" moves on the Z axis to turn off the microswitch?
I’ve set the switch so when lowering the z axle it trigger the torch when it is about 1 mm from the metal. Haven’t experimented with trigger by g-code yet, but when I’ll build an new cnc plasma machine I planning to try that. But First up is to build an cnc mill😊
Nice work pal.
Thanx mate!🙏🏻
Amazing!
Thank you!😁🙏🏻
Nice , i like that.
Didn't have overheating problem in the electronic cabinet? Do you have a fan inside?
Thank you! It’s a fan in the power supply😊
I have opened the machine and have extra wires from the relay of the torch switch to a plug that is mounted in the back of the machine and connected to the relay of my bus control box, works with arduino uno and estlcam, adapted for plasma
Cool!! 👍🏻 Do you made a video about it?😊
no sory .. i'm not very handy with posting a movie , lol .. but if you have any questions . let me know so that we hobbyists can help each other .. my machine is also made of waste from the local demolition and people like you with good ideas
Thank you, I will for sure do that. Yeah building stuff out of waste is so fun and challenging👍🏻😁
i dont get the thing you did with the trigger, you losened the kabel for the trigger so you cant pull the trigger with your finger, and then you putt a "clicker" there instead, but that "clicker" isnt conekted to the torch, is it? then how does the torch know when to ignite?
The torch ignite by the micro switch when the z axis lowers to the right cut height and it’s adjustable depending the thickness of sheet metal I am cutting. I hope that makes sense?😊
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap wait im stupid, xD i thought that micro switch had to be conected with the torch... but yea that switch is the new "trigger" of the torch, but thy :D
😉😃
@@naren4wood560 I have opened the machine and have extra wires from the relay of the torch switch to a plug that is mounted in the back of the machine and connected to the relay of my bus control box, works with arduino uno and estlcam, adapted for plasma but stil great job 🤜
So nice 🤘👏
Thank you!🙏🏻
hello, what parameters did you use for burnout? What speed and power is set on the plasma?
hey its me again, i have a question about the signals tha cutter sends off that could damage the motors/controlboard, how did you handle this=?
Hi, I’ve use particle board between the frame and the cutting piece, in that way the earth clamp does not interfere with the machine..
I made a video where I 3d printed an adapter to hold the plasma torch with the router mount of my Longmill CNC router. I put a relay switch on the control board to trigger the torch. Now I am looking for a way to do torch height control so the torch will follow the metal if it bends from the heat. Have you looked at doing that yet?
Sorry for late reply!!😊
Cool I will check out your video!! I have bought an machine torch for my plasma cutter, and I will machine a new mount that will be able to move up and down if the metal warps... I think I will use springs that hold the torch down but so it can move up and follow the steel as it warps.. I hope that I can get some time to dig into it soon!!😁 thank you for watching!👍🏻
Gli va fatto qualche manutenzione?
Can you tell me the number of the consumable tips ect please, I cant find it in the manual

I guess u mean thoose?
Very nice!
What controller/breakout board are you using?
You didn’t experience any signal interference from the HF start on the plasma? I’ve read a lot about problems with disturbances from the HF start
Thank you!
It’s a parallel port breakout board I don’t remember the name of it, but I will check it out and come back to you.
My computer has shut down a couple of times when the plasma cutter gets stucked, That’s all
Okay, great. Thanks for aswering!
No problem! This is the kit that I’ve used building this cnc router.

No problem, Thank you for watching!😁👍🏻
bello ,lo vorrei anche io il plasma c'e l'ho gia' che prezzo mi viene a costare un attrezzo come il tuo?
Thank you! 🙏🏻 I payed 180usd for the stepper motors an controllers and I built the cnc router from random scrap metal that I’ve found and from stuff I’ve had laying around..😊
You build is supper nice thanks for sharing. Can i ask what software are you using to control the cnc ?
And did you had any EMI problems ( electrical noise) with that plasma cutter ?
Thanks
I see one of my question being answered in the other comments, but please share about the software
Thank you Daniel! I use Mach3
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap Thanks for the fast reply. Did you made any extra grounding to your CNC ? Can you share some pictures of the wiring of your control module?
💪
No I didn’t do any extra grounding, but the tray that I’ve made temporary for putting the sheet metal on sits only at the mdf board. So the metal pieces I’ve cutting and the ground clamp from the plasma doesn’t contact with the frame of the cnc machine. I don’t now what would happened if they did.. I can show you some pics of the wiring for sure, but I will do that after work, please remind me if I forget.😊😅
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap Just a kind reminder :)
Buona idea avrà un bel futuro ciao
Thank you!🙏🏻😊
Shit, good idea👍👍👍
Thank you!🙏🏻
that is very nice build! How the external switch works? I'm also thinking to build a veeery cheap plasma CNC to cut only sheet metal (1.5mm) and today I just discovered that cheap Parkside machine, nothing beats that price! I'm just figuring out how your switch works.
Subscribed!
Hi and thank you!
The switch is moveable depending the thickness of the steel thickness.. then I’ve use vectric aspire that is an wood carving software, I’ve set the cut depth to 1.5mm and one pass... then I zero my plasma cutter (Z axle)to the material and adjust the switch so it’s pressed in at that height then I lift the Z axle 1.5mm and zero it again... so when I run the g-code the z axle go down 1.5mm and starts the plasma cutter... sorry for bad explaining but I hope you’ll get the idea, or else just ask again!😊👍🏻
@@buildsstuffoutofscrap Yes, I get the idea! thank you
No problem!😎👌🏻

Non potete fare i video in italiano?
Here's a tip, if your video is only 10 minutes long, don't fill it up with a music montage, it hurts your channel.
Thank you for feedback! I Will keep that in mind👍🏻
