great project, I have a few similar.
I have found couple of minor things helpful.
making a through hole tapped on back of that with a grubscrew pushing the cutter out makes it easier to adjust (I prefer M3x0.5, one turn=0.5mm deeper cut or 1mm bigger hole).
drilling hole ofset so edge of cutter passes center (or closer to anyway) you don't have to grind half the metal off to get cutting geometry right.

Nice slotting tool/bore cutter (not a fly cutter)
You could potentially use the base part for both, by cutting a hole in the base for the HSS tip and with a locking screw mounted on the side, so this little tool could serve multiple purposes, kudos!

in their kit, made as and when required.

Why waste so much time, material and effort, ruin an end mill, to make a tool to cut a slot that the end mill could cut easily and produce a finer finish and a better end to the slot!

If you put the locking screw(s) into the side of the holder, rather than protruding from the underside, this will give more rigid access for machining items clamped above the vice jaws. Tools can be ground to cut any shape desired.

So practically, destroying an end mill combined with an unfinished fly cutter project brings us to this one of a kind project! Quick question: if its not a slot cutter, nor a fly cutter, then what is it? A waste of material and time! You can do better, just make an effort!

Obviously your not a machinist so im not going to berate you for something like this.....good that you are thinking outside the box.
Do gotta say that , as a toolmaker, it turns my stomach seeing videos like this....soo many things wrong here....from wasting a lot of time and materials for doing something that could much more easily be done more quickly and accurately , to the damage you are doing to the machine that isnt necessary.
